    Micah 7:7

    King James Version

7Therefore I will look unto theLord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

    SALVA'TION, n.L. salvo, to save.

    1. The act of saving; preservation from destruction, danger or great calamity.

    2. Appropriately in theology, the redemption of man from the bondage of sin and liability to eternal death, and the conferring on him everlasting happiness. This is the great salvation.

Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation. 2Cor. 7.

    3. Deliverance from enemies; victory. Ex. 14.

    4. Remission of sins, or saving graces. Luke 19.

    5. The author of man's salvation. Ps. 27.

    6. A term of praise or benediction. Rev. 19.

I hear and see this scripture alot in my life and thank God to have the free gift of salvation not to boast in the Lord not to take for granted for the privilege for nothing to come against me to have what I'm saying or want and excel. So I have faith and believe in every current day that nothing will come against me and if so about it will be removed and erased.

This reminds me of the song You are God-Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis ft. Michelle Prather. Yeah I like to feel like God and I have God in me .God word has to happen in my life exceeding and abundantly.

John 9:31] Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

Christianity all around the world believe for the most part God loves them and they are saved by grace and yet they still sin. This is not what the bible says at all in John 9:31. The blind man was kicked out of church for preaching the truth. This is something that was known and not some new doctrine or directive issued by the church council or church meetings that God does not hear the prayer of sinners. The ex-blind man who went to church all his life never read the book of the law as brail was not invented yet for people to read. Yet, he heard something from behind the pulpit that stood out in his mind, unlike any other verse or scripture. I believe Isaiah 59:1-2 was reinforced into his mind over and over again in order for the ex-blind man to come up with the truth.

Isaiah 59:1] Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

[2] But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

The ex-blind man was excommunicated from his church for preaching the truth. You go down and preach what the ex-blind man in John 9 preached and you will be out in the street. Churches don't want to hear God does not hear the prayers of sinners. Churches want to indulge in their riot with their ungodly events and way of living for the devil up to their neck in sin and unrighteousness. To get churches to go back to the old ways of revival like Jeremiah 6:16 will never happen, as they have tasted too much of the world and the devil's delights and are not interested in engaging with the words of Jesus Christ which are spirit and life John 6:63. All sin is of the devil 1st John 3:8. Tge wages or payment is called hellfire and brimstone Romans 6:23. I am an ex-sinner saved by grace, an ex-sinner is a righteous person Romans 6:18.

Wages of sin are death; The body (flesh) is sinful it will die.

Now Spiritual : When The body dies.

If we reject Jesus as our savior there is no salvation. When we die in our sin and unrepentants, our soul is separated from him, and cast into Hell. This is the 2nd Death.

If we accept him , that he truly is the Son of God, he will come in to us and dwell with us by his Holy Spirit . Therefore as he died on the cross we died with him. (towards our flesh), becoming a new creation by the Holy Spirit.

Walk in the Spirit, talk in the Spirit and Pray in the Spirit.

Now with christ we have everlasting life. (Heaven)(Spiritual) To be with him for eternity in his presence.

When our sinful mortal flesh dies our soul returns to the Father to be rewarded. And you Will not be hurt of the 2nd death.

By rejecting him you have death (Death) (Hell) (Grave)

Your mortal sinful flesh dies and because you rejected him he will reject you. Therefore you will spend eternity separated from his presence and the love of God. Where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.(2nd death)

There is a mortal death and a spiritual death.

Fleshly is (mortal) We all have a human fleshly body.

Spiritually is (immortal) We all have a Soul ,Immortal.

Know this, all will face Judgment. as to weather we will be with our Lord and Savior Jesus or cast from him, we will spend eternity in one of these places.

    This is in Scripture.

No one can read scriptures and continue to think that there is no Heaven and no Hell.

Then for what cause would we need salvation and from what?

Jesus said everlasting life! (Infinite) I am the way the truth and the (life)

(Death is the separation from life). Our mortal bodies will die and be separated from this mortal world and all that is in it.The 2nd death is spiritual will we live forever with Christ ? Or be (separated /death)from him . Cast into outer darkness. Hell.where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.

One of the most discussed topics in Christendom is the idea of eternal salvation. Many noted Christian leaders in our day support the notion of eternal salvation that is not derived from scripture. God doesn't have a number of spiritual states one can be in and still serve Him. Some do try and 'straddle the fence', so to speak. Jesus plainly states in Revelation 3:15-16 that anyone considering themselves Christians and not do those things Christ commanded, have no part in His inheritance or kingdom. I note that in that same chapter of Revelation, He states in His message to the Sardis church of believers (mind you) that they who overcome, meaning obeying Him despite obstacles, sufferings or inconveniences, He will not blot their name out of the book of life. When an individual comes to Christ, that doesn't negate his or her ability to choose whether to continue in His service. Your free moral agency or freedom to choose is still there. Don't think so, consider King Saul. In 1 Samuel 10:9-11, God gives Saul a new heart and His spirit is given to him. Then in chapter 16 and verse 14, we read that God took His spirit away from Saul or departed from him. Why? DISOBEDIENCE, plain and simple. The apostle Paul had the same problem when Demas departed from him ( 2 Tim. 4:10) because of his love of this present world. Christ had a number of followers who departed from Him and followed Him no more ( John 6:66). Jesus cannot be anyone's Savior unless He's their Lord also.

I have a friend - Mike Salerno in Nashville TN -who is newly married, 2 yr old son, and recently born again. He was suddenly and unexpectantly diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in his brain and thyroid, with a terminal prognosis of just a couple of months to live. I know the impossible is where God shines! I ask for healing prayer and that God's glory is seen by all who are surrounding Mike, and that many will come to know Jesus as a result.

    Hello Richard.

    I know what you mean.

Everyone is different, though. For some catching a chat with a church member before service may just make someone's day when otherwise, the busyness of the work week doesn't allow people to meet up.

For me, I have always liked to come and find a seat and open my Bible to read a bit, and pray a bit, preparing for service. This always helps me.

I do notice how quickly people leave after church. It is only a matter of 5-10 minutes before the parking lot is empty. So, People don't linger long after worship. I wish there was more reason for people to linger a bit and fellowship. After an early service, people may leave quickly to get to a Sunday School class. But during the later morning service there is not Sunday School.

For me, I would love to be part of a church that has both services, Sunday School in between and a potluck lunch after second service so that there can be time for fellowshipping.

But I doubt I will find such a situation in my living area that teaches sound doctrine, and works at keeping worldliness out of the Sunday time of worship and fellowship. It is just the times we live in, I guess.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, PREACHED UNTO THE GENTILES, BELIEVED ON IN THE WORLD, RECEIVED UP INTO GLORY.

    1 Timothy 3:16.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16.

When "ALL" scripture is Allegorized or interpreted mystically it is NOT able to be profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

    There is the difference.

One is just so happen to be correct.

Christ sheep does not leave the back door open for the wolves to come in because they hate the sheep fold.

    God bless.

    Prayer in the church

I am convinced that one of the most commonly used and successful tactics the enemy uses to combat prayer is the cacophony of conversation that occurs prior to many church services while people grab a cup of coffee and a pastry. There is ALWAYS five or ten minutes when most church members and regular attenders are hanging out chatting about their relatives; friends; sports; work or other such stuff. It is sad to say that in the last three weeks I have heard NOTHING discussed about scripture or the Lord for that matter.

This is; admittedly me griping on the subject but this has happened repeatedly in my exprience in other houses of worship and I am sure others can relate. I have found that with some effort you can flesh out something meaningful; sometimes profound about someone's background in ministry or current personal struggles. It is harder; again from what I have observed to be able to steal a minute or two with someone to pray about something. This morning I had several folks who I told that I would pray for (one whose husband is ill which I heard about in Sunday school; another who told me he was out of work with migranes).

In all this I would be remiss not mentioning that there are more than one parishioner there praying DAILY for my situation living at home with unbelieving parents. Those who are in a prayerful mindset often speak little in these settings; as they do not wish to be part of meaningless chatter; I would suspect.

2 Corinthians 4:7 talks of treasure in earthen vessels; but also that the power is of God and NOT of us. There is a time and place for all types of discussion; but corporate worship should be focused on the Lord. There are more; it seems who boast of their store of deadly weapons than who wield the spiritual ones (at least in conservative circles). If we do not learn how to effectively use a weapon it becomes useless. Let us therefore guard our hearts ( Prov. 4:23). Also read Ephesians 6.

    Amen Brother Chris.

The unfortunate thing about this type of hyper way of interpreting scripture ( spiritualizing or Allegorically) "All" the scripture can cause confusion when one run across a portion of scripture that is an allegory or a type.

This extreme way of interpreting scripture can get in the way of deeper meaning and growth.

This is also why there is so much division in the Church concerning Israel and the Church and end time prophecy.

I believe this is very sinister especially when you see someone ask for prayer and this false teacher offer them a confusing message instead.

Some of these tares is obvious and for the most part I don't engage with them unless I see someone that is beginning in their growth and take hold of this false deceiver for help.

This is not like a disagreement on the Trinity or whether there's a hell or not but a completely restructure of doctrine.

Thanks and God bless you brother.

    Matt.2:1-2 "The sign"

"For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him."

The story of three kings is all too familiar and no Christmas Season is complete without it. The Spirit warns of the danger of misreading the power and majesty of his word so literal approach makes his eternal word into some silly tradition. Like names Caspar, Melchior are as farfetched and have become the accepted norm photoshoping the deity of Jesus Christ to make him a merchandise or to be be acceptable for the masses makes the sacred narrative into fables. "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. (2 Pe.1:16)

God commanded lights in the firmament of the heaven "and let them be for signs," and it is what set the "wise men from the east to Jerusalem." Like the jot and the tittle they are marks set by God so the eternal word forever settled in heaven makes them eternal portent warning people. The Spirit tells from where they set out. What is the significance of the east. Ever since the fall of man all migrations have been set in context of Eden. The Garden was placed in the east and after the great flood the nations are said to gravitate 'as they journeyed from the east' and the outer darkness in spiritual terms where the presence of God is inert. Cain went thither and Jesus was sure where the children of the kingdom for their disbelief would end up. (8:12) The Magi must have been occupied with stargazing, the jot and tittle strewn across the face of heaven. In understanding it in terms of the glory of the knowledge in the face of Jesus Christ they would embark on a journey hard but worth their while. They heard the call in their generation. Starlight of supernova reach us and millions of light years may have elapsed. It was thus with them. They set out in faith and a star led them forth.

I assume you are in England. This is sad; and haunting seeing where a little over 100 years ago England fought at least in part to oppose the Ottomon Empire's last stand for a Caliphate in regard to the Turks. Armenia is threatening a repeat of what happened then. It is ironic with the left seemingly leaning as far as they can it isn't enough as far as Palestinian rights are concerned.

Looking back I would suppose this is judgment; at least in part to the basically dead churches in England; who used to be a bastion of righteousness a couple hundred years ago with the great reformers and preachers and revivals in Europe that spread to the USA. There is a remnant which you are part of who truly believe. There are some who are reaching out to the youth today; and truly they will have to have a vision of their own to have any real impact on their generation. Antichrist is coming surely; to fill in the power vacuum that has existed since the end of World War two; basically. The governments are losing out to these mobs; as most who carefully worked to formulate one world government will be trampled by the results. The end result; of course is the false peace of the first seal which everyone claims to want followed by the 2nd seal which rather than being organized warfare is going to be mortal hand to hand combat most likely. The other wars come later as Israel becomes the focus of anger.

I tend to think that Israel will increase its territorial lands through conquering all their neighbors first ( Psalm 83 and at some point Isaiah 17). This will allow them at some point to have a respite where they sign the Daniel 9:27 pact. It is not until they are feeling secure in unwalled villages that Ezekiel 38 indicates the rest of the outer nations will launch a coordinated attack. For now casualties haven't mounted in these demonstrations as any one of them could be catastrophic.

I'll keep you in prayer and your family.

It is written "and he will safe his people from their sin". So Jesus came for his people! - not every one followed Jesus cause they were not interested in the way of life Jesus Christ lived and promoted. Jesus is spirit as God is spirit who is the Father and both made their dwelling in them who is called of God. God has not rejected everyone - only those that hear Him and is not willing to become his Children and obey the Father in their words and deeds. God established his body "Christ" where in He dwells and he instructed them to go and preach the Gospel unto them which seeks to walk the way of Life set by him.

An example is where the disciples said to Jesus that they stopped the people on the other side of Jordan to heal the people in His "Jesus" name - and Jesus said they not to do that as they are doing good works. God also called his body away from those that prefer to do evil. God has not stopped requiting followers but they Can only come to God thru the ones anointed by Christ and whom Jesus Christ had given authority to do so. There are ONLY one connection to God (whether it is something I like to hear or not - the end is God had made it so and no man will change it) and you need to be actively part off the Body of Christ Gods Church.

Jesus even warned his followers saying their will be many that will come in my name and mislead many if possible.

Amen, it is not money that is the root of all evil; it is the love of it 1st Timothy 6:10. Everyday we see this, churches going all out for big banquets, bigger churches, bigger sports attendees and equipment, bigger this and that more this and more that and nothing for the saving of the soul. Sports athletes on drugs, Hollywood movie actors on their 5th wife, divorce/adultery/fornication, etc. Big drug cartels shooting each other, terrorism everybody killing each other, etc. All because of the love of money. It is all corruption.

Preachers on their 3rd wife and writing perverted books and no bible just preaching their theology and philosophy for your pocketbook to fund more corruption. "Ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." 2nd Timothy 3:7. There is no end to their books and vain deceit which is corruption. I was in a ministry for 13 years the preacher was using money to finance his granddaughter's lifestyle as he preached we are not to be entangled with the world and everybody had to live like hermits while he was driving Cadillacs, funding his granddaughter's acting career, and involved with the holidays of the world that he preached against to his congregation. He used the money from the offerings to make CDs and tapes of his sermons and resell them to people for $10.00 each. Preached on radio, TV, etc how people are supposed to live with just barely a dime and give your money to him. I finally woke up to this after 13 years and saw that his love was money and he was corrupting his whole family and using deceit to cover up his tracks. No brotherly love was found d in his churches as he did not believe in it, it was always the wrath of God this and that. Whenever somebody got too close to the truth he used to fire off out-of-context scriptures, as it was his way of saying "back off" he was in love with his money and would rather kick people out of his church than being exposed. Just like 3rd John 1:9-10. Just like Galatians 4:17.

    Matt.1 Recap

The Word became flesh which underpins the generation of Jesus Christ is as distinct as Jesus Christ is from Jesus of Nazareth. The word of God Person specific so the Son is "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever." (He.13:8) God sent the word and healed them, the Psalm quote we find from his life. So his 'miracles' are fulfillment of the will of his Father. Word of God called and Joseph heard and served as a father to Jesus. Faith made Abraham relate to him as David.

"And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven./But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."(Matt.8:11-12)Significant is the context for this quote is the great faith which was demonstrated by a Roman centurion. Where the nation of Israel could not, he showed the truth inward parts carried the call. God fashioned all hearts alike and he tries their hearts. the Gentiles and Jews alike. It is thus we address the generation of Jesus Christ in terms of faith and it connects with the blessings on whosoever believes in him who he sent. This is the work of God.( John 6:28-29)

Jesus called Matthew or Levi and he readily followed. Modestly he refrains making mention of the feast that followed while St Luke tells us, "And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them." ( Luke 5:29)

But Matthew records of all the saints redeemed from the earth attending the great banquet while those who rejected among them the nation of Israel cast out into outer darkness. (8:12) Significant is the Parable of the Great Banquet recorded by him."The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son."(Matt.22:2)

Joseph settling down at Nazareth so "He shall be called a Nazarene," speaks of the generation of the son of Man.(2:23)

Isaiah Ch 13 V 12 , who is this most precious man that God will create ? Colossians Ch 3 V 10 , who is this image of him that created him ? There are people on here that sometimes get offended by the beliefs of others . I totally understand how they feel , that's because I am deeply , genuinely offended when anyone on here types these words in this order : G_d the S_n . I literally cringe and I am genuinely offended . Why does it not matter that I am offended but it does matter when others are offended by someone else's beliefs ? Silence does not mean acquiescence . Contrary to what some believe , there are actually very many Christians who are offended by that term . They tend to stay away from sites like this , me ? Im a bit more adventurous :) . For the time being at least . If anyone can answer those two questions at the begining of my post , I would love to read their answer , as long as it's not ridiculously convoluted .

No one has ever yet given me a convincing explanation as to how , the wages of sin is death and yet , after we die we apparently continue to live ! Either in heaven or in hell . Death is the cessation of life , if it wasn't then it wouldn't be much of a punishment would it ? This is very plain and simple to me and beyond question . God Himself says : the wages of sin is death , the soul that sinneth it shall die , cease to exist . Now that's a punishment . The entire narrative of the Bible supports this , chapter after chapter after chapter . This cannot be denied and I really do believe , honestly , that adding anything more , creating an afterlife of either continuous torture at the hands of some sort of supernatural personification of evil , for eternity is a vile concept that God would not permit . Or and afterlife in heaven , which is where God Himself lives , when Jesus clearly tells us that the meek shall inherit the earth and even more details are given by Paul in 1st Thessalonians , is creating your own fable for your own comfort and somehow applying it to Christianity , I can't say applying it to scripture because there are no scriptures that support this fable , is definitely adding to the word of God . It's blatant ! And it truly astonishes me , that anyone who has read the Bible could ever believe either of these things . Search your heart , search the scripture ! It's just not supportable , it's a fable ! The only thing that could ever convince me that these things are true is The Bible and it's not in the Bible ! I am a follower , of the Bible . Not of anyone . Since I started reading this site not one of my beliefs , that I was very convinced of for thirty years before finding this site , have changed , not one . My understanding has been enhanced , by only one or two people of all the people that post on here but my beliefs are my own and the same as many others . I know because I've met them . The trinity is a catholic doctrine and another fable .
  • Jema - In Reply - 1 year ago
Sadly you are correct but you must not give up hope . There are plenty of Christians who are not interested in money , me for one :) and I'm sure I'm not alone on here in that regard . We live in this world that is money obsessed and of course we all need some money in order to eat and drink etc . It's easy to get sucked into materialism , especially if you have more cash than you actually need . We must protect ourselves from materialism , there are many ways to do this but it requires conscious effort and discipline . Give as much as you can to charity , don't buy clothes that you don't need and if you do need some , consider buying second hand . I have a set amount in my bank account and if my savings go over that amount then I give the excess away . As long as I have enough to pay my bills and replace my oven or washing machine I'm happy :) . When my elderly parents die , which is likely to be quite soon , I shall inherit some cash and I'm literally dreading it . If I was single and without a family I would just give it all away to charity but because I have a husband I feel conflicted . I don't want to deprive him of a nest egg for his old age . I try not to think about any of this as it depresses me ! I pray that God will let me know what I should do with this money when the time comes and that the time doesn't come at all ! I hope Jesus returns before my parents die :) . We cannot be responsible for what others do with their money and we shouldn't let others behaviour get us down and affect our joy in Christ . We are only responsible for our own behaviour , so if you try to be generous with what God has given you then you are on the right track . Don't let the selfish behaviour of others upset you , if you are doing your best to live in the love of God through Christ , then you can rejoice in that love and be happy and thank God for everything .

Frank you don't have to live with someone who hits you . You need to tell her that that is totally unacceptable and that you won't tolerate it . How can two people live together in violence ? Matt.1:19 "A Just Man" (2 of 2)

Those who let public opinion run their lives were loathe to look at the glass of liberty, instead they loved the praise of men. What were these Jews, whited sepulchers. Parables were meant to separate hypocrites from the sincere.

"And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:/For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them./But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear."(13:14-16)

The Gospel begins with the Generation of Jesus Christ and ends with "lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."(Matt.28:20) Joseph was just man because he would set up a holy family, and he stood in place of God the Father 'which art in heaven."

    Matt.1:19 "A Just Man" (1 of 2)

"Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily."

Joseph and Mary were related. Joseph in marrying her was coming to face a bogey, 'the ways of the world', in which traditions of the fathers are a brute weight especially over a man of his humble trade and circumstances. "What shall others say' is a bogey Satan has used to turn away the weak and silly minds from doing the right thing. Going against them meant he would be socially ostracized and his family subject to calumny at every turn. Despite of it the word of God qualifies him a just man. We are told why.

"Then Joseph. did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:/And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus."(vv.24-25)

He believed the word spoken "of the Lord by the prophet." The word becoming flesh' the virgin aspect of it can only be settled by faith. St Paul was a 'virgin' on that account. He was called and separated from the womb and when the call came, "immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:"(Gal.1:16). Similarly was Mary who had never known a man and she carried the promise of the eternal word (Ps.119:89). She was willing to face the consequences.Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord ad bidden him. He waited meaning he let his faith work perfectly.

St Matthew in narrating this reveals the self-same kindred spirit as Joseph had. In beginning with the generation of Jesus Christ (1:1) he confesses the irresistible force of the word of God. "He (Jesus) saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him."(9:9) The Parable of the Sower speaks as much as of the world as a field as his heart was seeded with the light of the knowledge in the face of Jesus Christ.
