"To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;"
God asks Job, Has the rain a father?(v.28a). The Spirit gives us the answer. "The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; The world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the floods."(Ps.24:1-2). His throne upon the floods means that it is not that you seek it in the lower parts of the heaven but towards the throne of God. The Spirit calls it bottles of heaven. " Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven, God created the earth by His word so fulness thereof consists of clouds the sun, the moon and including even the clay. In v.38 we read,"When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together" is it useless? "When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,/And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing." ( John 9:6-7)
"To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
God sent his word and healed applies to everything on man and grass. "My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass." (De.32:2)
"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old./Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert./The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen."(Is.43:18-20)
"Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?"
"By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?"(v.24)
Division of light from darkness touches upon the everlasting covenant.(Ge.1:4) Parting of the light figuratively keeps day and night as separate kingdoms so ravens have day while the lions have the night (vv.39-41) Who feeds them? "(The lions) couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait" and the raven, "when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat? Benevolence of God upholds the celestial bodies by the word of his power; He "set a tabernacle for the sun,/Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race./His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof." (Ps.19:4-6). Job would have no inkling how God is able to part the light as he parted the Red sea before the Israelites. God scattering the east wind is with reference to the quails to satisfy their lust for meat. Job would neither have knowledge of the leanness to their soul on account of it."But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, And tempted God in the desert. And he gave them their request; But sent leanness into their soul."(Ps.106:14-15)
"Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;" (v.25) Here the Spirit is referring to the Prophet challenging the prophets of Baal. (1 Ki.18:20-40). Significant is the apparent 'anachronism' of Job would have lived in the Patriarchal ages, and not in the age of kings. Here we have the example of Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever"
26 To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
Wow! what a great God we can know and serve because He reveals Himself to creation, speaks to man, interacts with man, and guides history to the end He has decreed. If He did not reveal Himself, we would never be able to know He exists or what He is like.
Tomorrow, I will post Scripture that speaks to this uniqueness. For tonight, it is late and I am off to bed soon.
He is not one instance of God among many divine beings (a class or kind). His is the only divine essence and nature that exists which cannot be divided among other Beings that are in the "divine" class.
He is also unique in the way He exists. He exists as three distinct persons (subsistences) where each are wholly God and wholly united so as too not be three beings, but one. Not three gods, but one. Within the one divine essence, nature and being, the three distinctions of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are eternally so, without any having a beginning point. Each one is unified with the other two in perfection relationship with each other is intimate, glorious, loving, and harmonious.
God is unique also in that His perfection us such that He does not have composition or parts that He must be assembled in Him to make Him divine. If this were so, He would be dependent on the parts that needed to be fully God in perfection. But, since He is all of His perfections, He does not have components, parts, or anything incidental.
God is unique in that He is the only truly necessary Being. All other things and beings were made by Him and continue to exist by His will and power. If He could NOT exists, then all things would then not exist as well.
God is unique in that He is able to know the thoughts, motives, will, actions, and words of every being, whether of the spiritual realm or temporal, corporeal realm. He know these completely, not according to time, but simultaneously, because He is not confined by time and space.
God is unique because He is free and able to do everything He wills without any restrictions from anything or anyone else.
The uniqueness of God is so decidedly so that He transcends everything else infinitely.
He is completely self-sufficient and self-satisfied within Himself and does not need anything or anyone outside of Himself. He could exist all of eternity without ever needing to create anything. But He willed to do so.
First of all, He is unique in that He is the one and only true God. There are no others that are truly divine as He is. He is challenged by no one as a rival because He knows the truth that all other "gods" are false, idols made by men, and demons influencing men to worship these idols and thus the demons. He knows that He is far, far above and different from any being. No other being has His divine perfections to the infinite degree. These are His holiness, sovereignty, omniscience, omnipotence, omni-presence, immutableness, self-existence, life itself, eternality, and totally free and independent of any other thing or being.
He is unique in that He is the only One who exists outside time and space and also everywhere within time and space at the same time.
He is unique in that He is not only "one of a kind", but that He is not truly a kind, genus, or class as all other things and beings are.
He is unique in that He is in truth all that we call His attributes. He does not possess them as other beings do. He is them. He does not possess life as other beings, not deriving his life from any source outside of Himself, He IS life. Whatever we can say of His perfections (we call them attributes) He is those perfections always and simultaneously without setting any aside to express another perfection. He does not increase in any attribute or lessen in any. He does not turn any off and on. He always is ALL of who He is in His perfect existence. He even does not possess existence or life as other beings do, He is existence and life. I Am Who I Am. All that can be said of Him is who He is, not what He has as things separate from Himself that He acquires in some way. The same can be true of His essence and nature. He is His essence and nature-One perfect divine essence and nature. As humans we speak of these things in ways that we possess attributes, essence, nature, life and existence. For us these are alll derived.
I, also, will pray for you. It must be hard to part with someone you've made a life with for three decades and also to have endured a decade of her fight against the cancer.
May God bring you comfort every day, happy memories of your wife, and hope for this life and the life to come.

Thou sayest, Lo, thou hast smitten the Edomites; and thine heart lifteth thee up to boast: abide now at home; why shouldest thou meddle to thine hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?
My Respond:
It's best not to do what you believe in yourself if not of God to say and do. Because it can turn into pride that can lead to a defeat.

And Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.
My Respond:
"Our strength and success, should always be grounded in obedience to God, not in your abilities & pride." My interpetation what has blessed me not to believe in thistle but to Trust in God Ephesians 6:15 KJV having obedience not to go astray staying aligned with God's will.
When it comes to our own logics and preparations we must see logic as the set of rules we must follow to think like God thinks , when is to think rightly . Logic undegirds morality , making decisions between right and wrong. Gives a clear conscience to speak and behave and helps you making decisions not to be bitter and harm people. To help have preparations is to read your bible ( Romans 12:2 KJv)
Preparation- In a general sense, to fit, adapt, or qualify fir a particular purpose, end, use, service, or state, by any means whatever.
Ways your logic can be in God's logic is come to God in humility to receive Jesus Christ in your heart ( Romans 10:9-10 KJV) believing in his death burial , resurrection.- Matthew 27:50 KJVMatthew 27:51 KJV, Matthew 28:9 KJV .
In the earlier part we saw the everlasting covenant was the people's covenant where the fellowship of God with man gave the saints a volume with spelled the fulness of God where the Word serves as the law. Here we shall see it is Person specific.
"And set bars and doors,/And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?"
This is demonstrated in this incident where Jesus stilled the storm. "And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm." (Matt.8:23-27) The story of Jonah is associated with the sea. Jesus refers to his own death and resurrection as a sign. "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."(Matt.12:40). Setting bars and windows place the earth as one to which clouds serve a purpose as well.
"The waters are hid as with a stone."(v.30) This stone serves as stopper So when God sends the great flood we have its use. " In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened./ And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights."(Ge.7:11-12) The Law or the word of God has already set doors and windows in heaven as well as on earth. Forty days (4x10) refers to this word that went forth from God.
Blessing of man in his Son sets his transience as of no great consequence since his olume is made permanent by his Son.
Blessings always come from the greater to the lesser. So God asks, "Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?/ Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?" (vv.2-29) Within His holiness what is seen is temporal and what is unseen is eternal. (2 Co.4:18) Life as a vapor.
I need to remind myself more and more often that all the events we see in the world today are just a reflection of what is going on in high places today; with the raging spiritual war in the 2nd heaven. Of course it is only through the 3rd heaven; exercising the authority through the Spirit of the power of Christ above that enables us to actually engage in any combat to resist the legions of evil that are controlling the masses today.
The sad fact is that many professing believers aren't really in the faith at all; and the rest that are only have a small segment that are in this "vertical" aspect in the spiritual realm. In terms of what is proclaimed; therefore in the first example people are calling on endless blessings by making presumptuous proclamations and twisting certain verses to align with their own agendas. In the second case; for all those who have the potential to be in the battle many aren't protected with the proper armor or are not offensively fighting with the sword of the Spirit as Ephesians 12 tells us to do as our only offensive weapon we have.
It is one thing to preach of God's love and forgiveness to God's enemies as Jesus did; selflessly until death. People can over or underemphasize the fact of man's depravity and enmity with God with humans; but with demons and Satan himself we dare not make the mistake of viewing them as anything but enemies; out to steal; kill and destroy both our own lives as individuals through various means such as intimidation; accusation and temptation but also controlling the whole world system (world; flesh and devil).
Here is some practical advice.

God is working all things according to His purposes for our good. To be tried we are tested to see what is genuine ( 1 Peter 1:7).
May God grant us the strength to endure until the end.
In order to understand the volume of man, Ch. 38 of the Book of Job shall help us. The same division of the two worlds framed by the word of God sets man having a body and spirit within which the Word serves as a seed which as part of the inner man is unseen. By fruits one shall know and it is what works would mean. "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."(Matt.7:17-20)
God challenges Job so we shall examine what are boundaries of our world made to appear as well as what is seen or the fruits thereof. Blessedness of the tree planted by the waters has a volume (Ps.1:3) Our study on Job can help us from wandering off course by keeping focus on the tree planted by God.
"Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding." These foundations are unseen and as many pillars God has set up for the House that Wisdom built (Pr.9:1) shall be seen. So there is an order in keeping with holiness of God. These foundations are the seven days in the everlasting covenant. The House with seven pillars are intended to last everlasting and as the people's convent and we have this testimony saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God."(Re.21:3). This is marked eternity. Our own makeup where Christ dwells in us by faith consequently must hold a working relationship. St Paul's prayer makes it clear, "That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;/That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,/May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;"(Ep.3:16-20) The indwelling Spirit is grow into the fulness of God. It is how we set our inner man the sign for the word of God working in us.

3And the Lord said, Cast it on the ground. And Moses cast it on the ground, and it became a SERPENT; and Moses fled from before it.
4 And the Lord said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the TAIL. (WHY to take by the TAIL? ISAIAH 9:13-16 is a clue to understand the why of this) And Moses put forth his hand, and caught it (by the TAIL), and it became a rod in his hand:

3And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.
4And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the TESTIMONY, where I will MEET with you.

I agree with you and the signs are all out there. This terrible events in the Middle East and the idea of two state Israel that we hear lately must clarify: Jerusalem of the mixed people as prophesied in Isaiah shall not be fulfilled without a crisis. The events are moving towards that. "Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not./For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."(24:26). His advent is from above and the church is collected 'as where is" his by the same Power that raised up the Son. "Come as you are, is the call." The glorious body makes our clothes and other things unnecessary. "Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:/Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes." It is what St Paul referred in 2 Co.5:1
It seemed he said I am not a Christian in that statement.
As to that subject I have skirted around it but have sent veiled warnings that the powers that be are working with both major political parties. There are those who discuss the matter in greater detail; but as with most other subjects I leave it up to the discerning reader for the Lord to reveal to them the truth. The scary part is now certain prophecies are no doubt at least partially coming to fruition; as the soon to come Tribulation will arrive. God Himself is going to allow and promote the coming "Lie" mentioned in Thessalonians. The only question is who is really Christ and who is Antichrist as their destinies will in many ways seem to align the same; i.e. both will cause fire to come out of the sky (either the False Prophet that is representing the Beast or Elijah and the other Prophet).
I believe God restrains things as long as the church remains on the earth; I won't get into an eschatological debate here but will say it appears for now the gates of hell won't prevail against the church but saints are overcome as stated in Daniel. The focus needs to be on continuing to "occupy until He comes" ( Luke 19:13).
What goes on today reflects how few wish to preach repentance from sin as associated with true salvation. It also reflects pride in that we don't seek prayer and fasting for the nation as true prophets did but hold out optimism which is unrealistic in general as to the last days which are characterized by many falling away. I can't discount that some sort of true revival could occur if the coming of the Lord is delayed longer than we think; such as a more severe judgment or series of events that at least could lead some to repentance. So I leave it up to the individual if they are truly convicted about praying for a revival; in general we should continue to witness and for any lost sheep to draw tham way from the apostate church.
In all these profound truths Eliphaz along with the others was accusing Job of being unrighteous despite his declarations. His lies about him not helping the hungry and similar things were completely against his character which even the others didn't say as he had already defended his care for others above himself. How he wasn't included in those God rebuked may be because he wasn't truly someone who knew God and therefore praying for him wouldn't have helped. That's my take on it anyway.
Perhaps you are reading into the 'Last Supper scene' in the Olympics event, what wasn't there. The fat jolly figure in the middle is more Dionysus that Christ. It is a spectacle and along the Seine the best way to present a memorable eye candy for the TV viewers is to pan the camera along the length. The real event in the upper room would have had more reclining table and intimate space about the bread and wine. The long table as shown in the Da vinci painting is more artistic license than real. I will tell you what is more obscene was to present a convicted felon and unrepentant pathological liar at a Christian conservative convention to say, You don't have to vote again and to say, Hi beautiful Christians, I am a Christian," I thought it was as bad as Antiochus IV offering a pig at the Temple. Well to each his own. The mechanical horse was Pegasus and not from the Four Horsemen.
I agree with you what we get for entertainment could have been made only in the Hell's Kitchen and meant for making a quick buck.
When Christian preachers serve the devil's doctrine and justify slavery as a moral duty toward the man of colour, it shall soon spread and what we get is what was sown by such false witnesses.
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him./But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God."
The Law here mentioned is the Law of the Spirit, unity of which we see in the Synoptic gospels. So word was not flung at random leaving it to chance. God is a Spirit, and he cast forth the word that it shall succeed. "Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days./Give a portion to seven, and also to eight."(Ec.11:1) Death and resurrection of his Son was already in his divine Will.So the earth and lower parts were to be brought under the word of his power. It is what we mean by the Unity of the Spirit. This unity is associated with the Lamb in the Vision of John. "a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth."(Re.5:6). Fulness of Christ carries several tags of which we shall consider number Four as a Command number. All the gospels which are canonical delineate this fulness from this number to establish the Word was God. In Matthew we have the deity of Jesus while St Luke presents his humanity. Mark and John have their own specific gravity and these do not contradict one other. St Matthew presents the doctrine of God the Beatitudes with the symbolic backdrop of a high mountain. (Matt.5:1) Whereas St Luke sets Jesus on the plains and he references the mountain for some other purpose. "that he went out into a mountain to pray."(Luke.6:12) and begins the Beatitudes later. " And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people from the Jews and the Gentiles. (v.17). He sets woe to ye discourse along side. St Matthew devotes a separate chapter for it.(Matt.23)
"And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace./For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ."
The word of God is qualified as word of his grace; "to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified." it is also described as word of his power, "and upholding all things by the word of his power."(Ac.20:32; He.1;3).The same fellowship of God with man is word based. So God by making man a living soul showed grace in action. Blessings must be explained as manifestation of his grace and it is what we received freely. When we received Jesus Christ our Saviour we became part of his fulness and power with which he uphold 'all things' and it gives us foreknowledge as well. Much of it is through the Bible, in which they are given for our admonition upon whom the end of the worlds has come.
On a personal note my word ministry in this open forum as well as in my other blogs is based on that it is addressed to to a great congregation, "I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, thou knowest."(Ps.40:9). What I believe as revealed by the Holy Spirit and true I have set forth. By the grace given to me I do not count how many more days or months or even decade, God is my comfort and my bulwark and He shall fulfil concerning my work.
This fulness we see in the manner what is whispered in the ear becomes common knowledge. " For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known./Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops."( Luke 12:3). The Syrian king had much to fear. His conspiracy was plain before God and before the prophet. (2 Ki.6:8-11)
How are we to approach the next big international event?
When it comes to major sporting events and concerts the pattern the last several years is to have some demonic ritual beforehand. The Olympics which stated a few days ago is the most recent example. Most people here are probably aware of the mocking of the last Supper and other obvious Satanic imagery including apparently the pale horse from Revelation at the end (or a white type horse and its rider). Apparently at least one athlete from the USA decided after that opening ceremony not to participate and one sponsor has decided to withdraw further support.
It is hard to imagine at this point someone naively watching the next big event and not expecting something in your face of evil. On one hand we can't fault those who wish to watch the Olympics for the sake of the athletes only. It would seem to make the most sense to deliberately avoid the garbage before the athletic competitions or perhaps at the end.
When it comes to many music events; whether live or televised on the other hand it is best to avoid them entirely as far as I can tell. Today it is very hard to find a performer who is actually fascinating from a musical perspective who may tempt us to overlook the rest of the evil because they actually have great talent. I find acoustic guitar masters in that category and some bluegrass performers. The truth is it is mostly sex appeal or some addictive line that people relate to with secular performers; boasting of their sexual conquests; wanton violence; or greed if not downright Satanic lyrics talking about suicide in particular.
In some ways I'm thankful that things are out in the open; the end times are now breathing down our necks and it can't be avoided as discussion. My Pastor mentioned a study stating 40 percent of Americans think we're i the end times; but apparently only 6 percent of Christians if I understood right spend much time in scripture. Let us use our time wisely
Mark 14:62 - And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Interesting how these verbs work in Greek. It is either transitive or non-transitive. This is a non-transitive verb; it is just I am. That is all He said. That is His name, the name of God in the Old Testament in the book of Exodus.
Mark 14:63 - Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?
First, I realize you already know this, but the word "rent" is the word tore. The high priest rent, or tore his clothes, which by the way is illegal for him to do, which is very interesting. In Leviticus 21:10, it tells us that the priest cannot tear clothes. But he did. And he says, what need we any further witnesses? So, he says throw that rule out too. We will just make up our own. We have heard him. And they all condemned Jesus to be guilty of death.
This is all I have to share on Mark. I am working my way through Luke and hope to be posting on it soon.
Mark 14:36 - And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
Abba is Aramaic for father, a very intimate word.
Mark 14:43 - And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
The word for "sword" means the small hand sword that the Roman soldiers would use in hand-to-hand combat. This word "staves" in the Greek are literally wooden clubs. The wooden clubs are the ones the temple police would use. They are coming out with swords and wooden clubs, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
Mark 14:45 - And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.
In the Greek text, this word for kiss has a little preposition, KATA, added to it. It means he kissed him fervently and affectionately. He didn't just come up and put a little kiss on Jesus' cheek. But he grabs Him and says master. He is giving him a very affectionate kiss.
Mark 14:53 - And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.
This would be the Sanhedrin, the governing body and council of the Jews, made up of 70 leaders of the chief priests, the elders, and the scribes.
Mark 14:61 - But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
This is a fulfillment of Isaiah 53, "he was silent before the shearers."
"Son of the blessed" is actually a translation of the Hebrew term meaning Son of God. Are you the Son of God? Art Thou the Christ? The word Christ is from CHRISTOS in the Greek. And it is MESHIACH in the Hebrew that means Messiah. Are you the Messiah, the Son of God?
Mark 14:3 - And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
We know from John 12:3 that this woman is Mary, the sister of Martha, and sister to Lazarus. I just want to point out something about this "alabaster box." It is not a box. It is actually a flask. It had a long neck on it. And they were generally made out of marble. And in order to pour this, which is actually a burial spice, but in order to pour this on the body, they would break the long neck and just pour the contents out.
Spikenard is actually from two words. It's actually named nard. It is from a plant that's found primarily in India. But it is the word pure, pure nard, genuine, unadulterated, which is the reason why it was so expensive. And she comes in with this alabaster flask and she breaks the flask and poured it on his head.
Mark 14:5 - For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
300 pence is 300 DENARI, almost a year's wages. This again is something we as English-speaking people are not going to catch just by reading this verse.
Mark 14:21 - The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.
Keep in mind that the word woe (whoa) is only a good word if you are a horse. If you are not a horse you are in trouble because woe means destruction, OUAI in Greek means destruction.
Mark 14:32 - And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.
You may already know this, but Gethsemane is the Hebrew transliteration of the wine and olive press on the Mount of Olives. The winepress is called Gethsemane.
Mark 12:42 - And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites. Those aren't bugs. Those are the names of coins. It is actually the word LEPTA. A LEPTA is only 1/64th of a day's wage. Somebody figured that out to be about 10 or 12 minutes, 1/64th of a day's wage.
And so, two of them (two mites), it adds up to a KORENTAS, 1/32nd of a day's wage. Not much! She threw in these two coins worth 1/32nd of a day's wage. Today, someone might have sent a visitation committee to her house. The word farthing is the word KORENTAS.
Mark 13:8 - For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
The word "sorrows" in the Greek text is the word for birth pains. When a woman begins her delivery process, the birth pains come further apart, and they are not as strong. What Jesus is saying is that when you see all these things happening, it is just getting started. Don't think that the end is coming anytime soon.
Mark 13:9 - But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
Notice what He is saying to the synagogues and to the Council. The word council is Sanhedrin, the chief Council of the Jews. He is talking to Jewish people. He is talking directly to His disciples. He is talking directly to His believers, the Jews.
Mark 12:15 - Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.
In the Greek text, Jesus says "Bring me a DENARIUS, that I may see it." A denarius is a Greek coin. And the denarius represents one day's wages. You can't use the Greek coin in the temple because it has the image of Caesar on it. But Jesus says, bring me a denarius so that I can see it.
Mark 12:37 - David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.
They said, "Oh, this is great." They loved every minute of it. This Man is the wisdom of God. Listen to Him. Go ahead scribes, answer Him! So, when He quotes Psalm 110:1, David is saying to his Son, my Lord. Well, how can He be his Son, and then He is his Lord? So, Jesus is saying, how does that work? They couldn't answer!
Of course, the answer is the word son (HUIOS) has to do with descendancy, not a literal son. So, he was actually calling his Son his Lord, even though his Son would come after him, He actually existed before him. He was his God. This is the same thing John the Baptist said. The one who comes after me was before me and was preferred before me.
Mark 12:41 - And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
Now I like this one! This would be equivalent to Jesus sitting across the tithing envelopes in the foyer in church. That would make you nervous wouldn't it? Jesus was watching how the people cast their money into the treasury: how they were doing it, not how much, and many that were rich cast in much.
Mark 10:52 - And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
The word whole is the word for salvation, SOUDSO.
Mark 11:22 - And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
So, Jesus responded and he said (According to our English Bible), Have faith in God.
Literally in the Greek text, it reads "have the faith of God." Big difference! And the word "have" is a command. Have the faith of God! Faith is a gift from God, not of man. So, when we call out for mercy, we also call out, "Lord, I believe but help my unbelief." Lord have mercy on me, I don't deserve it, but if You don't have mercy on me I'm lost. Jesus says, have the faith of God.
Mark 12:1 - And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.
The word husbandmen is the Greek word for farmers. That was pretty customary to see in Jerusalem, where you fix up a vineyard and then rent it out to some farmers because you're leaving the country. And what the pay would be is that when the harvest comes, you would get a certain percentage of the crops. That is a pretty good deal!
Mark 12:14 - And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
The question is, is it lawful to give tribute, (that means tax) to Caesar, or not? They want to know if it is lawful. To the English-speaking mind, to give tribute to someone might mean to pay respect to or speak well of them.
Hi Jaz: Amen and I believe you are wise with the spirit of the Lord in how we should deal with our weaknesses and I appreciate you not calling them sins. God Bless :)
Hi Jaz: I agree with all that you're saying but I'd like to take it a little bit further. Once we are of the mind set we are studying the bible with a heart and mind to know the truth of what God says only, we need to have faith and believe that that IS what He said. We need to be sure we are not of an unsound mind going from one belief then another thinking we have studied wrong.
I wonder how many Christians go home after church and don't even think anymore on what was preached (like I used to) instead of studying the scriptures the pastor used sometime before next Sunday and see if it is truly of God.
I appreciate your comment and I hope it goes into the heart and mind of many. God Bless :)
"For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;" This we shall understand from the separation of goats from the sheep (Matt.25: 31-46) Resurrection of the dead is in their order which must be set in a single standard. That is man angel and the fulness of Christ. As one measures the holy city of God by it man, fulness of man must be synchronised with the fulness of Christ. St Paul calls this a new creation. If anyone is in Christ he is a new creation. This gives the Word, the word become flesh and the will of God same hold which we can call as the Law of the Spirit. Jesus Christ the same (He.13:8) is for an example refers to the word as a seed in our heart. The example of Jesus Christ as the way, the truth and life similarly holds us to walk through 'strait is the gate.'. Thirdly All the promised of God are yea in his Son. This is Christian Living.
The Spirit reorganized the narrative from standpoint of God and also from the Man component the everlasting covenant is covenant for the people and not for angels. Thus the narrative mode which has its own vocabulary and sign posts. Hermeneutics as nominal Christians throw around in this open forum is merely beating about the bush. It does not serve God but for something else. The children of light are already judged as righteous in Christ so this separation of goats and their judgment must be set in proper context of the fulness of Christ. "Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?/ Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me./And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." (Matt.25:44-46)
This verse references the sign God gave Gideon.
26 To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
Pt. 3.
Wow! what a great God we can know and serve because He reveals Himself to creation, speaks to man, interacts with man, and guides history to the end He has decreed. If He did not reveal Himself, we would never be able to know He exists or what He is like.
Tomorrow, I will post Scripture that speaks to this uniqueness. For tonight, it is late and I am off to bed soon.
PT. 2
He is unique in a number of ways.

1 Corinthians 5:11
James 1:26
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Jude 1:23
2 Timothy 3:13
Ephesians 5:11-12
2 Corinthians 6:17
1 Peter 5:8-9
Proverbs 4:23-27
8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the Tabernacle of Witness; and, BEHOLD, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.
9 And Moses brought out ALL THE RODS from before the Lord unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.
10 And the Lord said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the Testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that THEY DIE NOT.
11 And Moses did so: as the Lord commanded him, so did he.
12 And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.
13 Whosoever cometh any thing near unto the Tabernacle of the Lord shall die: shall we be consumed with dying?
Jeremiah 1:11-12
11 Moreover the Word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.(ROD of Aaron's)
12 Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast WELL SEEN: for I will hasten my Word (the Rod) to perform it.
HERE YE THE ROD
Micah 6:8-9
8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
9 The Lord's voice crieth unto the city, and the MAN OF WISDOM shall see thy name: HEAR YE THE ROD, and who hath appointed it.
Hallelujaaah!!!
Exodus 4:1-5
1And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The Lord hath not appeared unto thee.
2And the Lord said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.
5That they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, the GOD of Abraham, the GOD of Isaac, and the GOD of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.
Numbers 17:1-13
1And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man's name upon his rod.
3And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.
4And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the TESTIMONY, where I will MEET with you.
5And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall CHOOSE, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.
6And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for EACH PRINCE one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.
7And Moses laid up the rods before the Lord in the Tabernacle of Witness.

God Bless!!!
