    Hello Amen,

Yes, it is always good to pray for our leaders, countrymen, and our nation. May truth and justice prevail. May our leaders be protected from harm from opponents, and may God bring revival to our nation that produces repentance, faith, and love for God and neighbors.

Asking for prayers for the traumatized political hostages that were just released after being illegally arrested and tortured for 4 years under the Biden administration. This is the same political cult that tries hard to normalize horrific sin that God despises like child abuse, murdering babies, euthenasia, pedophilia, violence through its antifa and blm divisions and human trafficking, resulting in losing 300,000 children. God does not stand for this sodom and gomorrah-like lawless behavior. They deny and lie and push propaganda that some actually believe is true. The lies from satan are circulating not because they are true, but its followers want to believe they are true. Someone even circulated a lie on this forum by falsely claiming that peaceful unarmed protestors "destroyed the Capitol." Truth tellers know the Capitol building was not destroyed. Pray that scales will fall off the eyes of the blind and that God's people will embrace the truth and stop lying. Pray for protection for the current administration that the cult won't keep scheming to harm him much like the self-righteous Pharisees in the days of Jesus. They claim to be offended by the truth, but lies are offensive to God.

Rapture 'seizing and carrying off' Just by this definition there is more then one rapture in the Bible.

Today is the day of salvation.

    1) Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

    2) 2 Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

    3) Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. (The 'rapture) (Start of Tribulation) ( rev 5:9-10 singing in Heaven before 1st seal is open, Made Chiefs Priests to reign with Christ)

    4) Revelation 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (out of, meaning they were in it. Raptured saved and repented saints from 4:1 to to the sixth seal, subjects and not like those in Rev 5:9)

Revelation 7:15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them." (servants in heaven day and night)

    5) Revelation 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them." (two witnesses raptured after BEING KILLED AND 3 DAYS LATER RESURRECTED BY GOD rev 13:7)

    6) Revelation 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. (144,000, the manchild raptured

    (Galatians Part 5):

Galatians 3:1 - O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

It says, O foolish Galatians, and the word foolish, normally in the New Testament comes from the word moron, MOROS in Greek. That word is not used here. This is the word senseless, or more specifically, without perception. They have lost their spiritual perception to the truth.

He says, who has bewitched you. The word bewitched is actually brought over from the Old Testament. In the Old Testament, it is known as the "evil eye," because if someone has the evil eye, they can hypnotize you. They can bring you under their spell. So, it's called the evil eye.

It had to do with hypnotizing someone, putting a mental spell on someone. Notice that I didn't say spiritual. This is a mental spell. A believer can be brought under a mental spell. And that mental spell comes from being persuaded.

Galatians 3:3 - Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Are ye so foolish? And again, this is the word senseless. Having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect, or complete, or mature by the flesh?

What a fantastic question that every believer and every church needs to wrestle with! If you began in the Spirit by faith, are you now made complete, or mature, by the works of the flesh? There isn't anything that I can do in the human. In fact, the more I do in the human when it comes to the things of Christ, the more I take away from His finished work. I can't add to it. I can only receive and believe!

Galatians 3:4 - Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.

He says, have ye suffered so many things in vain, or for nothing? He taught them that it is through suffering. In fact, he used the word THLIPSIS.

    (Galatians Part 4):

Galatians 2:8 - (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)

(For he that wrought effectually (that is, energized) in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same energized, and was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)

Galatians 2:13 - And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.

And not only that, but it says, and the other Jews dissembled. The word dissembled means hypocrisy. They committed hypocrisy with him. And the word for hypocrisy is the Greek word for an actor. Hypocrisy literally means to answer according to the script.

So other Jews played the role of the hypocrite with Peter. They were acting like something they really weren't. They did this likewise with him; insomuch that even Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation, again the word hypocrisy.

Galatians 2:17 - But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

God forbid, or as it reads in Greek, the strongest negation, may it never happen!

Galatians2:20 - I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Paul says, (I have been) crucified with Christ: That word "am," it's a Perfect Tense verb. There's a moment and time in the past when he received Christ. From that time on he has been crucified, all this time, with Christ.

    (Galatians Part 3):

Galatians 1:8 - But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

The word for accursed is the word ANATHEMA. And its basic meaning is to consecrate or dedicate a sacrifice for destruction. Very strong language!

Galatians 1:11 - But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

But I certify, or literally I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after, or according to man.

Galatians 1:13 - For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

He says for you have heard of my conversation, or lifestyle, in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure, and there are three Imperfect Tenses coming up, two here and one in Verse 14. Imperfect Tense means continuous action in the past. And I will read it that way.

That beyond measure, (I was persecuting) the church of God. And (I was destroying) it continuously.

    Thirdly, in Verse 14:

Galatians 1:14 - And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

And profited, or more literally, (was advancing). And those are the three Imperfect Tenses (continuous action in the past). And I was advancing in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

Galatians 1:16 - To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

That last little phrase, "conferred not with flesh and blood" is a Hebraism that means human. After his conversion on the road to Damascus, he did not look up people to find out what do I do next.

    (Galatians Part 2):

Galatians 1:6 - I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

He says I marvel, and the word marvel means surprised. And it's in the Present Tense, which means he says that I am continually surprised. He's in a state of shock! That you are so soon removed. If I may break this down, the word "so" is called the adverb of manner, or way in which something is done.

That you are in this way, soon, adverb of time. The word soon means quickly. And the word removed actually means to be off in the opposite direction in which you were going. So, I am surprised that you are in this way, that is these false teachings, and so quickly, after being established in the gospel, removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ.

He says you were called. God called you, and the grace of Christ called you. And now you're going in the opposite direction, and that you are removed unto another gospel:

There are two words for the word another in the Greek language. One means another of a different kind, and one means another of the same kind. This one is another of a different kind. You are so soon removed unto another, a different gospel. That's his concern for them!

Galatians 1:7 - Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

    He says, which is not another;

That's another of the same kind, different Greek word. So, you've been removed to a different gospel, which is really not another gospel. A false gospel is not another one. It's different. But there be some that trouble you, and the word trouble is in the Present Participle, and it means to agitate.

    Biblical Greek Perspectives:

(Galatians Part 1): Authored by the Apostle Paul and written to several churches in Asia Minor in the region of Galatia. The theme of Galatians is Salvation by Grace through faith alone. Whereas Romans is considered by many to be the Constitution of the Christian Faith, Galatians is considered to be the Declaration of Independence of the Christian Faith.

Galatians 1:3 - Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,

Paul prayed that grace would be with them and peace. In fact, the word "be" is in italics because there is no verb in the Greek text. But according to Greek structure, it is to be received as an "is." It is a fact. It's not a wish or a prayer.

Grace is to you, and peace, from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace, CHARIS, is a form of greeting for Greek and is the greeting for Gentiles. Then he says, and peace. And that's the greeting for the Jews, SHALOM.

Galatians 1:4 - Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

In speaking of Jesus Christ, it says, who gave himself for our sins. The purpose: that he might deliver us from this present evil world. The plan: according to the will of God and our Father:

It is God's will that all of those that respond to Christ, all of those who are born of the Spirit of God, will be delivered from this present evil world. The word "present" is a Perfect Participle. The world that stands in a condition of being evil. And God has delivered us, and it's all according to His will and plan.

Yes, in the mind, it is nicer & more convenient to have a set of rules to follow & gauge one's standing before God by it. But if we study further, we find that the ministry of the Holy Spirit takes us far far deeper into God's requirements for holy living than what the Decalogue or any of the Laws given to Israel could ever do. So why do we then insist on holding onto the old cloth & old wineskins?; they're only good for us to see what the old life was once like, I'm sure. These are the questions I had to deal with early on in my Christian experience without the aid of anyone or even the internet - just sitting with God's Word. If I'm in error, a proper exegesis of the Scriptures would help us all greatly & not just beliefs carried over from the past. Blessings to you brother.
  • Chris - In Reply - 1 month ago
    Page 1.

Thanks brother S. Spencer and for your further references. I certainly liked the Matthew 9:16,17 where our Lord essentially reminded John the Baptist's disciples that you can't mix the old with the new, or else the product desired would be lost & destroyed. As Jesus had now come, He came to bring in the new life (embedded in His Everlasting Covenant), that those who believe in Him for their salvation might be now clothed in His Righteousness (without any fragmentation or wear), and the Holy Spirit given to reign in redeemed hearts & lives. Calling upon the old garments & old wineskins now can only be detrimental & bring confusion to those wanting to live in the Spirit.

I also realize that much of biblical teaching, whether received in childhood or from the pulpit, can sometimes be superficial, thus more readily received. I am guilty of being one of those unfortunates. But after re-birth, my heart was set to really study the Scriptures for what they said in entirety with the Spirit's guidance & help, & not pander to what I was once fed. I found that most of those people were themselves not prepared or unable to go deeper into the Word, so they could only issue forth generalities: such as, we must obey the Ten Commandments as Christians, or other matters concerning the Triune Nature of God, or even His eternal Judgement. We must be prepared to look past the superficial or what is convenient & palatable, and look deeper, theologically/exegetically, into such important teachings. Onto Page 2.

Hello again Carmen. Thanks for getting back to us on this matter - I can now understand & appreciate what you were referring to. I think I remember that vile comment that you referred to, and I agree that some things are best left unwritten, as the thoughts expressed go completely against the core message of the Bible & the workings of the Holy Spirit in one's life and in the world. What took place at the Capitol on Jan 6 & the sometimes vile sentiments we express or hold in our hearts, will all one day come to light & be judged by the Holy & Righteous One. But this great website (KJBOnline) does give writers much liberty & scope to air their views & opinions, so readers can decide whether to respond, reject or otherwise avoid such comments. May the Spirit of Christ continue to teach & encourage you in His precious mighty Word. Thank you again for getting back to us. Blessings.

    Well stated Brother Chris

    Two covenants cannot run together!

This reminds me of Matthew 9:14-17.

John's disciples were Jews. They were still following the rules of Judaism and living under the obligations of the Old Covenant, with its ceremonial rituals and religious regulations, including fasting on certain days

    Leviticus 16:29-31

    Leviticus 23:32

    Luke 18:12.

Jesus came to usher in the New and fulfillment of the Law and do away with the ( rituals and Foreshadowing ) ministry that veiled their Hearts.

There also is a Change in Priesthood!

Hebrews 7:11. If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

    Blessings.

Thank you for the reply, however I was not referring to what I read in Revelation. I was quite engrossed in Revelation. There was nothing there that upset me. What made me so sad was the comment one of your reader left after reading Revelation 1.

He referred to the Jan 6 people that was jailed for destroying the capital and what he would like to see happened to the Democrats.

My point was Revelation was so deep and enlightening knowing Christ was returning to clean up this evil earth was a blessing. I just don't understand why he would write something so vile after reading that incredible chapter.

If I misunderstood what he was saying I apologized but that was my interpretation.

    Page 2. Woe.

The Laws that a converted Israel would receive, would no longer be as those formerly written on stone, but now 'in fleshy tables of the heart' ( 2 Corinthians 3:3). The Old has decayed and vanished away, only because of Jesus & His institution of the New Covenant. Let us not abide by things that are from the old economy, as even now, priests still wear religious garb & mitres, with their incense lamps as did the Jewish priests of old, rather to embrace what God's Spirit has for us in our hearts & lives, never leading us into condemnation.

As for your reference to Matthew 12:36-42, I'm not going to debate that, for I believe as you do, in what Jesus said about His death & resurrection relating it to Jonah's entombment in the 'whale'. The issue is first with the references I gave earlier, viz Mark 16:1,2,9, with John 20:1 complementing it. If the two Marys came "very early in the morning on the first day of the week", & "it was still dark", that tells me that they had arrived at the sepulchre to anoint Jesus' Body before dawn broke on the first day of the week (Sunday). Yes, the Jewish Sunday started after sundown Sabbath, but it still was Sunday when morning broke. You stated: "The earliest they (the Marys) could come to the tomb and administer the spices was as Saturday ended that very evening and Sunday began to dawn, which occurs at SUNDOWN. So Mary came at sundown Saturday." If Saturday (Sabbath) ended in the evening, the dawn of Sunday was still 10-12 hours away; if a day dawns, it is when the sun begins to rise - the day cannot dawn straight after the sun sets the previous day. This shows that the women came up to 12 hours after the Sabbath Day ended (i.e. the next day, Sunday). So I don't get your timeline here.

And just a final personal, maybe rhetorical, question: do you consider yourself to be wholly subject to the New Covenant in Christ's Blood, or do you believe it is necessary to embrace both the Old & the New to be right before God?
  • Chris - In Reply - 1 month ago
    Page 1. Woe.

If I could first address your last point here ( Matthew 5:18). Do you think that the previous verse (v 17, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil"), has some connection to verse 18? Clearly, Jesus is upholding the Law (i.e. what was given by God, & not those spurious laws the religious leaders imposed upon the people). He also states that the Law will abide forever. And He further states that His Coming to Earth was "to fulfil the Law (Gk. for fulfil is 'pleroo': to bring to completion). Yes, the Law was Perfect from both the Mouth & Finger of God, but Jesus came to finally cast aside what the Law was designed for & its intent, (and NOT its value & truth), which ultimately brought men under condemnation; Jesus came to fulfil the Law (& only He the sinless Son of God could), bringing it to finality & abolishment, thus ushering the New Covenant in His Blood. Two Covenants can never operate simultaneously, particularly where one led to hopelessness, helplessness and death; & the other availed to give life, hope & power in the Spirit.

Even Hebrews 8:13 reminds us of the finality of that Law: "In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away". And if we read earlier in Hebrews 8:10, "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people". (see also Jeremiah 31:31-33). Onto Page 2.

Hello Carmen. I assume you're referring to chapter 1 of The Revelation. I re-read this opening chapter & found nothing disturbing in it, certainly not "hate and domination". But maybe I've misunderstood you, so please forgive me. If you specify what verse(s) have created concern for you, then we could help you understand. This is a tremendous book, filled with the promises of Jesus Christ & ought to cause His children to live careful & holy lives, knowing the coming Wrath of God upon the Earth against all those who have hated & rejected Him. And this is why Jesus came: to be our Sacrifice so we wouldn't be condemned & sent into eternal pain & suffering. This Book ought to encourage those who are IN Christ, & also be a great warning to those who reject Him.
