Yes, you've answered all my questions. Thank you so much for that. I do have a couple more questions though. You mentioned a "Masochistic text" twice. I don't think there is such a thing. Are you are referring to the Masoretic Text? Masochistic has to do with masochism.
You mention a "pure English version for mankind." I am assuming you believe that version to be the KJB? We know that the last book of the bible was written around 95AD. No other prophecy or scripture has been written after that. So, between 95AD and 1611 when the King James was published, if we believe that God has kept His word pure, and with there being other English bibles that were used by English speaking believers before 1611 (before the KJB), why would you not hold the same view of those bibles as you do the KJB? Would it be feasible to believe any of the bibles that preceded the KJB were pure English versions?
Your answer to my question about how a person knows right from wrong got me to thinking. I asked if it was the bible or God's Spirit that convicts a person (believer or non-believer) of right or wrong. I was thinking God's Spirit alone, but you said both. After thinking about it, and the example you shared, what you said makes sense and I agree. However, you described a man who is unsaved, and his conscience is bothering him enough that he looks to God for help and what God says about what is troubling him. You also said that you just hope he uses the KJB. (I did get a chuckle out of that one!)
But my question to you is; if an unsaved man is involved in sin and is convicted of his sin, and his conscience is bothering him enough to where he looks to God for help, why would he need a bible at all? Would he even know where to look? Would he even be able to understand what he is reading in his natural state?
Why is the NASB included in the parallel options? It's missing entire verses, and you know what Revelation 22.18-19 says about removing things:
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
This didn't used to be an option. This is a very sneaky way of corrupting the Word.

If you would please pray for my return to The LORD and healing for my backsliding, body and entire being as well as my health I would appreciate it. If you would please pray for my deliverance from any oppression, bondages, or strongholds of the enemy that I am under. Please pray for the softening of my heart to The LORD. Please pray for my deliverance and protection from the devil and my enemies and that The LORD will fight for me. Please pray that whatever the devil and my enemies are trying to do against me is exposed and fails. Please pray for The LORD's provision of my spiritual and material needs in my life, and for His help through the trials I am going through. Thank you all and God bless you.
This is going to be a bit repetitive but repition can be a very good thing, I think.
When considering any question from scripture, we MUST approach it from the vantage point that Christ, God Himself, is the author of the ENTIRE Bible. And, in the original languages, every word in the Bible is from the very mind and mouth of Christ Himelf.
No one would argue, I hope, that the words of Jesus recorded for us in the Bible that He spoke while on earth are indeed from the very mind and mouth of Christ Himself. Or that when we read "thus saith the LORD", that the words associated with that phrase are indeed from the very mind amd mouth of God Himself.
But what about every word that Luke or Paul or Jeremiah or Amos wrote, or any other word that the human scribes wrote in the Bible? Are they from the very mind and mouth of God Himself and carry exactly the same authority and weight as any word declared to have been spoken by Christ Himself, God Himself?
Indeed they do! "For the prophrcy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." 2 Peter 1:21 and "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" 2 Timothy 3:16.
So therefore we must compare scripture with scripture, throughout the ENTIRE Bible, with the mind set that every word, every verse, every chapter in the ENTIRE Bible is from the mind and mouth of God Himself, if we hope to come to truth about any doctrine or practice that we claim to be from the Bible. Any thing less will lead us further away from truth.
My husband and I have been watching a show on tv about demonic spirits and spirits in old houses and they have things that they can hear them talk and speak to them and things fall and happen is there such a thing as spirits or our souls being left behind or left because of unfinished business on earth?

Hello to you Jackalope , it may take a few days before anyone is able to help you with your questions , you could also check out the question and answer sections and search through the topics , your questions may have come up previously and already have been discussed . There are hundreds of previous messages on this site that are just as relevant and informative as the most recent ones . There is a lot of good stuff on here if you go back into the previous pages . Happy hunting .
I am not a great scholar of all of the Bible being of a humble disposition - however I have been taught by 2 good teachers of the Bible about the meaning of this verse and all the other verses after I had counselling and support through a bereavement of my wife.
The Jehovah's Witness explained the Bible was written over 1600 years, comprising 66 books. THE ORIGINAL SOURCE - the language spoken in those times was Hebrew (old Testament) and Greek (new Testament). The Hebrew alphabet has 22 letters, and the 4 used for God or Lord are the 4 symbols "####" In fact, #### is written some 7000 times in The Bible.
Your local Jehovah's Witness representative in your area can fully explain this information.
They will be able to illustrate this point.
Background :-
Some 3 years ago I started under the instruction of my local Jehovah's Witness tutors who have been teachers for over 40 years. This is entirely voluntary.
However my tuition has taught me about the history of The Bible, as its provenance is crucial for interpretation. Here we use the King James Bible V - but there are many others in use throughout the world.
Jehavah's Witness use the NEW WORLD TRANSLATION - OF THE - HOLY SCRIPTURES
Many follow the tradition of Jesus being crucified on Friday called Good Friday. Jesus fulfilled the Passover and is our Passover so if we look in Exodus 12:3-6 the lamb was taken up on the 10th of Nisan and killed on the 14th in the evening before sunset.
Passover day is one day it is a preparation day for the Feast of Unleavened Bread and is separate from the 7-day feast of the Feast of Unleavened Bread which is 7 days from the 15th to the 21st. Today as back then some call it either Passover or the Feast of Unleavened Bread and is 8 days, you can look at a calendar and you will see Passover is 8 days.
If we look at John 12:1-12 it is 6 days before Passover and the next day Jesus rode into Jerusalem, that would be 5 days before Passover making it the 10th that is called today Palm Sunday. This is the day the lambs were to be taken up that is the reason the money changers were there they were selling lambs and other animals for sacrifice to all the people who traveled to Jerusalem for Passover.
So, if Sunday, the first day of the week was the 10th and Passover day when the lambs were sacrificed, Thursday would be the 14th. When Jesus told them to go and prepare the upper room was on Wednesday and when the sunset it would be the beginning of Passover day when the Last Supper. The Last Supper was not a Passover meal because the lambs were not killed until the afternoon of that same day.
We see John 19:14 is the preparation of the Passover, that is Passover day the 14th, Thursday when Jesus was crucified, and He died at 3 PM the same time they were sacrificing the Passover lambs that would have been eaten that night the 15th the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
The Jewish day starts at sundown, the Last Supper was at the beginning of Passover day the 14th and Jesus was crucified the morning of the same day, died at 3 PM the same day, and was buried before the sun set the same day the 14th, Thursday.
Looks like I'll have to go away for a while to get things resolved with parents so others can help them get the medical help they need. I'll probably have to leave this laptop at home since my mom's computer has acted up lately and I want to continue some form of communication which I can get on my cell phone. I plan to leave late tonight. Thankfully I have a friend out of state i can stay with for a time. Won't be able to log in without password; maybe and will be preoccupied for a week or two at least.
The quotes and communication between God and man stated in the Bible are not always verbal. Jonah praying from the belly of the great fish for instance, is cited by the Spirit truthfully because as St Paul says, I shall cite 22 passages,
Ro.8
" But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his./And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness."
" Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered./And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God."
Testimony of three must be true.
I am just leaving for my vacation and shall be happy to take up the thread of discussion , with joy and peace in him
The Old Testament Saints were given the same promise as those of the house of David are given today:
IMMORTAL LIFE
The Old Testament Saints could not receive that promise because Christ, the resurrection, had not yet come to fulfill the prophecies.
They DIED not yet receiving the promise, immortal life.
Hebrews 11:39 And all these, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
Hebrews 11:40 God having something BETTER for us, that they (the saints of old) without us should not be made perfect (the image of Christ, being resurrected with Christ as ONE FLESH).
The 144,000 are those OLD SAINTS, from the twelve tribes of Israel, the first fruits of his resurrection, we are a kind of first fruit, also being resurrected with Christ.
Zachariah 12:7 The LORD also shall SAVE (give immortal life) to the house of JUDAH FIRST (the 144,00), that the GLORY of the house of David and Jerusalem doth not magnify THEMSELVES against the the house of Judah.

Hello Bennymkje. Just to clarify, I am not a KJB Online Moderator nor representing a denomination. I am, as you, S. Spencer and most others here, simply believers & lovers of the Word of God who want to help others with their questions or provide input for consideration and discussion. What we have done (as any other who wishes to do here) is to provide an answer to Tdianne's question, which we have done as from God's Word. Now, whether our answer is incorrect, according to your own belief & you then provide your own answer, is for Tdianne to discern, study & digest. So, that is one side of this thread: to answer Tdianne. The other side is whether there should be a further discussion between us on the issues that arise resulting from our often very different biblical hermeneutics.
I could use any of your submissions as examples, but just taking a quick one from this comment: "Did he (St. John) hear with his physical ears or with the ear of faith?" My answer would be a clear, "with his physical ears". Why? Because the Scriptures tell us so ( Revelation 7:1 "I SAW four angels"; Revelation 7:4 "I HEARD the number"). John believed the vision he saw & the words he heard were real, & not just in a dream, a trance or wishful thinking. Now, if you believe that this understanding is incorrect & yours is correct (i.e. 'God isn't giving news of the physical earth and gossip about who shall make the list', etc.), then the burden of proof rests with you as to how you arrive at your conclusion, for clearly that is not what the Word gives us. If John heard "with the ear of faith", how was this faith exercised, when he stated that his vision & hearing were actually real? I realize that "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen", but did John express such faith here when the vision & the words given to him did not require faith to believe that they were real, but only to receive & record it for us?
All the things you just ask for, has he not already given these things to you?
Isaiah 59:21 As for me (God), this is my (God's) covenant with THEM, saith the Lord, My Spirit that is upon thee (Christ), and my (God's) WORDS which I have put in thy (Christ's) mouth, Shall not depart out of thy (Christ's) mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy (Christ's) SEED, nor out of the mouth of thy (Christ's) SEEDS SEED, saith the Lord, from henceforth and forever.
Psalms 12:4 Who (mankind) have said, With our tongue we shall prevail; our LIPS ARE OUR OWN: who is Lord over us?
Mark 10:8 And they twain shall be ONE FLESH: so they are NO MORE TWAIN, but ONE FLESH.
S Spencer, Thank you for the comment about the 144000 going to heaven. As a child, I read that and it has stuck with me till today. It scared me thinking that even thought Im a child of God only 144000 would go to heaven. Thank you for clearing that up.

Faith is like a battery cable
The Trinity or Holy family in general, is like a Powerstation or huge battery
a person is like a light fixture
in this chptr. a girl knew all she had to do was touch Jesus;s clothing, thru Faith,to transmit the power
when she did,was exactly like a battery cable or a wire Touching/Connecting to a Power source or battery
Completing the Connection
Jesus said he felt his power go out of him.and said to the girl, One important thing
'Your Faith has made thee whole' it was the Power cable of Faith that made the connection
to the Power source
Faith is the connection that turns the lights on
Why is this?
I am going to come straight to the point
