    Amen Gigi!!

Well stated, The Church is built on a rock!!

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

    Isaiah 28:16.

THAT ROCK IS THE LORD JESUS.

The Lord is going to judge his Church BUT the Church is not backed into a corner by the adversary screaming for help!

Matthew 16:18 is not a picture of the Church on defense! It's hell needs the Gates.

We march straight forward with the truth! THE WORD OF GOD.

We're not of the world where we compromise it.

We're separated and the Lord done the separating!

And by his word the climax of victory shall be seen.

I Love what you said! Christ is the HEAD OF THE CHURCH.

How could someone supposedly having the Spirit of God come against it?

If you have not the Spirit of God you're none of his.

    We're not all Brothern!

The difference in the Gospels speaks for itself.

If that sounds harsh listen to Paul in

    Galatians 1:6-10.

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Did Paul say let him be accursed?

Lord help anyone else that says that!

    The scripture is to sharp!

If I left out scripture and used secular definition here's what I come up with.

IMPOSTER; a person who pretends to be someone else in order to deceive others, especially for fraudulent gain.

    I'll stick to scripture.

    God bless.

Ronald, wells stated and sensible. I agree. We do not know what God has done outside of earth's history and earth's as our abode. I think it is wise to leave such matters to the hidden counsel of God. What He has not revealed He does not want us to know in this life.

Hello again, Alex, let me clarify one more thought. The verse of John 18:36 says:

My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence."

When Jesus spoke the last sentence He was not speaking in terms of timeframes, using "now" to indicate time, but as a way of saying "as it is" as when someone says to another, "now, now, that is what I said." (not meaning now as pertaining to time, but pertaining to the surety of what was said. "Surely" could be faithfully used instead of "now" in this sense.

Jesus was not saying that at that point in time, ("now") Kingdom was not of this world but would be hence" (someday but- surely, His kingdom is not earthly and not from here (earthly).

We may disagree on this, Alex, but by the words of our Lord, I don't believe He said He ever planned to set up an earthly kingdom. You and many may differ with me on this, and I am open to consider what others can present with Scriptural support.

    Hello.

I have a very important question. What does the Bible say about a dying person not wanting to continue with medical care. Is this considered suicide if you refuse to continue suffering with medical treatments?

    Thank you so much!

    Continued,

of Christ and the "manchild" on your own and separated from church affiliation. Your story is a classic example of how false doctrine begins and false teachers arise to promulgate these aberrant doctrines that twist Scripture, add to and take away from Scripture and intermix various scriptural phrases to say something the Word of God never meant it to mean. Also, when one intermixes their own ideas amidst scriptural bits and phrases as you do, it is wrought with error and should be rejected outright.

And I do just that with your teachings on this subject.

I do want to have meaningful conversations with you, Alex, and if you are able to speak to a topic without advancing these "newly discovered doctrines" laced in with your response to topics unrelated to your pet doctrines, then I am glad to engage with you. But when you wax into your usual plethora of false ideas, I simply discard most of what you have to say because of the blatant errors.

i love you, too, Alex. We have very different approaches to Scripture which lead us to have very different doctrines on some key matters of faith. I wish you well and many blessings. I know that you are older than me, I just turned 66 a few days ago, and you have less time than I do before going to meet our Savior face to face. May you days be filled with the truth of God's word and the love of God for His children and His church.

    Dear ,

Sorry Alex, but the text of John 18:36 clearly states (by the mouth of Jesus) that His kingdom is not of this world. You have substituted hence for world, which is a twisting of Scripture. I stand on the words of Jesus, not yours.

When Jesus instructed the disciples to pray, He said, Our Father, who art in heaven...thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Jesus was saying that the kingdom already existed in heaven. I believe Him. I believe that the kingdom has always existed in heaven. But Jesus said many times that the kingdom of heaven is near or come. Thus, saying that the kingdom that exists in heaven has come to men in the person of Jesus. The kingdom, though only available to angels and heavenly hosts prior to Jesus' incarnation, was now available to men who believe in Him to be saved.

He said that the kingdom of heaven (or God) was within you, speaking of His disciples. Jesus' prayer he taught the disciples was for the kingdom of heaven (or God) that He is the King of, would come to earth within men and women who believe the gospel and follow Him. He is the kingdom for us. He is the King who reign within us and in heaven. He has always reigned in heaven. But He brought the kingdom to earth by His incarnation and Presence in believers by the Holy Spirit.

Alex, you definitely have a disdain for the church that Jesus said He would build and preserve. It has been in existence for 2000 years. And yes, there have been problems of sinful leaders and erroneous doctrines, but there is the same problems as these in the church since the Reformation. I do not think that the answer is to swear off the church body with contempt for the church is still the body of Christ. I am not talking about denominations or buildings, but believers gathered agreement of the one true faith delivered to us all by the apostles.

From what I remember reading in one of your past posts, you stated that you "discovered" the doctrine concerning the "seed"

    Hi Littlesooz,

I agree we do not know what was before because it is not written, we only have the scriptures. All we can do is speculate which to me has no answers or end to what it could be. What would be the reason to venture or believe this earth was inhabited before the six days of creation we are given?

God has no beginning so what beginning would be in verse 1? I understand the beginning to be what is throughout scripture is God's plan for us and whether He had other plans before us, that is for Him to know. That's just me, thanks for your reply.

    God bless,

Yes you are right but this where the game change. Remember they saw the children of Men beautiful in their eyes and said to one another let us go and take them in as wife's and at the junction of agreement between them all they took HUMAN form and came down and took wife for them selves and it is recorded that it was when their wife's began to give birth that the people knew something wasn't right. So my dear the truth is once they took HUMAN form they natural possess every emotions man has and that is why they could explore our fathers to teach all kinds of things at the time. I hope this has helped.

    Hi Kalebu,

I see the temple of God as representing our relationship with God, which I feel is in agreement with what Ronald has spoken. In addition, the altar within the temple/tabernacle is representative of the Mind of God. Although some may disagree, neither have anything to do with the body, yet a healed body is the reflection of a mind which is in perfect alignment with the Holy Spirit i.e the Voice for God, which speaks ONLY for the Mind of God.

    Blessings,

    GOD IS

    Jimbob:

Matthew 24:29 Immediately after ----it's been 2000 years, that's not immediately after --- the tribulation of those days ---it's Christ's tribulation, leading up to his death on the cross, that he is speaking about ----shall the sun be darkened, Matthew 27:45 ---he is quoting Joel 2:31 and Revelation 6:12 a prophecy about Christ death on the cross ---and the moon (symbolising Christ) shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven ---- Revelation 12:4 ---and the powers of heaven shall be shaken ----all this description is a parable Matthew 13:34. Christ's words are most often HIDDEN in parables and symbols.

Matthew 24:30 Then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven ---this is still symbolic and a parable ---heaven is symbolic of man, where GOD DWELLS, Colossians 2:27 ...Christ in you .... John 3:13 ... he which is in heaven ....

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will DO NOTHING, but he revealeth his secret to his servant the prophets.

Your raptured: one at a time

Isaiah 27:12 ....and ye shall be gathered ONE by ONE ....two in the field, one taken one left ....

God bless you, as you study and Christ reveals himself to you.

No, I do not find these passage helpful in my question, as to how in the Old testament Genesis 6 it spoke of angels having sex with human daughters and producing the nephilim quoting new Testament passage , but not answering the question as stated, being as angels no sex organs.

    Hi Kalebu,

I will give my understanding, and others may differ. The tabernacle is the place to host the presence of God on earth. In Exodus 25 God gives the pattern to Moses to build the tabernacle (the tent of meeting), a sacred place to communicate with God. Later Solomon built the first temple which is also a tabernacle in the old sacrificial system.

The people would bring an animal and lay their hand on its head and pass their sin onto the sacrifice. The high priest had to go in once a year with the blood of a bull for an offering for himself and the people, but it did not take away the sins, (the conscience). This was a foreshadowing of the Messiah, Jesus the high priest to come, Heb. 9 and Heb. 10.

When Jesus the Messiah came and was baptized by John the Holy Spirit filled Jesus without measure, John 3:34. The sacred space, the communication and fellowship with God, the tabernacle the true light coming into the world, John 1:14, God was manifest in the flesh 1 Tim.3:16, who communicated directly with men.

As Jesus told the woman at the well John 4:21-24 if we accept Jesus as the Messiah who has come in the flesh, He died for our sins and was raised from the dead, and only through Him do we have access to God and only in Him the name of Jesus is salvation and when we are baptized and sealed with the Holy Spirit we become a tabernacle a place to host the presence of God through the Holy Spirit by our high priest and mediator Jesus.

This is my understanding please study for your own.

    God bless,

    RLW

Jim Bob, I agree. Jesus said it plainly here. But I find no Scripture that plainly speaks of a "secret rapture" pre-tribulation.
  • Rick Colombe - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 2 years ago
The KJV was translated from the received text the Textus Receptus ( my spelling may be off ), while the more modern versions used the Alexandrian scrolls, which were proven incorrect and NOT inspired by the Holy Ghost. God can touch someone's heart reading a newspaper, even so, the Authorized King James Version is the closest and most accurate translation in English we have of God's Word.

I would be cautious if reading other modern translations ie. such as " The Max Lucado" study bible, as they are NOT His Word. Let God be true and be every man a liar.

Jer. Ch.23 is written to pastors and prophets, in verse 36 it says And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every mans word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God. The word perverted is #2015 in Hebrew, it means to turn about or over, ((to change)), overturn, pervert.

I just want to thank God for the Word - I find so many verses comforting. Although my understanding is sloight, my faith is strong and these words comfort me through the rough parts of life. By reading I feel God with me when I'm alone.

What about Mt.24:29-31? Immediately after the tribulation the Son of man comes in the clouds to gather together his elect! I agree completely Jesus is coming back but Mt.24:29 tells us its not before the tribulation, but AFTER it!

Hi Caleb ...Good Question...The Cross at Calvary was to Atone for the sins of the world...But there is a 2 nd facet to the Cross which is Multiplication of Christ seed which is hid from the wise and prudent but revealed unto babes the H.G which is the multiplication of Christ via his good seed .....Smite the shepherd and the sheep will be scattered then i will turn my hand to the little ones...Zech...13:7...Impling multiplication that great Promise...I will multiply thy seed as the stars of Heaven...By the disobedience of 1 man sin was passed on to all the world no exceptions...Automatically to every PERSON ever born in their seed,.. thus there was none righteous no not one, And God wanted everybody righteous...Thus the blood of the lamb WILL BE passed on to everybody AFTER THE BOOK IS OPENED...In Adam we all die but in Christ we will all live...Plz note they don't sing that New song till after the book is opened.

Had he not died there wd have been only 1 Christ...But b/c of his death he will be multiplied as the stars of heaven...Thats y he said unless a seed dies it will abide alone but if it dies it will bring forth much fruit...Impling many Christ,..Thats y he is saying Whosoever received one such Child in my name receiveth me...A baby Christ the H.G. That Child of Promise....That New Creature....nothin availeth any thing in Christ Jesus but a New Creature...Not Circumcision nor uncircumcision but a Baby Christ the H.G. is that New Creature....And if any man be in Christ Jesus he is a New Creature..Its very important that we understand this 2 nd facet of multiplication of the Cross...God Almighty swore by his very self when he made this Promise of multiplication of Christ seed the words of the book..That N.C.

1st facet of the cross was...Behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world

2 nd facet is Multiplication.... Gen 22:17....I will multiply thy seed as the stars of Heaven....Thus the sower and his seed the babes and sucklings Spirits.

To add to discussion, if you type a word like "Father" in search on this site, then (Modify) search, tap (Jesus words)

Then tap on each individual scripture: the translated words are broken down by words & English phrases, John 20:17, scroll down, bottom of page, you can hover over words for easy translation or click on each block for deeper translation study, this will take you to the Concordance comparisons & there you can find much more information.

    These translations are from Greek,

Hello LukeCage151. Thanks for your enquiry. I'm sorry that I cannot link my source, as my information was gleaned primarily from my Bible. I can say this though, that it is one of the old versions of the KJV Ryrie Study Bible (bought in 1982), but even a newer edition that I have (since the old one is falling apart) also has this information, but presented differently.

A little about Charles Caldwell Ryrie: (March 2, 1925 - February 16, 2016). He was an American Bible scholar and Christian theologian. He served as professor of systematic theology and dean of doctoral studies at Dallas Theological Seminary and as president and professor at what is now Cairn University. After his retirement from Dallas Theological Seminary he also taught courses for Tyndale Theological Seminary. He is considered one of the most influential American theologians of the 20th century. He was the editor of The Ryrie Study Bible by Moody Publishers, containing more than 10,000 of his explanatory notes. First published in 1978, it has sold more than 2 million copies. He was a notable proponent of classic premillennial dispensationalism (this info taken from the Web).

So, coupled with his detailed charts attached at the end of the Bible, his explanatory notes within the Bible itself & my own double-checking between the Scriptures on specific kings, I have shared that information to this thread's enquirer. I realize that any non-biblical information given can be disputed, since it may not be clearly revealed within the Word, but as mentioned, I've found this man Ryrie, to be very knowledgeable & fundamental in his treatment of the Scriptures & in his presentation of any helps like the one I've shared.

Exodus 34:1, Exodus 34:27,28, in Exodus 34:1 the English words "and I will write" is simply 1 Hebrew word "kathab" meaning engrave same word used for "write" in Exodus 34:27, & "he wrote" in Exodus 34:28,

Appears Moses did, by direction of GOD,

    Hopefully this is helpful
  • Littlesooz - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 2 years ago
You are correct, God created the earth only once. According to verse two it became "without form and void". It was that chaotic mass that was used by God (same earth, messed up) when he renewed it. Verse one tells us that God created the heavens and the earth. It does not tell us anywhere when that was, we have no date for that. There will be another recreating of the earth for the millennial kingdom when the beasts of the earth become benign so it is not a stretch to believe that God did it once already.

    Blessings :)
