Just a short comment, Saul did not become Paul he was Paul, there were not two Sauls. Paul was a Roman citizen his family was from slavery who was freed and made Roman citizens. His Hebrew name was Saul after King Saul both were of the tribe of Benjamin. He used this name because he was a Pharisee. His Roman or Greek name was Paulus, and when He went into the Gentiles, he may have used the name Paul/Paulas because he was the apostle to the Greeks. There are other thoughts out there but there was only one Saul/Paul you can search the archives there is more to learn if you want.
Not true....the mark could be placed underneath the skin by way of an electronic chip enabling a scanner reader when making a purchase, (this is active now in Sweden for some time) this could also be used as an entry system for access to key establishments such as chemists, supermarkets, hospitals, bank accounts #mobile app access... etc..However it will be used it will not be good, full control of the masses is the agenda, only our faith will prevail, the strong minded will survive so many will cave in.....even those who say they are a devout Christian will fall to the beast system. We will be tested, this is for sure.
I'm deeply sorry to hear about the pain that mothers experience from losing children, whether through suicide or miscarriage. The Bible offers comfort and hope in times of grief. Here are some verses that may provide solace:
1. ** Psalm 34:18**: "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." This verse reassures us that God is close to those who are grieving.
2. ** Matthew 5:4**: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." This reminds us that mourning is acknowledged and that comfort will come.
3. ** 2 Corinthians 1:3-4**: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction." This verse emphasizes God's role as a source of comfort in times of sorrow.
4. ** Revelation 21:4**: "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." This verse offers hope for a future without pain and loss.
5. ** Isaiah 41:10**: "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." This verse reassures us of God's presence and support during difficult times.
6. ** Psalm 147:3**: "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." This verse speaks to God's healing power for those who are hurting.
These verses can serve as reminders of God's love, comfort, and presence during times of profound loss. If you or someone you know is struggling, it may also be helpful to seek support from a trusted friend, family member, or counselor. If you have more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
I was just thinking about that. What I thought while I was pondering was His grace through the new covenant and how relationship with The Lord will be different than how it was in the Old Testament , but I didn't spend much time on it so that's just something that needs more time to be spent with God to see what He says. Great question I love questions that will make you think !!
Jer 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
That's what the whole verse says, we do things with our arms , think about it being dark in a roomwhere you can't see the average person will try to use they're arms and hands to find they're way through. To make your flesh your arm is to trust in yourself or human rather than God.
There are many examples in the Old Testament , of God saving the Israelites from their enemies . Read in particular the books of Samuel , Kings and Chronicles .
The ' arm ' is your confidence , your strength , putting your confidence in the flesh is a mistake .
God saves , literally , metaphorically and spiritually , He is our strength and we should only ever trust in Him , not in our own powers or in the powers of others , governments , armies , politicians etc . They and we , are just people . God is all powerful and can do as He wishes with any of us . If we loose a battle we have to accept defeat and assume that it was / is God's will that we loose a battle , maybe we were in the wrong , maybe God has other plans for us .
If our ways are not in accordance with His will , then He will let us know and we have to accept His judgements upon us .
Once I read the verse you were referring to, I believe that "Maketh flesh his arm" means that instead of making your arm based on God, so it's kind of like a way of speaking, instead of having an arm of God, you have an arm of flesh, in other words, an arm of man which goes with the first sentence of trusting man. So the whole meaning of this verse is do not put your trust in man but in God who never fails.
Q: The core value of seven days in the covenant is reconciliation of all things heaven and the earth unto Jesus Christ which is what the Spirit means by 'instruction in righteousness'. Am I correct?
A: Yes. " Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matt.5:48). There is no other standard than the man component in the everlasting covenant with which to be conformed in the image of his Son. The Bible sets forth the fulness of God in the narrative all place names, persons and events are therefore secondary and how heaven relates to the earth is the key with which we may enter into the scripture. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:/That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."(2 Ti.3:16-17)
Let us break up the seven days in which the first four days relate to the heaven, God divided light from darkness which has consequences on the other three days. The Spirit has organised the narrative body of the divine Will and its fulfilment under the light, "The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints."(Ep.1:18) The blessed shall enter into the day seven sanctified by God,(Ge.2:1-3).
As for the Man component, God commands, on Day Three,"And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so." This earth abides forever which shall have a form and present the light which called the light of the Lamb.. This earth abides forever.(Ec.1:4). "And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven."(Col.1:20) This is for which we have been called. The day Three relates to the Son.
The reed was used by shepherds to fashion a small musical instrument. Once cracked or worn, it was useless. A worn out wick was also useless for giving light. This represents people who are categorized as useless by the world. Christ's work was to restore and rekindle such people not to break them or quench them this speaks of His tender compassion toward the lowliest of the lost. He came not to gather the strong but to show mercy to the weak
Thank you I never heard of that before, satans trinity that's interesting I will be looking more into that. Thanks for giving me something else to keep my mind busy
You know you are right I didn't even pay much attention. I was focused on that one verse! That's what happens when you don't read in context. Thank you for that
to give to anyone who ask, I have family members who will constantly ask money, food, just about anything, but refuse to get a job or apply for assistance. I am on oxygen 24/7 and I live on a small disability check, and gladly pay for help around the house but they act like I have unlimited resources. My question is should I keep giving to them when my money is tight, I know God has always made way for me but I get tired of worrying about making ends meet.
Q: The multiples of seven throughout the Narrative sets the Father Son relationship. It must be based on the covenant. Can you elaborate on this?
A: Yes. It is seven days which are determined by the Law of the Spirit. He is the Word, the sound as well as the sign. "For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell."(Col.1:19). So 7 is made up of 4+3. This shall be seen in covenant where first four days refer to heaven while the last three days are imposed on the man component in the Son. He has a volume as well as a steward his creation is under his charge. He has to enter into the rest assured on the day Seven. Jesus Christ in the inaugural vision of John is seen holding seven stars. He is there as the Law figuratively presented which refers to 7x1000 that God has reserved for himself. It is to which God reveals to the dis-spirited Elijah. It is similar to 12x12x1000 that are seen standing on mount Sion. Both Father and the Son are co-signatories so to speak.
"And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees:"(Ex.15:27)We find seventy palm trees and twelve wells at Elim and the Spirit reports that God proved them there. God was present there as well as the Word. The Israelites camped by the waters. In rejecting the call of Jesus Christ they rejected the living waters. ( John 7:37-38)."And the Lord said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel." Anointing the elders was a forerunner for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit which refers to the truth,"My Father worketh hitherto and I work.""Receive ye the Holy Ghost."(John20:22) Jesus appointed seventy other disciples.( Luke 10:1)
In the Book of the Revelation,"And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven."(11:13) The tenth part of the city refers to Decalogue.
I hope you stay with us here even if you may not post as often. Having conversation with you is a blessing to me and of course, I want to know how to pray for you.
I am preparing to begin posting on a series of topics I discussed with Chris a month or so ago. Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide me in this endeavor since it seems He is leading me to do so.
Please pray for the installation of the counters to go well. They came a few weeks ago with the counters prefabricated but we had requested plywood under the laminate and they put particle board. So they needed to redo the process. Looking forward to having our sink, stove, and all installed so that we will have full use of the kitchen.
I look forward to meeting with you here in the future. God Bless.
Thank you, I have not seen or heard that opinion, I just believe the meaning of it is without an answer until it is revealed. One thing we do know if you do not take the mark, whatever this mark is, you cannot buy or sell, so it must be visible, Revelation 13:17.
I guess you can see from the summary the current status; I have things for now calmed down but can't make decisions based on either a crisis situation or a day or two when things seem to go smoothly.
I have honestly run short of new ideas on this site; things are so terrible I don't really need to give any more evidence here as to world events. Apparently from what my Pastor says the powers that be have stated outright they plan to eliminate the population of the earth by 4 billion by 2030. That with the statistics of people coming into the country and how close to the midnight hour we are in regard to World War at this point what more can I say? Let's pray for wisdom if this dockworker strike hits; haven't heard what day that may be.
I would probably try to live with another believer if I could. As to the subject of a place to stay I have a friend out here who I am helping as much as I can as he is on disability so he can keep his apartment. Pray for wisdom with my finances and for him to find if possible part time work; he is an artist as well and has a recent opening to show stuff but with his health he had to cut short one of the recent events as his gout; and other health problems made his legs feel like they are on fire. He has a serious weight issue with diabetes as well.
May the Lord guide you with the end of the current repairs and bless and protect you and your family. Agape;
Am hopeful at least for a matter of days or a few weeks to be able to hold fast here. If the issue ends up being my own anger then I certainly can lift that up in prayer as I told my mom; and if I can't deal with it then I'll be forced to move on. The good thing about this is it has brought several in church to be more focused on prayer as there are many other needs that have to be addressed that seem to be going under the radar so to speak. It is worth anything; of course to see others besides myself in my family come to the Lord and their spiritual welfare certainly has to be the ultimate goal here along with God's requirements for their care.
I appreciate your support. If I were to go back to Pittsburgh I would probably go out with those who evangelize frequently during the week and avail myself of that opportunity along with likely full time work again so my time would be reduced. Also I wouldn't pay for the data coverage unless I happen to stay temporarily at a place with WIFI. I will see what happens; I feel I have touched on most issues that I felt led the last few years to mention as topics here. Also in the Pittsburgh area there are several Bible studies and church fellowships along with personal friendships that I would reinvest in time wise. That is likely not going to happen permanently at least until my dad with Dementia also goes to a residence which he is against now; he could for now get an aide as my mom does.
Thanks for your prayers; let me know your needs as well.
I will keep you and your parents in my prayers. May all things come into place in a pleasing way and may God open up the hearts of your parents. May God place you in a new home that is reasonable in rent, comfort, and all your housing needs.
Q: What was the significance in the risen Christ who allowed Thomas to examine his wound and not Mary?
A: In his resurrection he considered himself as one with his disciples of whom Jesus said, "I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word."( John 17:6) In terms of the word, they were of as one. When he says, 'they have kept the word' it meant that he did it on behalf of them, Simon Peter's denial notwithstanding.
Jesus told earlier that he was yet to ascend, "Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God."(20:17). May calls him teacher while 'my brethren' are those that God gave to him. He was yet to be glorified, and in his prayer he asks, "I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do./And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was."(17:4-5)
I like what you said and yes there are many beliefs on what the number means. I kind of got my own belief on it.
We are created in the image of God, God consists of 3 so we are also 3.. body soul and spirit ( 1thessalonians 5:23) in the beginning Adam was perfect until he ate of the fruit which gave him a dead spirit , also we are all dead in spirit until we come into a relationship with Christ and He gives us His Holy Spirit , if you aren't saved your body is alive your soul is alive but your spirit is dead, so if you are body soul and spirit and if one part of you is dead that makes you 2/3 of a man and 2/3 in decimal form is .666
The 3 six's means continually.
And until you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and repent (have a change of mind)
You won't have the Holy Spirit inside you , I believe this is the mark, it's a mark only Jesus and His angels can see, demons can see it to they know when the Holy Spirit is inside of a person so I believe this is the mark. So basically I don't believe us humans will be able to notice the mark with our human eyes.
I will keep your niece in my prayers.
You said you are on oxygen 24/7 and I live on a small disability check,
I believe those who keep coming to you for help should be the one's helping you as much as you help them.
Don't feel guilty if you feel misused.
God bless you

The process of being made more like Jesus Christ, which is an ongoing process that happens between justification and glorification
Justification
The act of God pardoning sins and accepting someone as righteous, which happens at the time of receiving Christ.
Glorification
The final removal of sin, which happens after the death of a believer
Holy Spirit
The guide that helps people learn, grow, and be transformed into the image of God.
( by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous). Romans 5:19.
Our obedience doesn't make us righteous. Our obedience is a response to the Spirit that works in us. But, sometimes we grieve the Spirit.
This shows that we are not perfect/complete in sanctification,
However we're complete and Perfect in Justification.
We are freely Justified.
We are forever being Sanctified.
We will be Glorified.
God bless.
You're welcome, these have been a treasure!
Just to add to the humbling and strengthening of Peter.
In Luke 22:31the Lord told Peter Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
I noticed in this verse as well the Lord referenced Peter as Simon in connecting to what's to come.
Blessings.
"And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
