I also believe that the 40 years in the wilderness was required before the first member of the 4th generation army was admitted to Isreal's ranks when they turned 20 years old on the day of Passover in the 470th year after God appeared to Abraham.
The last member of 4th generation of Israel's army was admitted to its ranks the day before the Passover in the 490th year after God appeared to Abraham, which was the first Passover celebrated in Hebron after Caleb took possession of it. Hebron was the place Abram was standing 460 years earlier in Gen 15 when God told Abram he would know with certainty he would possess the land when his seed returned here (i.e. Hebron) in the 4th generation. This Passover occurred after 70 times 7 weeks of years which is later echoed by Jesus in the number of times we are required to forgive our brothers their sin rather than merely the 7 times that Peter suggested as the maximum number of times we must forgive our brothers their sins.
The sacrifice of Issac by Abraham also almost certainly again occurred on the day of Passover. This established the mountain which David bought to build the temple and which led to him receiving the promise of both the everlasting house and kingdom that our Lord has established. The offering of Issac could have taken place as early as Abraham's 28th year in the land when Issac was 13 (the age Ishmael was circumcised and Jewish men have their Bar Mitzvah) or as late as the 53rd year Abraham sojourned in the land when Issac was 38 in the year his mother Sarah died at age 128 and Abraham purchased her burial cave. This range allows for Issac to be the exact same age when Abraham offered him as a sacrifice that Jesus was when he was offered by the Father as a sacrifice. This almost certainly occurred when Issac was 35, which would have been 3 years before the burial cave was bought, i.e. 3 days of years signifying Christ would take possession of death and the grave in 3 days.
Jema, I wonder if it's just normal that we continue to hurt after being wronged. It's a fact that we are suffering the collateral damage of another person's sin. Maybe it's not anything that God requires us to "get over". I had a bad experience with two relatives who could care less that they hurt me. It just adds yet another layer of "terrible" to think I'm not being a good Christian because I am unable to really forgive in my heart.
Anyway, I look to the Biblical model, the way we are restored to a right relationship with our God. And secondly, Numbers 5:6-7, the person who commits the trespass against another human being, is given instructions to repair the damages.
6 Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the LORD, and that person be guilty;
7 Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.
So that's really the way it's supposed to be. The person who was wronged should be made whole again. Up to five times . Then, the wronged person is in even better shape than before. And, that would eliminate grudges. If my two relatives would write multiple letters of apology to all my relatives, if they would correct the slander. If only. Then, I would feel able to truly forgive. Maybe God does not expect anything other than that for me.
I am so thankful I found your website! I feel I was led to it by our Father. I read along with audio by James Earl Jones. Would love a website that explains the Bible, chapter by chapter, verse by verse! Thank you. May God Bless you!
Jema, agreed. Forgiveness is so difficult. I can say I forgive, but am I carrying a grudge? Once, I heard someone say to forgive like a banker. The banker knows that the money is owed, but "forgives the debt". In the same way, I can release the offender even tho I get nothing in return. They don't have to say sorry. They don't owe me anything.
Even tho I will still remember that there was a debt, and I cannot forget that truth. But, I "forgive" the debt of them making things right with me. I release them from the obligation. Now, obviously, we would not have a restored relationship. But, at least I won't be boiling mad all the time.
Hi Amasuca, It sure does look like the millennial reign! It definitely speaks of a future that is different from what we have now. The prophets are interesting and complicated. It has helped me to know where they lived and what was happening to them at that time. But so many prophesies can be repeated, in a manner of speaking. The exodus will happen for us too. Jesus will take us out of the land of slavery to live in houses we did not build.
It's so nice to be chatting with people who obviously love Jesus and yearn to see him. The land is barren where I live.
Why do you think those wars didn't solve anything?
Did not God cause those wars?
Is he not the God of the earth?
Is not HIS WILL being done on earth.
Is not his ways, not our ways
Can we see the end as he sees he end?
Are the wars going on today not his works?
Matthew 24:6 And you shall hear of wars, and rumors of wars: see that ye BE NOT TROUBLED, for all these things must COME TO PASS, but the end IS NOT YET.
Hello Hadassah, Christian greetings! An afternoon meditation. Christ the warrior has sent his message of the Gospel into his servants hearts and changed their own works unto His. By the bow the Spirit of God goes on before and behind our life's witness of Peace both conquering and having conquered.
In the last of the three chapters we are examining the doctrine of God as Jesus applied in his own life so we look our own lives under the true Light and it is like a candle we search our inner lives by the in-house tutor. (Pr.20:27). He assured us,"ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."( John 16:24). Joy is fruit of the Spirit. If this is the truth one need seriously examine wherefore joy is missing from abiding life. St Paul testified amidst all kinds of adversities and perils, "Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice."(Ph.4:4)
Abiding life means we have let the risks and irksome minutiae of swimming against the currents into our Redeemer Lord and let our faith go along with His lead. He is our Good Shepherd. There is no split in our eye of faith and what our natural eyes behold. Where such a contrary worlds a believer creates we have the situation found in our key text. He has a public persona which is completely odd with his inner vision. He professes like a lamb but if let he is ready to shred whosoever stands in his way. "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." The proof is in their fruits, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."(7:16-20)
There is no escaping from God the Father of lights who in giving his Son the redemption of our souls expect clarity in our purpose and walk. Do not expect one may indulge Jesus talk and fool all but God is not fooled by his crooked shadow.
One of the difficult things for me , in regard to forgiveness , is being able to let go of the pain . If someone has done something very bad to you ,and you decide to forgive them , that's good but , how do you let go of the pain that they have caused you ? Your forgiveness might be genuine but what if the pain of what they did to you is still there ? How do we get rid of that pain ? In my experience the only way to ease these pains is through prayer to God to ask Him to heal the painful wound . Thy Kingdom Come .
"Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?/ Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?/If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children,"
Children of men ask their fathers than from a stranger. There is a bond stronger than words can carry and he is not let down. If so how much more shall our father in heaven give to us. His perfection covers the unjust as well as the just.(5:48). Abiding in Jesus we must learn to align with him to ask the perfect gifts. 'Let thy kingdom come' so we are taught by the Son. Instead asking what is beneath the holiness of our Lord Savior is demeaning. "Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not./Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." (Jas.4:3-4) Jesus said,"My kingdom is not of this world," if we ask for things to consume upon our lusts than bring glory to him we certainly ask amiss. When some wanted him to arbiter between division of their inheritance he refused to be a party. He was not there among them to judge their quarrels. So how do we interpret vv.1-2? "Judge not, that ye be not judged./ For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."
Abiding in the Son means to forbear till such time he shall in his glory separate the goats from the sheep so the glory covers not only us but his Father as well. "That God may be all in all".(1 Co.15:28). Trust in his Son's judgment is essential. "In thee is the fountain of life. In thy light we see the light. So we lay aside every selfish desire,('lusts') to seek his kingdom first. " But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." 'These things' refer to vv.30-31
All those wars in the name of God, for example the crusades did not solve anything did they
Re.11:4 - These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. (Whatsoever is more than these or is added comes of evil).
The two olive trees
are to produce oil for the two candlesticks.
They are the Old and the New Testaments-i.e. the Word of GOD-, the Word is GOD, understand? John 1:1
The two candlesticks
are two Churches: The Jewish Church - Hebrews 12:23; and Gentile Church: John 10:16
For example: Revelation 1:20 - ... the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches (of Asia).
Who will be in the scenary from now on or in this end of the time is Michael, a prince of the LORD sent by JESUS as the God of the earth (as Moses was sent as the God of Pharaoh), he appeared to John in the midst of the seven candlesticks as one like unto the Son of man. Now he will be in the midst of the two Churches -TWO CANDLESTICKS as above cited- and to the TWO OLIVE TREES above cited WILL BE(IS)given Power to shut heaven that it rain not in these days of THEIR prophecy: and have Power over waters (OVER PEOPLES, AND NATIONS, AND MULTITUDES OF ALL TONGUES-FOR HE THAT IS ABOVE IS ABOVE ALL- John 3:31-36) to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. The Word is GOD, self-executing, understand?
Yes, you are right, truer, for you did an excellent biblical study and got to a true conclusion that is confirmed even by the Word of GOD. According Exodus 12:40-41 the children of Israel dwelt in Egypt 430 years. Paul Apostle says the same in his epistle to the Church of Galatians- Galatians 3:17.
God bless you, and remain prepared with your lamp(GOD's Word), and oil, (because only lamp is not suffice to meet the Lord JESUS), so that your lamp does not go out in this turn from the sixth to the seventh Day, the Lord's Day, for it's midnight at GOD's clock and the darkness is great and is dangerous. Remember Psalm 91 as a whole, here I highlight verse 5&6 that say: 5 "Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; ... 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; ...
They are not actually given in Revelation and there is always a discussion about this and lots of different opinions . Keep reading the Bible , every day . Eventually you will come to your own conclusion , which may be right or , it maybe wrong :) .
It is only God that supports me , physically mentally emotionally and spiritually , He alone gives me strength and cheers me up and calms me . Always give Him thanks , always trust Him , He is real He is alive and He is right there with you . Whatever you are going through , He hears . It might seem like a silly little thing that is bugging you and you don't like to ask Him for help with it , but ask Him ! You are His child and He loves you and if you need help ask Him ! Thy Kingdom Come .
Get back into the habit . Even just one verse a day is ok . Pick a time when you know you won't be disturbed and you are nice and relaxed . Maybe start reading one of your favourite books ? As soon as you start to read it again you will feel so refreshed , it's like coming home to a warm house on a cold day . You won't want to leave :) .
"Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
In the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant(18:21-30) we have the servant who apparently let a beam in his eye and it prevented him see the unsurpassable riches of mercy held out to his account in heaven. This ran to 'ten thousand talents' an enormous amount in terms of his salvation. By forgiving his past God showed mercy on one who was 'dead in trespasses and sins' and taken into service. In his refusal to keep his eye of faith ever fixed on his master he was persecuting a fellow servant who owed an hundred pence. He reduced the worth of his salvation to a paltry sum. He would not abide in his Son so saying 'once saved is saved enough' teaches us our own problem. The Power that raised his Son must be active so " but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."(Ro.12:2)
The same hypocrisy in our personal conduct as ambassadors is what convulsing the activism of the Evangelicals.
Nowhere in the Bible the Spirit tells of God's mercy as being expressed once. "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not./They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."(La.2:22-25) God breathed into us and made us living soul which also serves as a sign. In Trinity body of the Son serves as the soul of Zion, collective name of every soul redeemed by the perfect sacrifice. (Ps.50:5) "The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him." With abiding life we are learning to prove the perfect with into which without the grace of Jesus Christ is nul. ( John 15:5)
"Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined." This perfection is what we have in terms of light.
Now reexamine this verse, "if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light."(v.23)
I believe based on Acts 7:2-7 that the 430 years began from the day the "God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was still in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran, and said to him, 'Get out of your country and from your relatives, and come to a land I will show you.'", which began the sojourn of the sons of Israel. This would mean that God's first appearance to Abram occurred on the 15th day of the month Nisan, which was exactly 430 years to the day before the children of Isreal left the land of Egypt on the first day of Passover.
It appears from Gen 11:28-32 that Abram told his father he was leaving Ur of the Chaldeans to go to the land of Cannan, but this resulted in his father deciding to go along and take Lot with them. Terah ended up taking the lead in the journey and caused Abram to settle in Haran until Terah's death. Abram was 75 when he resumed his journey and reached Canaan where God told him "To your seed I will give this land." However, he allowed Lot to come with him.
Gen 13 and 14 shows that there were two stages in Abram's physical separation from Lot, where Lot first chose to sojourn to the cities of the plain of Jordan as far as Sodom, and then became entangled in the war and captivity of those cities, leading Abram to have to pursue the captors to deliver Lot.
I believe Gen 15 took place when Abram on the 15th of Nisan exactly 30 years after the original call God had given when Abram was in Mesopotamia and 400 years before the Passover when Israel left Egypt. If chapter 15 also occurred in the same year that Sarai gave Hagar to Abram when he was 85 ( Gen 16:3) then that would mean Abram had spent 20 years in Haran with his father and 10 years in Cannan continuing to interact with Lot before he had fully separated from his family. This explains why God chose that particular night to finally impute righteousness to Abram's faith and to pass through the sacrifice to make a covenant to give the land as his possession ( Gen 15:18).
4 I will not know a wicked person.
5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.
7 He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.
The last member of 4th generation of Israel's army was admitted to its ranks the day before the Passover in the 490th year after God appeared to Abraham, which was the first Passover celebrated in Hebron after Caleb took possession of it. Only Jesus stands for the children of thy people. Jesus, the great I AM.
Isaiah lists 26 names for our LORD.
It's so nice to be chatting with people who obviously love Jesus and yearn to see him. The land is barren where I live.
Blessings to you!

Hi Bennymkje,
Well, it depends on whose side is being asked that question.
For the Catholic rulers and its antichrist system, the crusades were a great success.
By now, everyone has heard of Free Masons, Illuminati, Adam Weishaupt, Rosicrucian, etc etc etc. The war against our LORD is intense.
But, like Moses said, the LORD is a man of war. Ex 15:3. Our LORD is commander of the host.
"Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?/ Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?/If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children,"

You know, I just read Micah 4 recently, and that looks a lot like the millennial reign.
Maybe take a look at that, and tell me what you think.
