SCHOOL BOOK JULY 28,2024 1 Corinthians 14:13-26 KJV
My Respond: COGIC WORSHIP- I worship Christ that is God, A God of understanding, A God that shows you who he is , A God that teaches you how to live. A God that who haves a heart, A God that gives you a heart like his A God that gives you freedom of actions, speaking, and to be in his presence-&church. A God that can be private and given privacy.
"Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God." (Re.21:2-3) Isaiah refers to a covenant of the people for a light unto the Gentiles. It is called the light of the Lamb for the saved nations on the earth. (Re.21:23-24)"
Isaiah presents Jesus Christ as Son of man who set things right and as a judge his earthly ministry showed him that he would not not be in their petty quarrels or culture wars. For instance he asked, "And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?"( Luke 12:13-15) His parables were indirectly addressed to open their mind as to God's ways. Their nationalism were as misbegotten as we have today hatched by the devil. God sent his Son and "He shall bring forth judgment unto truth./He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth:"(Is.32:3-4)
Here we have a list of things for Jesus Christ to do such as "To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house."(42:7). Of the parables Separation of goats from sheep is left to the Man component, "Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as theLord's servant?/Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not."(42:19-23) When he judges he shall not as the Word made flesh but as the Lord of lords and king of kings. "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:/And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:"(Matt.25:31-32)
Separation of light from darkness has its judgement as well as 'justice done' part.
"I theLordhave called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;"
This chapter begins with the Man component in the everlasting covenant which as the key text tells us is the covenant of the people. Nothing less shall fully justify the Fellowship of God with Man. When God sent Jesus Christ to the world He sent him as the true Light so we shall firstly set the Gentiles in the context of the light. God is the Father of lights so it is appropriate to set the separation of light from darkness in terms of light. 'Unto this day' explains the inheritance of saints in light. In the covenant we shall look at the part of God whose Will encompasses 'in that day".
"Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto theLord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." (Is.55:7) In the light of the word what is darkness to the holiness of God? His holiness addresses the ways of the wicked. The covenant between God and the Son is according to the Word of the Law. The Psalmist says, "The darkness and the light are both alike to thee" and the word sent forth shall not return to him in void. So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.(Is.55:11).
Jesus Christ presented himself as the light of the world. "As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."( John 9:5) This is what led to the light of the Lamb which is not on the earth but in mid-air, "And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband./And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them,"(Re.21:2-3)
Sing, O ye heavens; for the Lord hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel."
Here the word of God is addressing the lower parts which refers to the outer darkness. Parables of Jesus made so much so clear. The nation of Israel proved to be unprofitable, their traditions of their made the word of God to none effect.(Matt.25:30; Mark 7:13).
"Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." (Is.43:19) It is the Lord's doing and it is marvellous in our sight. The word of God does not change. Here is an example.
"When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel."(De.32:8)
We see the inheritance of saints in light which refers to the day of salvation tagged as 'unto this day.' Jesus sets twelve throne for the apostles. " And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."(Matt.19:29)
Similarly in that day we shall see how 'God may be all in all'.
The House of David and the inhabitants of Israel on the earth shall come under inheritance as God tells Moses. These allotment is according to the sons of Adam where the mingled race include both Jews and the Gentiles alike. The same 12 tribes shall be maintained as the eleven apostles gathered in the upper room before the day of Pentecost, the idea was to keep the number 12 in tact. As it is in heaven so it shall be on the earth. "Thy word is truth." Amen.
"In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness."
In that day and unto this day are tags that the Spirit has set up as signposts so the covenant fulfils both the Will of the Father and of the Son. The Word or the Law is what gives man his volume so Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever is the Lord. He is the Lord of heaven. Our faith and works are part of the volume of God and of Man. We have been blessed "with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ" which explain "And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly."(1 Co.15:49;Ep.1:3)
House of David is a hold all to indicate Jesus Christ as the son of David makes every believer relate to David the man since we are created in our image. Meanwhile David is also a double for the Son 'after our likeness.' With regards to the fountain opened for the inhabitants of Jerusalem it is made up of the Gentiles and the Jews which were left out. They are the heathen promised to the Son. "Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession."
The Spirit sets Gentiles marked for grace as God tells Moses,"And I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation." (De.32:21). God sets the Gentile King Cyrus-("That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure"-Is.44;28). We already see the idea of Jerusalem for Jews and the Palestinians in the air. The Word of God calls them mingled race. (Ez. 9:2). With the surname of Israel we have them among the nations saved. " One shall say, I am the Lord's; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the Lord, and surname himself by the name of Israel."(Is.44:5)
"In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness".
About this fountain we have the authority of the Spirit. "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."(Re.22:17). This is addressed to the House of David so it references Jesus Christ who in his humanity came out of the loins of the king; and Jerusalem on the earth, which is a mixed race.
This fountain is new and it references the new heaven and new earth. (Re.22:1). This raises the question what is the purpose for the fountain? It is for sin and uncleanness of those which were left behind. The verse 'saved nations' in Re.21:24 need to be addressed. They were blind to have refused to hear the word of God. "And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them." (Is.42:16). In the Fellowship of God with Man we find the bride already has been installed in the holy city of God. That is on the word of God and in that day God may be all in all. So God as he says to Moses, "For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."(Ro.9:15). The same word sent out of the mouth of God shall accomplish and these are conditional as stated in Re.22:17. Firstly, 'whosoever will' and take the water of life freely. For those who reject, there is death and hell. As with everlasting punishment lake of fire shall keep on burning. "This is the second death./And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."(Re.20:14-15)
Mark 10:17 - And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
This is something else we probably would not catch in our English Bibles. You see the word good? That is a special word! It is the word AGATHOS. There are several different Greek words for the word good. AGATHOS, as we also see in Mark 10:18 that Jesus is going to use it. Jesus is going to say why did you all me AGATHOS? There is only one who is AGATHOS, and that is God. Why did you call me AGATHOS? He is bringing it to his attention.
Mark 10:18 - And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
Jesus said "Why did you call me good?" There is only one that is AGATHOS, and that is God. Do you realize what you just called me? You called me God. Why did you do that?
Mark 10:44 - And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.
The word for servant used in this verse is the word DULOS, meaning slave!
Mark 10:45 - For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
The word "ransom" means "to purchase a slave out of the marketplace." And that's basically what Jesus did for us. We are enslaved to sin, and He paid the price to free us from sin.
Mark 10:49 - And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
Where it says be of good comfort, that is the word courage. It doesn't mean be comfortable. This could be properly translated as "Have courage, rise; he calleth thee.
Mark 9:42 - And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
Again, the word offend is the Greek word SCANDALON. It is where we get out word scandal from, except in Greek it had to do with a stick that was used to prop up a box. And it was used like a trap spring so that when an animal would run underneath the box, they would pull the stick and the box would fall down and they would trap it.
Whosoever shall trap one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea. That is pretty serious!
Mark 9:43 - And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
This is what's called a hyperbole in literature. Jesus says that if your hand offends you to cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands and to go into hell. This would be Gehenna, the Valley of Henon.
The Valley of Henon was just to the south of Jerusalem. It was the Valley that they used to offer their children up in sacrifice in the old days. But at this time when Jesus came, they were using it as the garbage dump. People just came and dumped their garbage into the Valley and it was constantly burning. It is called "The Valley Geh of Henon," or Gehenna. It is better for him to be maimed than to go into Gehenna, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
Mark 10:7 - For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
The word cleave is the word glue in the Greek text. Interesting!
Mark 9:29 - And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
And again, just like the Matthew text, that little phrase "and fasting" is added to many manuscripts. Originally it was just prayer, but if you keep the fasting in there that's not a problem. But just so you know, it is not part of a formula. What is the first thing Jesus said? He said the answer is, bring him to me, and if I am not here, pray! Bring him to me!
Mark 9:34 - But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.
Literally in the Greek, it is "who's the greater," showing comparison. It is not who is going to be first. It is comparing themselves with the other disciples as to who is the greater of them all.
Mark 9:35 - And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
So, Jesus sat down and called the twelve, and He said to them, If any man desire to be first (that is, the chief), the same shall be last of all, and servant of all. The word for servant is the word DIAKONOS. And that is where we get our English word deacon from. In Greek, it is the Greek word for a waiter, somebody who waits on tables in a restaurant, a server, without tips.
So, He says "if you want to be the chief." You see, in the Kingdom of Heaven, the frame of mind is different than the mind of the earth. He is saying your frame of mind is totally earthly. Who's going to be the greater? Jesus says let me show you what it is like in the Kingdom of God. If you desire to be chief, you will be last of all, and you will be the servant of everybody. In the Kingdom of Heaven, the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven is the one who's the slave and the server of everybody!
Mark 8:38 - Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Jesus said, Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me, and the word ashamed in Greek means to withdraw. It doesn't mean you are embarrassed. It means you draw back from the things of Christ. Whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, I'll withdraw from you (when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels). If you don't identify with me here, when you face me on Judgment Day, I am not going to identify with you!
Mark 9:2 - And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.
The word transfigure is where we get our English word metamorphosis from. Metamorphosis, METAMORPHEO, means that Jesus didn't just change His exterior appearance, but He literally changed in form. He was no longer in His physical form. He was in His glorified state or resurrected body as some people like to think of it. He was transfigured and transformed before them.
Mark 9:11 - And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?
The King James says Elias. That is transliteration of the Greek word. He is talking about Elijah. Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first? The prophecy comes from Malachi 4:5-6.
Mark 9:17 - And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
Somebody from the crowd answers and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; that is, the demonic spirit keeps him from speaking.
Mark 8:10 - And straightway he entered into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.
We have no idea where Dalmanutha was. Some believe it was on the western side near the city of Magdala. Mary Magdalene came from Magdala. But they have never been able to find the city.
Mark 8:29 - And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.
The word Christ is from the Greek word CHRISTOS, which is the Greek equivalent to MESHIACH in Hebrew that means Messiah. Both CHRISTOS and MESHIACH mean Messiah. You are the Messiah. And then in Matthew, he also said the Son of the living God, which is an expression of deity. He was saying that you are God in the flesh!
Mark 8:33 - But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.
Please notice the position, and this is something from here on in that the Lord is going to emphasize because this is the heart of discipleship. The ONLY relationship to have with Jesus, if you are His disciple, is behind Him. Jesus says follow behind me, OPESOMOU. OPESO is the Greek word, very emphatic! There is only one place, and that is behind Jesus, following him. Not alongside of Him, not in front of Him, but behind Him!
I am always open to questions and comments on anything I post, so if you have questions, please ask. That's one of the nice things about having an open forum!
Yes Ronald , some very simple psychological experiments have been done to prove just how easy it is to manipulate us human beings into thinking / feeling and behaving in certain ways . We are all much more easily influenced than we could ever imagine . The prince of this world knows this and he preys on us through the things of this world , the sight of our eyes , our worldly desires and weaknesses . He uses this world against us , especially when he senses our weakness .
We all have weaknesses and it's good for us to recognise and admit them , to ourselves and each other . Not necessarily the usual things that plague this world , worldly lusts , alcohol , drugs , gambling , promiscuity , violence etc . Here is mine . I have a problem with suffering . When I know someone or even an animal is suffering , and especially if I am powerless to help , I get very down and distressed and it can take me a long time to get past it . In this world , pretty much every day , I see suffering and some days it's harder than others for me to bear . If I haven't been getting enough sleep , if I've been overworking or not eating healthy , these sufferings that I see weigh even heavier on me than usual . It is important for us to take care of our bodies as best as we can because physical exhaustion and weakness can affect our mental and emotional state . When these things happen to me , which they frequently do , I resort to scripture . Psalm 23 , the Lord's Prayer or Jesus's own words , repeated in my mind , help enormously . Get thee behind me satan is a good one !
It's important to recognise that our physical state can affect our mental and emotional state . Now we as Christians know for sure that all flesh is grass and useless in the end , but we need to know that we must look after our bodies because they can affect our hearts and minds . We must look after ourselves as best we can so we can be fit to fight the temptations of this world and the prince of it .
"A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh."
A quick overview of the entire chapter of Ezekiel 36 shows that the meaning is primarily in the exodus and eventual regathering of God's people. When we get into a couple chapters later we enter the Ezekiel 38 war which continues showing the fate of nations that fight against Israel. This verse also is used to demonstrate the change in each believer's state; as opposed to the condition mentioned in Jeremiah 17:9 on how deceitful and wicked man's unregenerate heart nature is.
The principle involved in the nation of Israel repenting is found in this verse: Romans 11:25
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
The Lord will therefore use the time of "Jacob's trouble" ( Jeremiah 30:7) to put the Jews through the fire; and at that time 2/3 will perish and 1/3 make it through ( Zechariah 13:8) which signifies the refining fire. Naturally this is preceded by the arrival of the false messiah who will be venerated by many until the time mentioned in Isaiah 10:20 which would be at the midpoint of the Tribulation.
The new covenant mentioned in Jeremiah 31:31 and the next several verses after also could be applied to that which Christ accomplished for those in the church (or church age). It's final fruition will finally reach Israel who rejected the first coming of their king because they didn't recognize Him as the suffering servant; and or assumed He would immediately overtake their enemies and start an earthly Kingdom.
In general I would state that every age or dispensation has a similar fate; a beginning and end. Israel had several Diasporas and in the last days the church in general will fall away.
I agree with you and with what S Spencer said, it is like Paul said we are fed milk before we are fed meat and we must pray and let the Holy Spirit show us the truth. The love for each other and the love of the truth should be the basis of all discussions. I love it when truth outshines the understanding I may have of something, I would rather be shown the truth than be wrong, we are to be humble.
Our minds and preconceived ideas are one of our enemies from within we must do our best to block them out when we study and approach Scripture like we know nothing. We function probably 90 percent with our subconscious mind with little to no thought at all. Our subconscious mind can override our conscious mind when we are reading. We have preconceived ideas imprinted in our minds, and when we read or study the preconceptions override our understanding of what we are reading.
Regardless of how many times we have read the Scriptures, something as simple as the animals that went into the ark, you can ask that question and some will say two of each, male and female but Scripture says something different. Is that very important? Not really, but it shows how easy it is to read and study something far more important and not see the truth.
If we rely on our mind and do not open our eyes and ears to the Holy Spirit we are as Mark 8:18 Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember.
I agree we cannot count on what we have been taught, if we have access to the Scriptures we are responsible.
Two things that I think are very important , in life in general but especially when it comes to our relationship with God
Number one : it is extremely important , essential in fact , to keep an open mind and heart when reading the Bible . Why ? Because , once you decide that something is a certain way , a phrase or scripture means a certain thing , then you close your mind to every other possibility , including the possibility that you have made a mistake and interpreted it wrongly . Considering that the Bible is the Living Word of God , it's a big mistake to be entrenched in a belief before you have read and studied the Bible extensively and for a long time . Deciding that something is irrefutably a certain way may , block you from learning other things , as the Bible is a whole and consistent , if something is one way ,an individual scripture means one thing , then that may change and influence the way you interpret all other scriptures , it may have a knock on effect on how you perceive everything . And you may have got that first thing wrong .
Number two : do not just follow on with what others have told you without studying the Bible for yourself . This is strongly conected to my first point . You must read it for yourself with an open heart and mind and you must be convinced of yourself . You must get that personal connection to God and by reading His Word for yourself , very regularly for the rest of your life . God bless us all in our efforts .
"In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness."
Firstly we follow the tag and 'unto this day' dealt with the first fruits; by the same token 'in that day' must be in context of the Son to whom God had promised,"Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession."(Ps.2:8). It is thus we set the day of the Lamb as springboard for gathering the heathen that must have its own sequence. The command number Three refers to the Son. "And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God."(13:9) In the following chapter it is called the day of Lord and not wrath of the Lamb. In order to distinguish it we have the light motif. "And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark."(14:6). The living water is another motif, " And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea."(14:8).These two events owe to the coming of Jesus Christ in his glory, "and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.". This is mentioned elsewhere, " Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him."(Re.1:7) Living waters track Up and Down while the seas Across and as a result Jerusalem ("South of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place"-v.10) is precisely what 13:9 refers to. The Gentiles and the Jews alike are complicit in piercing the Prince of life but they have their place.(Re.21:24)
This shall lead to" And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one."(14:9)
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." (2 Co.3:18). This glory of God signified the garments of Aaron and according to the order it was an earthly image and Aaron's death on the mount is a proof that glory of it is pointed to something else.
"At that time the Lord separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day."(Nu.10:8). The tag 'unto this day' clearly lays down how we should interpret the priesthood of Aaron. "The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek."(Ps.110:4)
In the everlasting covenant sets inheritance of one nation in light and the other in darkness. "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;/Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God." (1 Pe.2:9-10) The other group as children of darkness would require light from above. "And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it."(Re.21:24) "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie." Conspiracy theories of our times are fed by Satan and sent in circulation whether in church or elsewhere by children of darkness.
"He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he."
His ways are perfect and it is demonstrated by example. God separated light from darkness and Jesus was among the nation of Israel as true Light. In terms of the light we have Moses and the vail he had to wear after receiving the commandments that he was on the Mount Sinai as the double for the Word become flesh. "But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded." (Ex.34:34). The Spirit places Moses once again when Jesus transfigured before his disciples and this time he is set in heavenly places. The true Light was come and Moses shows the order of heaven stands true. "The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven."(1 Co.15:47)
The Israelites could not stand before the glory on the face of Moses. Hence this vail, a symbol for their corruption. "They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation." (De.32:5) In the generation of Jesus Christ they belonged to a perverse and crooked generation. They also stand in relation to us in his Son. Firstly St Paul exhorts as to our calling, "That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world."(Ph.2:15) The order concerning the nations also follows in the manner light was separated from darkness. "When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel./For the Lord's portion is his people." (De.32:8-9) Jacob has his portion which is on the earth.
We see the order in the case of Moses. Moses is a stand-in for Christ. "The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven."(1 Co.15:47) Moses similarly stands in relationship with the Man in terms of symbols as well. God did not allow Moses to set foot in Canaan because of his transgression. In the case of the transfiguration we see Moses in context of Christ on 'a high mountain.'(Matt.17:1)
In the case of Aaron God wanted his son to go along to the mount. "Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor:/And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there."(Nu.20:25-26) His ministry was limited by death and Levitical priesthood stands in comparison with the Order of Melchizedek. Also significant is that he is conspicuously absent from the List of heroes of faith.(He.11). In his case the mount is the Rock of offence. "And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed."(1 Pe.2:8)
"But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming./Then cometh the end."
The order is set by God, and his Holiness is made up of Power and Wisdom two principles held in balance by the Word or the Law. In the Sermon on the Mount he is shown presenting the doctrine of God in his person. He was there as the Word become flesh. So the Spirit gives him a context, the mountain signifies just that. " For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."(v.18) This fulfilment refers to the end which comes in a series which we shall discuss in another post.
The Spirit presents Moses and Aaron in context of Jesus Christ so the mount plays a very role which is set forth by the Spirit for our spiritual instruction in righteousness. First we have the death of Moses. "And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:/Because ye trespassed against me."(De.32:32-51). The mount symbolizes the Rock which is Person specific. "For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges."(32:31). St Paul refers to the spiritual Rock and it was Christ(1 Co.10:4)
We can see from the emblem of the mountain in Matt.5:1 the Spirit instructs us that he as the stone cut not with hands came from the Mountain of God. and shall stop only with Zion the holy habitation of God. So God allows Moses to Zion from far, "Yet thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel."(32:52) The Spirit sets before us the Promised Land literal and the spiritual as well.
14 And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the Lord shall be known toward His servants, and His indignation toward His enemies.
15 For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with His chariots like a whirlwind, to render His anger with FURY, and His rebuke with flames of FIRE. --> Revelation 11:18>18 And the NATIONS were(will be) angry, and GOD'S WRATH is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be Judged, and that GOD should give reward unto His servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear His name, small and great; and should destroy them which destroy the earth.
16 For by fire and by His Sword will the Lord plead with all flesh.-->( Revelation 13:3 and 14) Revelation 19:21
15And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms OF THIS WORLD(Devil's world) are become the Kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. (Here is not only a proclaim but the physical establishment of GOD's Kingdom with a ROD of iron, understand? and the satanic NATIONS will be angry, they will be WRATHED, but all them will be as the vessels of a potter, and shall they be broken to shivers, understand?).
16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before GOD on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped GOD,
17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord GOD Almighty, which art, and wast, and art TO COME; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
18 And the NATIONS were (will be) ANGRY /WRATHED, and GOD's WRATH is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be Judged, and that GOD should give reward unto His servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear His name, small and great; and should destroy them which destroy the earth.
1CORINTHIANS 15:24-27
24 The END cometh, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to GOD, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

Mark 10:7 - For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
Mark 9:17 - And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
I agree my brother. The feasts are a fascinating study. And thanks for the additional information you have shared.

God bless,
RLW
God bless you!
The only barrier to the truth is to think you already have it.
Also we must use proper hermeneutics when studying. Let the Bible explain itself.
Be truthful in our studies and trust what the scripture says.
If one scripture seems to contradict another then there's an opportunity to treasure hunt and you must not let it bog you down.
Move on to something else, Perhaps there is more feeding and growth required.
There's some things that is above us at the moment.
One way or another these issues in disagreements doesn't cause hatred between true believers.
Hatred comes from those on the outside who has a different spirit.
There is false doctrine that the believer hates but one shouldn't hate the person that holds it.
God bless.

7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half (42 months or 1260 days- Luke 21:24 combined with Revelation 11:2 and Revelation 13:5-9, take a look); and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
