Jesus is our rest as he is the head of the ten commandments for rest sake as he is Lord of the Sabbath.
Mark 2:27] And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
[28] Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
1st Cor 11:[3] But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
Hebrews 10:[1] For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
[2] For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
[3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
[4] For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
The Jews could not keep the Sabbath and yet they claim to be a righteous people just like the Sabbath day keepers of today, the pollute it.
Nehemiah 13:[15] In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals.
[16] There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.
[17] Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?
[18] Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.
Jesus is God. Jesus is eternal. He has always existed with his father. And, right, nobody can look at the Father. His glory would kill us instantly.
Before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, what was he doing? He was living among his angels, as Michael. Jesus is the one who spoke to Abraham before he destroyed sodom and Gomorrah.
Whenever the Bible speaks of the Angel of the Lord, that is Jesus!!!!
We are first justified. Think of it as "just as if we never sinned". We are cleansed and forgiven. Then begins school. The process of becoming like Jesus. And, that is sanctification.
Think about someone saved at Bible camp or retreat. And for a year or so they are on fire. Then, bit by bit, they drift away. They stop learning about God. But, they reassure themselves that they are saved. "Once saved, always saved" is a dangerous lie.
"Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk and drawn from the breast. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line; hear a little and there a little." Isaiah 28:9-10 KJV.
I agree with everything you've said, including the comment that Saturday is the Sabbath and should be our day of "rest", in keeping with the 4th commandment. I don't believe this commandment was done away with by Jesus. but I wonder why make a doctrine out of whether we sleep until the resurrection or go straight to heaven? It has no bearing on our salvation either way that I can see. If we are going to be with God for eternity either way, so again, why make a doctrine out of it?
Of course, there may be a deeper meaning that I admit I don't see. So may question is real.
I know that Jesus wants us to fellowship together but I am not able to do that because in the small town I live in there doesn't seem to be a group to fellowship with that is KJB only ( most us the NIV) oe that worship on Saturday that isn't full of false doctrines. So I worship at home.
My last pastor preached from the NIV and I followed along in my KJB and paid very close attention to what he was preaching. I didn't like doing it that way but he ((seemed) and the people were very loving and Godly so I didn't want to leave either until the pastor told me that he believed the KJB wasn't written by God. I left immediately.
I am glad I found this KJB only discussion group. You all seem to love the Lord Jesus as I do. God Bless
My Sabbath is everyday. My Jesus is no longer here in the flesh as we know no man after the flesh 2nd Cor 5:16-17.
2nd Cor 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
old things are passed away, Sabbath day old thing.
Rev 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
Jesus had to be born again as he died and was burred. What came out of the grave was not the same thing that went into the grave. Jesus was now a dead man walking full of holes and no blood. Can you live with no blood? Nope, Jesus was eating and talking because of the sprit of God his Father in him a new creature.
Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
The bible says flesh and blood can not enter the kingdom of heaven 1st Cor 15:50. Jesus was now a new creation eating, talking and breathing and yet he had no blood. A born again Jesus this time of the spirit and no longer of Mary.
Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
[11] But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Hebrews 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ...
I'm sorry I didn't mean to imply you don't follow God's word; the KJB. Maybe you don't realize that the links on your 2 Corthians verses all say "* no matching KJB text." That was what I was asking about. I'm sure it's my misunderstanding.
Yes the bible does warn us of many false prophets teaching many false doctrines. As true believers we must be willing to diligently keep Christ and His true word formost in our hearts and lives and trust the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is infallible. That's why I feel blessed in finding this group of KJB only believers. Please have a blessed day.
Paul wrote of how difficult it was and that the old man in him had to die daily. No human is without sin and we must confess daily. I'm not saying we WANT to sin. But that we have the unfortunate propensity to sin as long as we are in this body. But, a born again person doesn't willingly sin. It's that perpetual struggle to do right.
Until we draw the last breath , we must battle. And, the battle is ourselves!
Christ is the end of the law of righteousness Romans 10:4. You were a righteous Jew if you celebrated the Sabbath day as it was a shadow of things to come. However, nobody can keep the Sabbath day, Jesus came and gave us new laws as the Sabbath day was the law of Moses the law of sin and death. Jesus came with new laws of spirit and life as the law of spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death Romans 8:1-3. The law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did. The Sabbath day could not keep people out of sin. Jesus came and became my Sabbath as everyday is my Sabbath. When you offend one point of the law (Moses law) you are a law braker. The moment you got out of bed last Saturday, you violated the sabbath day.
James 2:[10] For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
If you want to live the Sabbath day and all those holidays and feast days be my guest to live like a Leviticus Jew by my guest. If you offend or break any of those points you are guilty of the whole law.
Hebrews 7:19] For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
The Apostle Paul said this in Corinthians.
2nd Cor 3:[7] But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
[8] How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
[9] For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
[10] For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
[11] For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.
[12] Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
Let us significance of the house of bread from which he came on a divine Mandate. He came to fulfill the will of his Father. In multiplying loaves of bread as given in the gospel let us examine the leftovers. "And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full."(14:20) In John's Gospel, "When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost./ Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten." ( John 6:12-13) Number 12 signifies the Gospel of God. In fulfilling his Father's will the same Gospel is Gospel of Christ.
All four gospel records this 'miracle' and more significance in in the gathering of fragments that remained.
In the Gospel of Mark we read,"And they did all eat, and were filled./ And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes."( Mark 6:42-43) In Luke "And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets." ( Luke 9:17)
There are other instances in which 4x1000 has significance as the number Seven to mark the baskets. (Mark.8:8) (15:37-38)
According to principle of Similitude the symbol of bread in the House of God must match. The number 12 refers to the Gospel and 7 denotes fulfillment of the Will. In all these instances all those who partook were full.
Contrary to this we have an indictment against Israel. "Thou shalt eat, but not be satisfied; and thy casting down shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt take hold, but shalt not deliver; and that which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword./.. that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my people."( Micah 6:13-16) Bethlehem as a result has fallen into insignificance.
"He (Herod) demanded of them where Christ should be born./ And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,/ And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel."
This is a paraphrase of the Prophet Micah "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting."
The ruler in Israel whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting can only be the Word that became flesh. When God spoke through his prophet it can only be understood by the sign which man hears as well as sees. St Paul explains the true Light in terms of what is knowable. "The light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ' has shined in our hearts. The word that was sent shall not return to God in void. The phrase 'unto me' makes makes clear what Isaiah meant.Is.55:11
The name Bethlehem of Judah gives historically the place name. It means the house of bread.
The Spirit annotates Jesus Christ as the bread from heaven. In Micah we have several puns or word-play and the name Bethlehem is one such.
I get all my teachings from the book from the bible. Don't know what you are talking about as the verses I use the churches refuse to talk about them or dare preach on them because it will expose them who they are.
Jeremiah 23:[9] Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness.
[10] For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.
[11] For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.
[12] Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.
Jesus was subject unto God his Father like anybody else
Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,.."
God was not Superman to come as a human being he sent his Son Jesus John 3:16. If Jesus was God he sure is the weakest one I ever read as Jesus can do nothing by himself without the spirit of God his Father in him. John 5:30
John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
No man can see God's face at anytime as people will die. Moses can never see God's face and neither can we, we only have the Son of God as an example who God his Father really is. Jesus preached God is a spirit John 4:24. Jesus never said that he was God in the whatever and if so nobody would be able to see his face.
John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Exodus 33:20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.
Jesus fulfilled the law, which means he died and did everything that was written of him to do. The testimony of two m((en)) is true John 8:7 and not one m((an)). God was not Superman to become flesh, it was his Son as all the prophets of old knew that God had a son.
Daniel 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
God never left his throne he sent his Son Jesus and not himself Romans 8:3.
Asking (for us and all in need) for strong protection, deliverance, healing and most importantly salvation (all family members, relatives, those we know and care about) and the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Praying also for all the pain points the Lord knows about. Asking for breakthrough and strength. Thank you Lord for an encouraging development today after prayer for a specific situation yesterday. I pray that there will be a complete turnaround. Thank you. Also lifting up Israel+surrounding, Ukraine/Russia, Sudan and all other areas in the world where there is conflict. Have mercy Lord and may many turn to you Jesus. Amen.
Mary is not our mediator, nor is she our intercessor but the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit Himself intercede for us (see Romans 8 and Hebrews 7:25). Also see 1 Timothy 2:5 which tells us that there is "one God and ONE mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus" Trust only in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is God in the flesh, He alone atoned for our sins by freely laying down His life and shedding His blood for our sins, He rose again on the third day, ascended to Heaven and will return to rule and reign.
I just started using this site so you may have already explained the notation on this discussion but I was wondering why you have noted that none of the 2 Corinthians verses you used, noted they were not in the bible?
Jesus gave Moses the law on Sinai! Jesus is God. The law is Gods law! Jesus died for that law. He didn't do away with it! If the law was unimportant, then why did he have to die? No. No. The Decalogue is the centerpiece of Gods happy home.
John is talking about the Decalogue. The law written in stone by the finger God. It will NOT change. Like God. No shadow of turning.
The levitical law was written by Moses as dictated by God. This ceremonial law foreshadowed Christ dying on the cross. The entire sanctuary service is a type/ an object lesson. The ancient Jews received the gospel! The ceremonial law was done away when Jesus died and rose. Jesus was the antitype.
"If you hold back your foot on shabbat from pursuing your own interests on my holy day; if you call shabbat a delight, Adonai's holy day, worth honoring; then honor it by not doing your usual things or pursuing your interests or speaking about them. If you do, I will make you to ride on the heights of the land and feed you with the hermit of your ancestor Jacob, for the mouth of Adonai has spoken." Isaiah 58:13-14.
Jesus criticized the Jewish leaders for laying a burden to heavy to be born. Jesus criticized man made doctrine and tradition.
He sabbath is REST from pursuing money. It is rest from life stress. Make dinner for yourself. Have friends over. Discuss God. Listen to music, take a walk, visit someone who is sick. Help your neighbor. Do a good deed.
Where do you get such gospel that santifcstion is a life long process? It does not exist in the bible. The bible says this.
John 17:17] Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
The apostle Peter talked about once we have known the truth and turn away from it there is no more sacrifice for sin.
2nd Peter 2:20] For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
[21] For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
[22] But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
Obviously Peter was writing about people who were once santified. Acts chapter 5 Annians and Saphara two holy santified people who decided to do their own thing and obey a different voice, the voice of the devil as the man of God Peter knew who deceived them in not putting their share if the offerings as thry were supposed to.
Acts 5:3] But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
[4] Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
[5] And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
We became sanctified instantly the moment you accept Jesus Christ and his words from the Gospel of Christ.
Col 1:28] Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
If nobody is without sin then nobody is going to heaven. Jesus told people in John 5:14 "go and sin no more." The Bible says in 1st John 3:8 "he that commith sin is of the devil..." no such verse as you sin because you are of God or Jesus. The wages of sin is hell fire and brimstone Romans 6:23. It pays to sin, it pays to serve the devil, your wage or payment is called death and not life eternal. Sinless people after the cross as Christ came to wash away sin and not make a new type of sinner called Christian sinners.
The apostle Paul just like me is an ex-sinner saved by grace Romans 6:18. If nobody can be free from sin, Jesus died for nothing. The Bible makes it clear God does not hear the prayers uttered by sinners John 9:31.
Romans 6:16] Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
[17] But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
[18] Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
Romans 5:19] For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
[20] Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
[21] That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
The apostle Paul was free from sin after he was saved, Peter, John, James, etc. All ex-sinners as they knew that sin is deceitful and only brings death. Why sin? Why walk in sickness, darkness, and death?
1st John 1:[6] If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness ((sin)), we lie, and do not the truth:
[7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
oops Jema, I meant to respond to your post to Ronald concerning whether we still live after our body dies.
As to your response to Chris, the Scriptures do say that Jesus was fully human, having a human body created for Him. But He differs from all other humans in that He is the divine Son of God who took onto Himself a full human nature including a body to be our perfect human representative and sacrifice for our salvation. He is God who took a human nature for us. The person of Christ is God the Son, not a human person that took on divinity, but a divine person who took on humanity.
Even the Pharisees were going to stone Him in John 10 for saying He was the Son of God. They charged that He was claiming to be God, which He was.
But I know that you do not believe this, and I understand that you do not wish to debate. I am not intending to do so.
I hope your day has gone well. It is morning here in Washington state.
When I read your post to Chris, I immediately though of Matthew 22:23 where Jesus said, "I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
To me, Jesus is saying that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are alive.
Also, refer to 1 Samuel, 2:6 in the song Hannah sang, "The Lord killeth, and maketh alive; he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up."
Notice the order, first death, then made alive. Of course this happens fully in the resurrection, but in considering what Jesus said that He who believes in me will never die. ( john 11:26)
And, one of my favorite verses: Romans 8:37-39
"Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
This clearly says that death cannot separate us from God.
And Jesus said to His disciples, "Behold, I AM with you always, even to the end of the world." Matthew 28:20
And Paul encourages believers by reminding them that God said, "I will never leave You nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5, Josh. 1:5
So, to me, always and never mean that we will always be alive, whether in this life now or after we die.
Therefore, I believe that when we die, our body dies, but we are still alive with God. Our bodies will be rejoined to our soul and spirit when we are resurrected and then we will be made complete (whole, perfected) for eternity.
Jesus wept over Jerusalem and said "Behold your house is left unto you desolate." The great privilege given to the Jews, to be priests to the world, was taken away and given to the gentile believers at the stoning of Stephen.
The geographical land of Israel has NO bearing upon the last days. WE believers are Israel. WE are scattered around the world. The Babylonian system wants to crush us. "Come out of her my people and be ye separate ". "Touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you."
The anti christ IS here and HAS BEEN here for hundreds of years. The antichrist was identified by many Protestant church fathers as the office of the Pope. The Catholic/Vatican/ Jesuit system. I am NOT calling Catholic people antichrist! I was born and raised Catholic.
Changes made by the pope:
1. The 10 commandments. Compare the Catholic 10 commandments to any Bible translation which is based upon the Textus Receptus. In English, that is the KJV.
2. The day of worship. God rested on the SEVENTH day and blessed it. NOT SUNDAY! The sabbath is Saturday.
3. The Gregorian calendar changed God's calendar. God's calendar is based on the moon, and the new year in the spring.
4. The daily clock. God said a new day begins at sunset. The pope said the new day begins at midnight.
"And he shall speak words against the most high and shall wear out the saints of the most high AND HE SHALL THINK TO CHANGE THE TIMES AND THE LAW:" emphasis mine. KJV Daniel 7:25.
The Wiseman were around to give gifts for the new king of the Jews Jesus. It is not important for salvation of what happened or became of them. The Wiseman gave Jesus gold, frankincense and mirth. Gifts for a king.
Ecc 8:4] Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?
John 6:63] It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Jesus words are spirit and life, John 6:63 that is some power. Today, in Christ Jesus we are kings, we are a royal priesthood we can decree things.
1st Peter 2:9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
[10] Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Rev 1:4] John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
[5] And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
[6] And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
That is some power as we are in Chrust kings and priests. The Wiseman were never spoken of again in the bible after Matthew 2.
Praying to dead saints opens the door to demons impersonating dead loved ones.
Research that.

I am glad I found this KJB only discussion group. You all seem to love the Lord Jesus as I do. God Bless
Until we draw the last breath , we must battle. And, the battle is ourselves!
I just started using this site so you may have already explained the notation on this discussion but I was wondering why you have noted that none of the 2 Corinthians verses you used, noted they were not in the bible?
John is talking about the Decalogue. The law written in stone by the finger God. It will NOT change. Like God. No shadow of turning.
The levitical law was written by Moses as dictated by God. This ceremonial law foreshadowed Christ dying on the cross. The entire sanctuary service is a type/ an object lesson. The ancient Jews received the gospel! The ceremonial law was done away when Jesus died and rose. Jesus was the antitype.
Who will you obey? God or man?
The verse you quoted says nothing about discontinuing the sabbath.
The sabbath is a GIFT!
The geographical land of Israel has NO bearing upon the last days. WE believers are Israel. WE are scattered around the world. The Babylonian system wants to crush us. "Come out of her my people and be ye separate ". "Touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you."
Rev 1:4] John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
