please remember me and my family in your prayers, please pray that the Lord will touch the hearts of the unsaved and they accept Jesus as their Lord and savior.
It is going on midnight here but I wanted to take a break from my personal studies to check this forum and respond to you. I do hope that you can add posts to this study on Who God Is. I hope others will also add what they are led to contribute. God is the best subject to study, I believe. To study how He has revealed Himself to be is worthwhile. it grounds us in the truth of Who He is so that we worship Him more truly.
AS for my daughter in law. She had IV fluids at Urgent care and at ER, but has not been hospitalized. She came home each time. She is not keeping any fluids/foods down and is just not bouncing back from this covid infection. My son got it after she did and he is ready to return to work on Monday So, she has had a rough week and then some days. Thanks for your prayers for her.
As to criticism, sometimes I will respond with a post and other times I do not. People are free to criticize what any of us post on here. But we are not always led to post a reply. I wish each person well, though, always.
I'm hoping to return to my study in Deuteronomy and have been doing some research on it as a book. Hope to pick up on chapter 2 soon.
Not on this site, I have seen very long theological "dissertations" on why the "Law".. doesn't apply to them. Nevermind the God of all creation wrote them in stone and now are written in our hearts. Never mind Paul's differentiation of the ceremonial law and the moral law. Nope, not on this site, did you know there are only 9 commandments now?.. oh yes, that one that starts with "Remember".. yeah, that one, these highly educated theologins say it's the one we should "forget". Yep, must be right because some of these people are well learned.. I mean, why else would they write pages and pages of their massively infinite spiritual knowledge? Yep, sad but true.
I have a Zondervan NIV Study Bible that says in John 7:8, "You go to the Feast. I am not yet going up to this Feast, because for me the right time has not yet come". Also, there is a footnote that says, "some early manuscripts do not have yet".
I am glad that you are continuing this series on attributes of God. Obviously you have more knowledge of scriptures and better teacing abilities than I do; and I have been preoccupied with work and concerns at home lately. I never do well when I have to rehearse something or come up with a lecture to correspond with a set agenda; but I will attempt to add some thoughts in this alphabetical list Lord willing by this weekend...
As to your prayer request I will pray for your relative. I assume she is in a hospital; as UrgiCare to my knowledge wouldn't hook a person up to IV. I had 2 hospital stays getting over appendicitus and was on nutrition PIC line both times (IV fluids mainly with first stay). Obviously for different reasons; but it gives me an idea what it is like in that perdicament. (I could be wrong BTW I suppose a person could go home with such a device; it is always a challenge to get around especially to the bathroom hooked up to such machinery i called it the "IV dance".
Anyway; I think I get it with the criticism; we are eventually going to be sinless but we are being sanctified now while on earth. Glad you handle criticism well...
"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates(condemned, disapproved)?"
Paul suggests to believers to examine themselves. If we stand in the faith, if we are still walking on the narrow path of the faith. If we retain our faith and trust in God. If we find ourselves lacking then repentance and return is needed.
"9...most gladly therefore will I rather glory(boast) in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."
Boast in his infirmities? Take pleasure in his necessities and persecutions? Why? Because in that way the power of God was shown to/in him. Certainly Paul had reached a high spiritual level.
"17But he that glorieth(boast), let him glory in the Lord. 18For not he that commendeth(recommends) himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth."
"Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed SUBJECTION UNTO THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;"
Helping our brothers and sisterd is subjection to the Gospel. The theory is good but the time of the practical subjection to the Gospel is better.
Lord Jesus you know the cries of our hearts and the petitions we have made even here. I continue to ask. Please grant soon breakthrough. I ask for strong protection, deliverance, healing, salvation (those not saved), guidance and all the specific situations and circumstances previously mentioned. Please grant help to all in need on here and everywhere, esp. salvation. Please confront A about her behavior and please stop this relationship and also the New Age practices and comfort K and help her not to obsess about grades. Please also heal M and uncle K. and please help me with job and emotions and also the conflict with KM and S. Thank you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
Lord Jesus please help. Please touch Pnovello's daughter with your healing hands. Grant a miracle. Comfort Pnovello and the entire family. I pray that your job is going well for you.
I have never seen a modern version that says "yet". Try "Bible Hub" to see the differences in all Bibles.
I honestly don't think a "footnote" in a corrupt bible is going to be your best option for the Truth.
If God preserved His Inspired Words in the KJB, and He did.
That means all modern version bibles are corrupt, (they are not sound doctrine) as in ( 2 Tim 4:3-4)
I am just a little curious One eighty if you don't mind answering a couple of questions about your Niv bible,
1st. In your Niv bible (who killed Goliath) in ( 2 Samuel 21:19)?
2nd. Was the (scripture fulfilled) in ( Mark 15:28) in your Niv bible?
Thank you One eighty.
Blessings to you.
Sometimes a little humor is good.
Today I pulled up behind a car at a red light, and had a good laugh. Its bumper sticker read, "Do you follow JESUS this closely?"
Peace

"... Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you..."
Have we really understood that we don't belong ourselves any more? Have we really realized that Christ is in us and we belong to Him?
1 Cor 6:19-20,
"19. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
Amen

Have a nice day or night.
"... for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children."
"Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds."
The above is for all those who claim that miracles are not necessary. God recommends his ministers, not in words only.
"I am become a fool in glorying(boasting); ..."
What does the one who boasts become?
"9...most gladly therefore will I rather glory(boast) in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."

"4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations(the grk says "thoughts, considerations"), and every high thing that exalteth itself against the
knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"
"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, MAY ABOUND TO EVERY GOOD WORK"
"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."
Tiths? No, not.
"But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully."
Do we like to get a lot from God? Then we must be ready to give a lot (to our brothers and sisters).
