    Part 2a

The Islamic Threat To Israel (Part 1)

    By Dave Hunt.

    The God of Ishmael?

The God of the Bible is called "the God of Israel" 203 times. Never is He called the God of any other people--and certainly never is He called the God of Ishmael or of the Arabs. He further declares, "I AM the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations" ( Ex 3:13-16). Twelve times this name is given to God. Christ argued the resurrection of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (and thus of all believers) from this title, declaring that "God is not the God of the dead but of the living" ( Mt 22:31-32).

The entire land of Canaan (which became Israel) was promised to Abraham and to his seed for ever ( Gen 12:7; 13:15, 17:19; Ex 6:8; Lev 25:23). Who can claim to be this "seed"? Islam teaches that it was Ishmael, not Isaac, who was the "son of promise" and was offered by Abraham upon the altar. Ishmael was the firstborn, and thus the Arabs, who claim descent from him, are adamant that they--not the Jews--are the rightful heirs to God's promise of the land of Canaan. Of course, Ishmael was not the son God promised, but the product of Abraham's and Sarah's unbelief. Instead of being born to Sarah, Abraham's wife, his mother was Hagar, Sarah's maid.

The Bible makes it very clear in many ways that the promised son was Isaac and that he and his descendants were the rightful heirs to God's promises to Abraham. Apparently content with Ishmael whom he loved, Abraham desired no other son ( Gen 17:15-18). But God insisted that He would give Abraham a son through his wife, Sarah, that his name would be Isaac, and that he would be the heir to the promises and to the land (17:19-21). Furthermore, the true heirs to the promises would be slaves in a foreign land for 400 years ( Gen 15:13).

    Part 1.

The Islamic Threat To Israel (Part 1)

    By Dave Hunt

That vicious anti-Semitism would pursue the Jews worldwide throughout history is one of many prophecies about Israel ( Dt 28:37; Neh 1:8; 2 Ch 7:20; Jer 24:9; 25:11; 29:18-19; 44:8; Amos 9:9, etc.) that God points to as proof that He is the one true God, that the Bible is His Word, and that the Jews are His chosen people (Is 42:8-9; 43:10; 46:9-10; 48:5, etc.). From a human point of view, there is no rational ground for such persistent, widespread anti-Semitism; yet this prophecy has come true with a vengeance. The only explanation is found in the Bible: the Jews are God's chosen people and under His judgment for their rebellion against Him ( Dt 28:15-68; 29:24-28; 30:17-20, etc.).

There is a further obvious reason for this universal anti-Semitism: hatred of Jews and Israel is inspired of Satan because his only hope to escape eternal doom is to destroy them. This he must do to save himself from God's wrath. Had Satan been able to destroy the Jews before Christ came, he would have prevented the birth of the Messiah, the salvation of mankind, and his own defeat through the sacrifice of the Son of God for mankind's sins. Moreover, for promising a Messiah and a salvation that never came, God would have been proved a liar and thus could not righteously have punished Satan.

Of course, the Messiah came and defeated Satan, "tasting death for every man" ( Heb 2:9) and bearing "our sins in his own body on the tree" (1 Pt 2:24). Countless multitudes have been redeemed and will spend eternity in the Father's house of "many mansions" because of having received the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. But Christ's defeat of Satan through His death and resurrection did not end the battle between God and Satan for the hearts, minds, and eternal destiny of mankind. That battle continues to rage--and Israel is at its center.

Part One: The love of God. Creation and salvation

Psalm 51:10 states "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." Christ states that man must be born of water and the Spirit ( John 3:5) which refers either to physical birth first then spiritual; or the baptism associated with God granting repentance and someone being "born again."

The Lord created man in the image of God; both male and female according to Genesis 1:27. Man was given all he needed to live a blissful existence as long as he remained in communion with God; he was given authority over all creation and asked to tend the garden. God's love; however already looked to the needed redemption of man foreseeing his fall; and thus Christ's sacrifice was planned before time began to bring this plan to effect and destroy Satan's temporary usurping of rulership on earth ( Gen. 3:15).

Therefore; Jesus became as the second Adam. (see 1 Cor. 15:47-49 for further details). To put to death the old man expresses the ultimate love; for it is the natural state of the unredeemed soul that can never escape itself in eternal hell. The world and its lusts are temporary; but He has put eternity in the hearts of man. ( Ecclesiastes 3:11). He has promised that He will never leave nor forsake us ( Deut. 31:6; Heb. 13:5). He acts as high priest ever interceding for us ( Rom. 8:34; Heb. 14:15-16; etal).

Along with eternal salvation; God accomplishes His will in our lives; and shows His love by chastising all those He loves. ( Heb. 12:6-7 and other verses). The Lord will lose none of His sheep or His elect as they will hear His voice ( John 10:1-4). Thus the work has been done on our behalf; we can do nothing to add to it or merit any favor. Thus our response should be to love Him accordingly and not to focus on what He can do for us in this life; but to seek that His will is done on earth as in heaven.

The process of sanctification and glorification will be reviewed in future posts.

JESUS warned: When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand), the time of the LITERAL fulfillment of this prophetic message of the Word of GOD arrived, the Word is GOD, self-executing. What really matters and import is the Word of GOD. He said : Daniel 12:

1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

    Hello Astrawind,

I don't know much about whether such numbers are from God or evil sources. I can only say to you, stick with the Scriptures and don't rely on such phenomena and experience. Pursue the truth of God's Word. People throughout history have lived their life for Jesus valiantly without "angel numbers" or any thing else except the Scriptures.

    Dear Jema,

I, and most likely, many of us, are watching Putin, Iran, etc. so we did not dismiss what you said. I, speaking only for myself, am in a "wait and see how this pans out" mode because I believe the Lord is in control and will guide this conflict to the end He wishes. There have been many conflicts like this for Israel ever since it became a nation in 1948. They have had to "fight for their life and right to exist many times so far. AND I am praying for all involved. America did the same thing over 250 years ago.

Jema, I think that there are Christians all over the world watching and praying what is happening to Israel today. It is a BIG thing. So don't think that you are alone in your concern. Have a blessed day.

I just found out yesterday that I am officially a grandparent as my son and daughter in law went to the doctor yesterday and came home with an ultrasound of their 10 week old baby in utero. The doctor wanted to check on the baby since she had such a rough time with covid this last month. Baby is o.k.! They were waiting for this appointment to give the news since she had symptoms of possibly miscarrying this last month. I kind of thought she might be pregnant from being nauseated since even before she got covid. We are very happy. This is our first grandbaby. So prayers are welcome for Vivian and baby.

I'm not sure if anyone else has asked this before, but during the pandemic in 2021, I started noticing something strange. I would see certain number combinations over and over again, like 1111, 1212, and 777. This happened a lot after I lost my job and started focusing more on my faith. Now, I see these "angel numbers" every single day, sometimes in the morning and sometimes at night. The weirdest part is that I see 1212 right after I pray. I've never been very spiritual before, so this can't just be a coincidence...My question is - are angel numbers real? Why do I keep seeing them all the time? It's like they're trying to tell me something...but I don't know what.

This is quite possible. Ze.14 tells of an uplifting event. "But it shall be one day which shall be known to theLord."(v.7)

"All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place,/....And men shall dwell in it,"(vv.10-11) Let me quote a passage I posted elsewhere.""All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem" and it is no longer of literal Jerusalem but shall be lifted up in-midair. New Jerusalem it is called. "I will lift up mine eyes from whence cometh my help" (Ps.12:1). Here we have the Spirit using the place name associated with Israel in the context of eternity. A cataclysmic quake to throw the old city into stones of confusion seems in the offing."

Thanks everyone for their prayers, I am now in Moosonee, ON. They booked me a bus ride up, surgeon said using a plane would undue his work. But I am thankful for your prayers, as I kept you all in prayer too.

I am just a short lil boat ride, taxi from the down the bank in Moose Factory to go then home. (25 mins)

Everything went well and was told my lung after this surgery will be in even better shape now.

Medevac'd from Moose Factory to Moosonee. Then Moosonee to Sudbury. There was no extra beds @ original Hospital in Kingston ON they wanted to send me to, but DR said it was a good thing I ended up in Sudbury as they said they got one of the best lung wards in the Country.

GOD BLESS and keep praying for me for wisdom, healing and I will keep you in mine. As we all keep each other in Prayers.

    Dear Ronald,

I am with you on this interpretation. And I don't think that we are truly in the minority in the whole history of Christianity. But in todays American Evangelical churches, especially those that arose in America, the belief in the dispensational pretribulation rapture is more the norm. But there are a vast number of people who believe as we do, that there is not going to be a pretribulation rapture. Thanks for your explanation here. i know many on this particular site do take the viewpoint of the pre-trib rapture.

I had cautiously entered into some discussions on this in the past where you and many others posted their views and Scriptural interpretations as I did. That was a good discussion. But I do not wish to engage in this topic again on this thread. I just want to give you support for posting a view that is unpopular among many who post regularly on here. Blessing to you and to those who don't think like us. We are all one in Christ.

Richard, look forward to reading your next posts.

One of my favorite verses (I would call it my "life verse") is 1 John 4:10

"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son as a propitiation for our sins."

In fact, this whole section in 1 John 4:7-21is very near and dear to my heart.

    Brothers in Christ

    Greetings in Christ JESUS

    just to remember :

NATION shall rise against NATION ... Will be G7, and G-20, and UN, among other World Entites, DISSOLVED?

    Get ready, yes, get ready

Our GOD is in control of History, nothing random happens.

Remember: Our GOD rests of His works in this seventh and last Day, or seventh and last millennium after Adam. By the way, GOD sent JESUS - the Word made flesh( John 1:14), He is the true God, and eternal life, and we know that the Son of GOD came (IN THE FOURTH DAY- John 5:17, take a look, or around 4000 years after Adam, even around 2000 years ago), and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is True, and we are in Him that is True, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and Eternal life- 1John 5:19-20.

Our Lord JESUS said: All Power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Our Lord JESUS will exert all His Power from this beginning of this seventh and final millennium to destroy the works of the Devil, to destroy the Devil's WORLD with its all kind of structures: religious, and economic, social, military, among other systems of the satanic organizations and systems.By the way, The kingdoms OF THIS WORLD are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ;and He shall reign for ever and ever- Revelation 11:15-18.Take a look.

By the way, one of the 7 heads of the MAN Beast of sea- Revelation 13:1-10- will be wounded to death; but his deadly wound will be healed (but how? well, the dragon( Revelation 13:11, will give to the MAN Beast of sea his Power, and his Seat (in Jerusalem), and great Authority- Revelation 13:2), and all the world ( Luke 21:24 combined with Revelation 11:2) will wonder after the MAN Beast of sea.

    Be careful and get ready

Well, Celebration of the Lamb's marriage? ONLY AFTER THE JUDGMENT OF BABYLON. (see the site of purebibleforum)

Revelation 18:4- Come out of her,my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

    God Bless YOU!
  • S Spencer - In Reply - 1 year ago
    Hi Giannis.

I agree also that these are separate events.

In Revelation 19:9 we see the marriage supper of the Lamb.

In verse 11-16 We the second coming where Christ comes to make war.

If this was the rapture of the saints, who is it that was present at the marriage supper of the Lamb in verse 9 if we hadn't been raptured yet?

In other words, he would have to come get us before we can attend the wedding!

    Thanks and God bless you.
  • Ronald Whittemore - In Reply - 1 year ago
    Hi Giannis,

I know I may be in the minority of this but, they do not match if we say Jesus comes for the Church and takes those resurrected and those who are still living who will be changed back up to heaven. Many say the church is the bride and when the Church is raptured to heaven the marriage supper will then be in heaven. In 1 Thess. 4:13-18 Paul was comforting them because they thought the ones who believed in Jesus that had already died would miss Jesus's second coming and would not be resurrected.

Those who are resurrected and those living who will be changed will meet Jesus in the air on His way down to earth, nowhere does it say we are taken or go to heaven. This is the first resurrection in Rev. 19:11-16 and Rev. 20:5-6. There are only two resurrections if Thess. 13-18 is a rapture of the Church to heaven there would be three resurrections, but Scripture says there are only two.

Scripture says only those who are chosen and faithful, those who are worthy to reign with Jesus for a thousand years will be in the first resurrection, Rev. 5:10 Rev. 17:14 Rev. 20:6 the first resurrection is just before the battle of Armageddon Rev. 19:17-21 Rev. 20:1-6.

After a thousand years, the rest of the dead will be resurrected, the second and last, Rev. 20:7-15. Some say the white throne judgment is only for the lost but if we read vs 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Some are found in the Book of Life also these lines up with Dan. 12:2 and Matt. 25:31-46, the white throne (then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory).

The bride is another discussion; Who is the bride? Who are those "Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb"?

    God bless,

    RLW

    The love of God.

    Outline:

    1) Creation: Plans and eternity in their hearts.

    2) Salvation: Substitutionary atonement predestined from before the foundation of the earth for His elect.

    3) Sanctification: Making us into a fit vessel to enter heaven

    4) Glorification: Complete salvation of the body after the soul and spirit

God places people in our lives which intersect at the time and place of His choosing. We are adopted into His family; and hence are part of the army of God who rules and reigns with Christ and is given access to His throne in heaven. This is accomplished by giving us a new heart which is able to love the unlovable; and in turn to hate all the things of the world; flesh and the Devil which were controlling us previously. It puts to death the old man; in reverse order first restoring life to the dead soul and spirit of man then eventually the body at the Rapture and/or Resurrection from the dead. His love endures even when heaven and earth pass away; but only His people can live in the new heaven.

Because we are created in His image and spiritually one with Him; the punishment of the wicked is for our benefit as much as anything else. It gives us the mind of Christ; to love Him and obey His commandments and also to abhor evil and any other false gospel. As His ambassadors we are sent forth to proclaim His salvation from hell in all our actions; and accompany it with service to others whether it be our employers or a beggar on the street. Worship is a praiseworthy event for us; which is compelled forth by His love and communion with Him. We are privileged therefore as a child to follow His voice and His sheep hear Him.

I will see about going through this outline in greater detail in my next few posts.

    PBC79,

This is the first time I've heard anyone say that. I am not sure how this pastor came to that conclusion but these messages were to seven separate churches in Asia.

The Lord is giving messages specifically for these seven. But they are not the only churches in these areas.

It is kind of interesting that if you do a little digging, you will find that each one of these cities is the head of the postal district in that area. So these are the main cities within their districts.

And there are other churches around, but the Lord picked out seven. And each church has its own problems, and each church has its own good points.

But everybody's church today has some of these things in it. In fact, if you put them all together, you would have the complete seven messages to the church before Christ comes back.

    PBC79:

There is only ONE church, Christ.

Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb, are the temple thereof.

2 Corinthians 6:16 ... ye are the temple of God .....

Matthew 19:6 Wherefore THEY (you and Christ) are no more TWAIN, but ONE flesh....

This happen at Christ's resurrection, you were made a JOINT HEIR, you and Christ arose as ONE flesh, the new creation, the TRUE church.

    Hello Giannis,

That is my understanding also. I believe that 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4 is speaking of the rapture, whereas Revelation Chapter 19 is speaking about the 2nd coming of Christ.

I see this as two separate events (Rapture & 2nd coming). My belief is that we will be at the marriage supper of the lamb during the tribulation, and after the 7-year tribulation is complete, then the Lord will return (2nd coming), and we come back with him.

Revelation 19:14 tells us that the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses (that would be us), clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Clothed in fine linen, white and clean. We see this mentioned in Revelation 19:8 which says, "And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white:"

The word white is the word bright. Clean and white: for fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

So we, as His bride, we will be clothed in white, fine linen. And notice that this is all taking place in heaven. We are there. The tribulation is still taking place on earth while we are at the marriage supper with Christ prior to His 2nd coming.

Something else I notice is that at the rapture, Christ does not come all the way to the earth. We meet Him in the air. But at His 2nd coming, He will physically touch down onto the Mount of Olives.

    Blessings to you!

Yesterday as I was reading the Bible I noticed something. I was reading in 1 Thess 4:13-18 the rapture of the church. In a few words it says that the Lord will descend from Heaven, then the dead at that time will rise and those alive will be transformed and we altogether will be caught up to the air. Then I went to Rev 19:6-16 and read the events just before the second coming of Jesus. I noticed that according to the description in Rev the saints up there were resurrected before the second coming of Jesus, the scripture says "for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.8And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints". This is before Jesus descends from Heaven. So the rapture (if this is the rapture as some brothers believe) takes pace definitely before the second coming of Jesus onto earth.

Why do I think that those two incidents don't match together if they refer to the same event, the rapture? Anybody wants to answer?
