If your answer is anything other than, "Yes I'm absolutely certain that my sins are forgiven and that Heaven will be my home," then this important message is just for you. The Bible teaches that you need to know and believe these things to settle this matter of your eternal destination:
You must accept that you are a sinner.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" ( Romans 3:23). No one is exempt from this indictment. Everyone has sinned. Romans 5:12 says, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." No one is perfect and no one can live up to God's perfect standard. We are sinners by nature.
You must accept that as a sinner you owe a penalty.
"For the wages of sin is death" ( Romans 6:23a). Because of our sin we owe a debt. This debt is a spiritual death or separation from God in the lake of fire known as Hell. Hell is not a figment of someone's imagination or only a figurative term. Hell is very real. It is a literal burning place. It's not a place where you go because your friends will be there and you want to have a good time. It is a dark, lonely, seething, burning place, and it never ends. It continues to burn for all time.
The worst part is, there is nothing you or I can do on our own to avoid it. Outside of Jesus, it is our final destination. If you are depending on your church membership to get you to Heaven, beware; it's not enough. If you pray a lot hoping to get to Heaven, don't depend on that; it's not enough either. Even if you give a lot of money to a church, it's not enough to gain Heaven. The word "believe" means to trust, to depend on, to rely on. To believe on the Lord Jesus Christ means that you accept the fact that you are a sinner, that as a sinner you owe the sin penalty, and that Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried, and arose again on the third day to pay the debt you owe.

The word of God is the sword of the Spirit. We're told in Hebrews 4:12 that this sword is alive, active, and sharper than any sword you can imagine. This sword divides soul and spirit and it can judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. That's our Bible.
The sword of the Lord in the Bible is a symbolic representation of God's Word and the final battle against evil
The sword is a symbol of power, protection, authority, strength, and courage. The idea of the sword of the Spirit is that the Bible is a weapon to defend against evil and to demolish strongholds of error and falsehood.
Revelation 19:15
Describes the returning King of kings and Lord of lords using the sword of the Lord to "strike down the nations"
Acts 4:12
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
As we look at what is going on in the world and in the churches and congregations today, what do we see?
We see a world where sin, i.e. disobedience to God's law, is and has been multiplying as never before.
We see churches and congregations exhibiting a love for the world as the worship service has become a place for entertainment. And an abandonment of the Bible, the Word of God, as being the ultimate authority; where the church itself is the authority and not the Bible. We see a gospel being proclaimed where man is in control of their salvation and not God alonea do-it-yourself gospel where Christ has done His part and now it's up to us.
So where are we in God's time table of His plan for the churches and the world?
We are, I believe, living in the period describe in Matthew 24 and Mark 13, the Great Tribulation. A period where God's judgment has fallen upon the churches as we read in 1 Peter 4:17 and 2Thessalonians 2:1-12. And where God is preparing the world for His return on the clouds of glory at the Last Day.
It is also a time where God is reveling truth from His Word, the Bible, that has been hidden in times past as we read in Daniel 9 and Daniel 12.
Daniel 12:9 9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
But God, in this time, is saving a "great multitude" as we read in Revelation 7:9. Ezekiel 36:24-38, Jeremiah 29, Jeremiah 30 and many other passages which are pictures of God's salvation during this time.
If there were ever a time where we should be searching the scriptures and praying that God in His mercy might lead us into truth, this is that time.
But we must search the scriptures using the principles that God lays down in His Word. A key principle is that Christ is the author of the entire Bible and that He "spoke in parables, and without a parable spake He not" Matthew 13:34 and Mark 4:34.
May God in His mercy open our spiritual ears as we search the scriptures.
Dear Psf1. I was so sad to read of this situation in your home & have prayed/will continue to pray for this matter & specifically for the Lord's blessed work in your husband's heart & life. I can hardly imagine the toll this must take on you, when you are trying your best to show him love & care & in return shows disregard. The fact that he is not a Christian would be a major factor in his behavior, although one cannot rule out other things that are on his heart & mind (whether concerning work, finances, friendships, health, etc.). Would he even consider sitting down with you to share his heart & concerns, or even have a meeting with a counselor (a Christian one preferably), so a third party can listen & advise you both impartially? Has his behavior changed suddenly or over a period of time? These are all questions you must have labored over.
In any case, clearly you still have much love & devotion towards him in spite of his attitude, & you should continue to do so, even expressing it to him verbally so that he knows how you feel & what you are going through (mentally & emotionally) in all this. Your continued loving presence in his life is so important, even as the Scripture reminds us that, 'if the unbelieving husband is pleased to continue in the marriage & live with his wife, the husband is sanctified by the wife'. ( 1 Corinthians 7:13,14). And this means that your loving godly presence & influence in the home is the best testimony your husband could receive of God's Love, God's Work in your life, and what God can do in him to help & heal him. May the Spirit of God work wonderfully & mightily in both of you, that together you both may enjoy God's Perfect Will in your lives & a truly loving marriage. The Lord very specially be with you in this matter.
I humbly ask y'all to pray for repentance, so America can enter into revival! Pray for guidance for Donald Trump and God gives him protection from demonic spirits and evil humans. Pray for America's return to being a God fearing nation with men of Christ! My saviors grave is empty, my savior Jesus Christ is the worthy lamb. All praise and glory to the Father, Son & Holy Ghost.
Pray for the unsaved, sick, poor, those who are addicts of drugs, liquor, tobacco, pornography, food. Pray for those who pastor in America's churches, those who do mission work. Pray for each other, may God bless each and every soul on the plant.
God's children are special let's pray for their salvation and safety.
I believe that the aspiration to improve oneself is crucial. It is important to maintain a positive outlook and to consider what actions would be in line with one's values, such as contemplating what Jesus would do in a given situation. It is also important to remember that everyone is fallible and capable of making mistakes.
i would like to request pray for my husband. he is not a belivnor er and we are like two strangers in the house. he is not talking to me nor is he eating the meals that i prepare.
Acts 14:23 - And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
The word "commended" is actually a banking term. It means to make a deposit in the bank. And the term "believed" is a Perfect Tense, speaking of the Lord upon whom they have believed.
So, they have been believers for quite some time. And what they were doing was they were saying we appointed elders. Now you are ready to have leaders in your church. You been walking with the Lord for a while now.
And they deposited, (those who had believed in the Lord, those who had trusted in the Lord), they deposited to the Lord and basically said "We're leaving, and we are committing you to Him.
Acts 15:1 - And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
Verse 1 tells us that certain men came down from Judaea. That little phrase "from Judaea" tells us that these people came into town and presented themselves as officials, representatives of Jerusalem. Jerusalem is in Judaea. They were Jewish. They were legalists. And they come into town up in Antioch.
And secondly, they taught. But in the Greek text, it is an Imperfect Tense which means they were continuously teaching. This was a "campaign." It was a campaign where Judaizers came into Antioch, and they were continuously teaching one message.
And they were teaching the brethren, and they said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. That's what they were spreading. "You can believe in Jesus as Messiah all you want to, but if you're not circumcised"
And there's even some that went as far to say to keep the law, and you have to become a Jew. You have to become a Jew in order to be saved. You cannot be saved unless you're circumcised. That's what they were saying.
Acts 14:12 - And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius. Except in the Greek text, it is literally "They called Barnabas ZEUS, and they called Paul HERMES."
In Greek mythology, Zeus is the supreme deity. He is the god over all the gods in Greek mythology. He's the head!
Hermes is the god of speech, or messenger. And Hermes would be the messenger for Zeus. Hermes would do all the talking. And Zeus was the supreme deity. In Greek mythology it says that at one point in history that both Zeus and Hermes visited the Greek people in human form.
And so, since Barnabas is the quiet one, and probably the bigger one because the word Paul means small, but when they saw Barnabas standing there and not saying anything, and Paul doing all the talking and miracles, they said "Zeus and Hermes have come back!"
And they called Paul Hermes because he was the chief speaker. Of course!
Acts 14:14 - Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
They didn't go down and rent clothes. The term is an expression of anguish. They began to tear their clothes as an outward sign. That would get somebody's attention in church, wouldn't it? You know, if the pastor started ripping his clothes because he was so angry!
So, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
Acts 14:22 - Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
The word tribulation is the word THLIPSIS which means stress. As you serve the Lord, and follow Him, and represent Him, and even maybe preach the gospel, people are going to pursue you. They are going to cause affliction or stress.
Acts 14:2 - But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.
But the unbelieving Jews. A very fascinating statement. The word unbelieving in our text, the "ing" on the end tells us that it is a Present Participle. But the word belief is the word persuasion.
The un-persuaded Jews, or to put it literally, the Jews who were continually unwilling to be persuaded, they stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.
Acts 14:3 - Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
I want to share this with you because it becomes a very important element in our day. In the early church, God gave them the power to do signs and wonders. It was a sign to them!
In the book of Hebrews, it says "How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by them that heard him, God also bearing them witness both with signs and wonders, and with divers (or various) miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost according to His own will."
God bearing witness! We are also told by Paul in his presentation in 2 Corinthians 12:12, he says "Truly the signs of an apostle were worked among you in all patience in signs and wonders and mighty deeds."
God had told them that signs and wonders would accompany them in order to establish for those that were listening that what they are hearing is the word of God. Once God's word has been established, and that's all it was for, no more signs and wonders, at least in this way!
Acts 14:9 - The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
Isn't that amazing? They looked at this man and perceived that God had given him faith to be healed. And the word healed is the word SODZO for salvation!

Your continued loving presence in his life is very important.
Patience and longsuffering is the key.
