Hi VALMAR: I know that what you are teaching is 100% correct. The pat answer for those who believe in eternal security is that no one really goes back to sin, they were just never born again in the first place. That their profession of salvation was phony. However, I know this is false because of the scriptures, of course, but also from personal experience. My husband and I were living sinful lives with no regard for God (I was raised a Catholic so I had no idea what a personal relationship with Jesus was.) Tim knew but was not interested and we seemed very happy. Finally, through the witness of a fellow employee, Tim started feeling his need for Jesus in his heart and the employee's wife started witnessing to me and Tim and I got truly saved, on the same day, several weeks later. Our whole lives changed drastically. We loved Jesus and through His grace and power we left our sins, we started attending church with our friends that witnessed to us, we bought bibles and loved reading and studying them, we loved everything Godly in our lives. We had such joy in our hearts. What, other then true salvation, could have made us suddenly make these wonderful changes in our lives, if not for true salvation. But after several years we let the cares of the world that came upon us cause us to became discouraged and weary to the point of drifting further and further away from God and eventually we backslide and stop loving and serving Him, then Tim divorced me . I was so devasted. I knew my only answer to be able to go on (I had 3 small children) was to surrender to Jesus and I did. I have been living for Him ever since. I never remarried. Tim continued in sin until, on his deathbed, through the witnessing of his sons and daughter, he accepted Christ and less then a day later he died. I suppose some may find holes in this written testimony but I lived it and I know, and anyone else who truly rightly divides the scriptures will know also. God Bless You

Hi Jema, I forgot to say, concerning the day and hour of Christ's return, that some have said that it should read, no one will "make known" except God the Father. Other beings, such as the angels, could know, right now, the day and hour. But God the Father will " make known."

    Food for thought.

    Hi Jema,

    One last comment on time:

Jesus said nobody knows the day or hour of his return , but only the father in heaven.

Here is the thing, in those ancient days, it was the father that had the privilege of announcing the wedding!

So , perhaps Jesus is simply saying that no angel, nor he himself will announce his wedding to the bride ( us, the church). It is the privilege of God our Father!

It is very exciting. Jesus must know the day and hour because he is God. But, he is waiting for the announcement.

    "Tunney"

Without JESUS it is IMPOSSIBLE to exist peace not only in the Jerusalem, but in the nation of Israel as a whole. By the way, the Holy City, where also our Lord was crucified, is now spiritually called Sodom and Egypt. You know that JESUS prophesied the Temple would be destroyed, saying: "There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down"- Matthew 24:2- , and it LITERALLY fulfilled in the year 70AD, and Israel was scattered around the world until 1948, i.e.1878 years of severe punishments and curses in LITERAL fulfilment of Deusteronomy 28:15-68, 53 verses of terrible chastisements-Take a look. The dispersed people of Israel have never had peace in the last two millennia. And NOW? The WORST will come now, even now, from now on, because the Day of Vengeance arrived, understand? 2Thes.1:7-9; combined with Matthew 24:15-25.

7 ... the Lord JESUS shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, (angels? Luke 20:35-36.Take a look)

8 In flaming FIRE taking VENGEANCE on them that know not GOD, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord JESUS Christ:

    9 Who shall be PUNISHED with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power;

Remember: Pilatos asked to the Jews: John 18:39-40

39 Ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the KING of the JEWS?

40 Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.

JESUS said: John 5:43-I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if ANOTHER shall come in his own name(an IMPOSTOR, a FALSE MESSIAH), him ye will receive. (This prophecy of our Lord JESUS will LITERALLY be fulfilled in days ahead)

2 Do ye know that the saints shall Judge the world?

Re.1:7 Behold,JESUS cometh with clouds( Acts 1:9-11-take a look)and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.

Lord Jesus I ask for your mighty hand of protection over us and for you to fight our battles. Please help with all these "stressors" that wear us out. Please work salvation in our family and among all those we know who have not yet come to you. Please work miracles of deliverance and healing for us and all others crying out to you and those in need. Please send encouragement and strength and please bless our planned outreaches at church and the prayer meeting this Friday. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Lord Jesus in your mercy please touch Jonathan with your healing hands. You have said in your word that you are the Lord who heals us. Please glorify your name in Jonathan's life and Lord you are also our provider so please provide for him. Thank you. Amen.

    Hi Jema,

Have you ever heard the notion that the sun and moon are like our clock? The sun is the minute hand and the moon is the hour hand.

Also, interesting that the term "in the fullness of time", throughout the Bible indicates that God has his eye on our clock.

    Very interesting stuff.

Hi Jema, I'm know you know about the feasts. I just want to clarify that I was mostly thinking about the 3 fall feasts that symbolically are awaiting for their fulfillment in type. Come LORD Jesus! I'm really impatient! Lol
  • Shabbat Keeper - In Reply - 1 year ago
Hi Jema, I believe the month's number of days was based on the sighting of the new moon. I would have to read up on it again. I have forgotten.

The thing is that the Pope changed our calendar from sighting the new moon to whatever it is now.

The new year always began in the spring with Passover. Secular Israel now has the head of the year at Yom Teruah, the feast of trumpets.

Really it's all messed up. The feasts had symbolic meaning. The different feasts were important as object lessons. And the foreshadowing of future events.

It's another huge, huge topic. Super interesting though.

    :)

Matt.6:14-15 "Under the shadow of his wings"

" For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:/But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

Superscription refers to this well known psalm,"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."(Ps.91:1) We show mercy to one who is in need of help and we are to do it secretly. "And thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly." This is what the word of God has promised. He dwells in secret place which as the writer to the Hebrews says,"And upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. It is the heavenly place that we dwell when our lives are hid in Christ. (Col.3:1-3) We abide in 'the secret place of the most High as well as we are upheld by the word of his power. So doctrine of God warns you how you should worship him. In Spirit and in truth when we abide under the shadow of the Almighty. In 5:23-24 Jesus tells us, "Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;/ Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. " You shall be measured by the same measure with which you judge your neighbor. Are you offended because the false shepherds have locked under the LGBTQ label and warned from pulpit to shun him, don't. The enemies of Christ offer 'Abomination of desolations' on behalf of their masters to which liberty of the Spirit warns,' first cleanse your heart of it and then offer thy gift. God knows hypocrisy from far off. God called you to be a good neighbor and no to be the judge.

The Spirit uses shadow as power to heal as the shadow of Apostle Peter healed people.(Ac.5:15) How well do we abide under the shadow of his wings?

    Shabbat Keeper,

Not intending to be meddling, but Chris was not being contentious with Valmar. He was seeking clarification from Him.

    Hello Jema,

It is very possible that Lazarus did tell people his experiences, but God chose to not include his words in Scripture.

    Hi Adam,

Yes, I agree with you that there will be deception in the last days. It behooves us to question absolutely EVERYTHING.

I feel too tired to write more. If you are inclined then look up flat earth, Eric Dubay on youtube and also David Weiss DITRH. David Weiss ( Deep Inside The Rabbit Hole) also has a website. This flat earth subject is HUGE and both of these people have answers to difficult questions. Also, they address all those points concerning traveling around the "globe", shadows, seasons, etc. For the record, I think the flat earth concept proves God. I think the Bible is a flat earth book. Let us all parse out the truth for ourselves.

Hi Edwars54 , increasing your faith is an ongoing journey for all Christians . To me , you must first recognise that there is a God , a Creator and Sustainer of all life and that God is the Holy One of Israel . Nothing that we humans do is of any consequence . God is in complete charge of all of His creation . Without Him you wouldn't exist , without Him nothing would exist . You must recognise that He is all powerful and can do anything with any part of His creation . Once you can truly accept these truths then you need to start to get to know Him through His Word the Bible . This in itself should be a life long process . As you learn of Him and grow closer to Him through His Word , you will start to recognise Him in your life and in the world around you , you will see His love and mercy everywhere . This is enormously cheering when this happens , you should start to feel very happy and very loved . Pray to Him every day and thank Him for every good thing in your life , I thank Him if my bus arrives on time :) . Once you realise that literally every good thing in your life comes from His hand your life is totally in His hand , then hopefully your love towards and faith in Him should start to grow . You must recognise that you are totally dependant on Him for absolutely everything . Read the Bible every single day and thank Him every single day and see His love and mercy every single day , in your life and in the lives of others . Never doubt His love or His willingness to forgive you when you sin but don't take His mercy for granted :) . Be patient , He wants you with Him , let Him put you where He wants you to be .

    Hi Jesse,

I understand in delays in replies many work and have family responsibilities. This subject is being discussed by several people and I just wanted to share a few points of my understanding on it. The questions were not directed towards you, you can reply to them if you want but they were some of the questions I wrote down when I was studying this subject because some Scriptures seem to support both understandings if not deeply studied, not saying you have not.

Scripture tells us God is love, 1 John 4:8,16 and we have been told God does not have pleasure in the death of the wicked, Ezekiel 33:11 caries us to John 3:16 God does not want us to perish. The Bible tells us the soul that sinneth will die, Ezekiel 18:4 God preserves the souls of the saints Psalms 97:10 the faith and belief in Jesus by the grace of God can save our soul Hebrews 10:39.

Scripture tells us of various degrees of punishment like in Luke 12:46-48 Revelation 21:8. In Genesis 2:7 man became a living soul/being, my understanding is the breath of God is the spirit of life which goes back to God when we die whether lost or saved and this body becomes a dead soul that sleeps in the dust until resurrection then the judgment Revelation 20.

To repeat, eternal life is our promise it is something we do not have, only by faith and belief in Jesus Christ by the grace of God we will receive this gift when we are resurrected not before. If we say our souls are immortal, we are saying we already have eternal life, and it is just where are we going to spend it?

My understanding is the lost and wicked punishment is eternal forever, not the punishing, Satan and the fallen angels the beast and false profit will be tormented day and night for ever and ever as we see in Revelation 20:10, but they are not mortal beings like we are, and we see in Matthew 25:41 it was originally prepared for them.

Just my understanding of Scripture thanks again.

    God bless,

    RLW

Sorry Jesse , I did reply to you but forgot to put it in the 'reply' bit . As for what I'm looking for , nothing ! I love reading this site and I'm sometimes moved to comment , it's as simple as that . I'm not an experienced commentator on the internet , just and ordinary person . Hope that is helpful to you and sorry if I've caused you any annoyance :) .

I've always wondered about that , a month in the Bible is 28 days , a lunar month , why was that changed ? Does anyone know please ?
  • Jema - In Reply - 1 year ago
I agree but remember , God is able to save those that are His from anything . Think of the Israelites in Egypt , all around them these awful plagues were causing chaos with the Egyptians but the Israelites just did as they were told and none of these plagues touched them . They went behind their doors that had been smeared in the blood of the lamb . That was sufficient to keep them safe and it's sufficient for us too . Don't be afraid , God sees you and knows you and you are His .

    Matt.5:14-16 "City on a hill"

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid./ Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house./ Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

This is set as a light of Zion out of which the law shall go forth. "Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined./Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

."(Ps.50:1-6) In this context every believer is to set the light on the candle-stand, which as the vision of Zechariah tell is a single stem, all gold with two olive trees on left and right(4:2). Without abiding in Christ, or seeing through his light, which is true one is setting it under a bushel or under his bed.

Heart of man is a tabernacle, so when we speak of our position in relation to Christ our Redeemer Lord on a sure ground because his right arm "brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him". He is the one who shall fight our battles for us. He is the full armor of God to which the Isaiah passage refers.(Is.59:16). The above mentioned quote over Zion is set between from the rising of the sun unto the sunset, a day. This is the day decreed for the Son.(Ps.2:7-8). The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof. In v.6 we have the certainty that God shall judge. "Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice./And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself.

"But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end." It is thus we make sense of the will from both worlds of the Father-Son relationship.

    Goodmorning all.

For those who was on the site around three years ago, doesn't these tense conversations seem strikingly familiar when we had Sascha from the EU on the site? Very Very similar.

Not to throw any shade on Sascha but she left the site several times and returned with a new name several times.

She admitted she had trouble loving the others "especially men" She said she was ultra sensitive, And it was all around 2 topics. The Trinity and Hell.

    Just a thought.
