God created man after "our image and after our likeness". After our image explains tripartite nature of soul spirit and body and these perform as one. So Moses exhorts, "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord." Next verse refers the three, "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."(De.6:4-5). With all thy might refers to our work which is the body. Soul, spirit and body is implied there.
"After our likeness" refers love which links man with the Being. How well should we love? With all our might. The Word was with God. Love of God links with Jesus Christ the Man who became flesh. So in what ways we may love God is explained from 'after our likeness. So Jesus is the bread from heaven. His broken body as significance as partakers of the Holly Communion." Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day."( John 6:54) The Spirit explains the holy life by setting these two aspects of the Being. ( John 1:1)
To note, in verse 8, the original language omits "And there are three that bear witness in earth". It is understood that the translators interpolated this part of verse 8 from the understanding of verse 6. That the witness of Jesus on Earth was given by three: the Holy Spirit, through Jesus' Baptism inaugurating His Ministry, & the witness of the Cross in His shedding of His Blood for us.
As there are three witnesses of Jesus' Coming agreeing to the same matter & purpose, so too is the record of witness in Heaven. And that witness is from our Father God, from God's Word Who was made Flesh, & from the self-same Spirit of God. So we are comforted & assured of the Spirit's Witness in Heaven & on Earth that Jesus as Man was no ordinary Man, but that His Coming was from the very Person of God & Jesus' Life was the Sacrifice of God Himself given to redeem sinful man who had no hope of securing freedom from guilt & damnation. Blessings to you Everett as you continue to study & meditate on this precious Word of God.
Hello Everett and welcome to this Site. You're certainly doing the right thing by contributing to our discussions & hope to hear more from you; and speaking for myself, I do enjoy reading other people's perceptions that they receive from God's Holy Word.
Yes, we do see the triune aspect of man in the Bible as we also see of the LORD God, yet we acknowledge that we don't fully comprehend the mystery of such natures. We can certainly overlook our proper understanding/division of man's soul & spirit & just leave that it in God's Hands, but when it comes to God's Nature, we really need to get it right, for so much of Who God is, His Love, His Mercy towards sinners and Saving Work in the lives of men, depend on it.
As you thought of 1 Thessalonians 5:23-28 observing the three-part nature of man & this aspect revealed of the LORD God, my mind turned to 1 John 5:6-8:
"This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one". Onto Page 2.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:/(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)/Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"
"And bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" is to all intent and purpose is to put on the mind of Christ. This was spelt out in the Sermon on the Mount. "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Perfection is one single word to define the mind of God. Holy is his name.
Jesus was among them as the Word made flesh. He sat with publicans and sinners but he did no sin and knew no sin. For those who wanted him to be involved in their personal quarrels he simply told them off. "Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?" In his doctrine he set forth the perfection of his Father who sent the rain on the unjust as well as the just. He also said,"And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also."(5:40; Luke 12:13). In the way he obeyed his Father naturally he was like his Father; and in his perfect submission on the cross he established the same mind and same holiness so his name was more excellent than all other names.
"And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man."( John 2:25)
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;/That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven." Those who are your enemies show the quality of their father while if you have the mind of Christ you shall do just well as he did. It is what putting on Christ signifies.
I thought I would let you know that I said a short prayer on the subject after reading of your multiple issues. I suppose things are interconnected and yet individual issues; in brief I am praying the Spirit of God moves on you and the things of this world; as scripture states becomes strangely dim.
I will as usual put a few ideas and thoughts out there; and I would appreciate it if I am way off the mark to say so; it is just the mode of communication I am used to in attempting to reach out. I am trying to put some feelers out there to get a better grasp on your request.
My first thought is how if we are (and I will make that assumption) a true believer then we are not of this world; and therefore all the struggles with our past issues are involved with what remains of the old man still in its death throws.
The second concept is that if we are saved we recognize in moments we are sensing His presence that what instigates the pull toward our former self is started by the enemy (one of Satan's emmisaries) most of the time. There are of course things which we may choose to dwell on and don't rebuke immediately. Whether it is our own deception or something the enemy plants; of course it is only the power of sin that leads to death and gives the enemy any legal recourse by God Himself to afflict us.
So as to your new self; I pray for a particular sense of calling and mission that He will make clear to you through interactions with others. May you dwell richly in His grace as you go through your daily routine; and may He show you how to prioritize time for devotionals as well as in your vocation to be most productive.
Finally; if you don't have good fellowship or the Lord calls you elsewhere may it be clear; may you find a good place of worship especially as we see the Day drawing near of His appearance.
Let me know any other specific things I can pray about.
Luke 2:28 - Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
So, Simeon takes Jesus up in his arms, and blessed God. Again, here is the word EULOGEO, for eulogy, speaking well of God, giving God praise and thanks for this baby.
Luke 2:47 - And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
Now the word astonished in the Greek text means to be struck out of your mind, to be mad, to be beside yourself. They were so astonished they were beside themselves. They couldn't contain themselves. They were saying I don't believe this. This is a 12-year-old kid.
And then it says, "Behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing." The word sorrow in the Greek means to grieve with pain. They were frantic!
Where is their son, 12 years old? And he is wandering all over, and there were millions of people in Jerusalem. Who knows who might have kidnapped Him?
Luke 4:1 - And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
It tells us that Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit when he returned from the Jordan. After He was baptized, He returned from the Jordan, and he was full of the Holy Spirit. This word "full" in Greek doesn't mean full as in opposite of empty, but full as in the influence.
For instance, the Greek word in the book of Acts when the various disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit at various times, it means the Holy Spirit took over their human faculties. He filled their human faculties. There are times when the Holy Spirit is there. He is always in us, and He is always active, but he is not always using our human faculties to minister to others.
Luke 1:52 - He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.
The words "low degree" comes from the word TAPEINOS which means humbleness. This is something else we don't get from our English text. The humble will be exalted!
Luke 1:54 - He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;
Holpen is the word helped or supported.
Luke 1:68 - Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
He says in Verse 68, blessed be, and again this is the word EULOGEO, to speak well of. I point this out because we see the word "blessed" used several times in our English text, but we are not going to get the true meaning of the word unless we know that there are different words in the Greek for our word blessed.
Luke 2:7 - And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
That is a title, firstborn, the one who inherits. It also tells us, as the other Gospel writers have, that she had more children after Jesus.
And then it says, "wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger. Here it is literally: "wrapped him in linen cloth and laid him in a feeding trough."
Luke 2:13 - And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Now right here in the original language, there was an angel speaking and then all of a sudden, the entire sky was filled with angels that accompanied this angel.
Luke 2:14 - Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Here is the literal translation from the Greek. "And upon the earth, peace towards men of goodwill. That is to say those who have a good response to God. It is telling us that God's peace will be on those who have a good heart and a good response to Him.
Luke 1:45 - And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
This word blessed here is different from the same word used in Luke 1:42. The word here is MAKARIA, which is the feminine form, and it means to experience the fullness of something. The first two words in Luke 1:42 for blessing were to speak well of or to speak good about, but this one here means to experience the fullness.
This is something we don't catch in our English bibles.
Luke 1:47 - And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
The word rejoiced is not the normal Greek word. This is the word for celebration, the same word as Hannah started off in 1 Samuel 2:1, when Hannah prayed and said "My heart rejoiceth.
Again, that's the word celebration, in the Lord. My horn is exalted in the LORD. My mouth is enlarged over my enemies, because I rejoice, I celebrate, in Thy salvation. So, both women begin their songs with celebration.
But look what Mary says in the content in Verse 47. My spirit celebrates in whom? God my Savior! She has an awareness already that she needs a Savior. That means that she has an awareness that she's a sinner and needs a Savior just like everyone else does.
Please keep that in mind about Mary. We don't want to put her down, but we want her put her in her place and realize that she is blessed among women, but she is still a sinner like you and I, and she needs a Savior.
Luke 1:48 - For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
She says, for he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: Handmaiden is the word DOULAE, the feminine form of DOULOS for servant (or slave).
Luke 1:35 - And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
You may not see anything wrong in this verse, but I believe this is a very bad translation. It should read the Holy One, not "holy thing," because he is making reference to the child (Jesus) conceived. Jesus should never be referred to as a "thing!"
Luke 1:39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;
As I mentioned previously, when you see the phrase "those days" in scripture, it is talking about feasting, festivals, or feast days. Anytime you see that phrase in the gospels "in those days" it is a tip off to you that these are the feast days. Not just any old day, but the feast days.
Luke 1:42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
This particular section, Luke 1:42-45, is an official title in literature and is called beatitude, the beatitude of Elizabeth, because of the word blessed. There are three blessings that are mentioned in her song in Verses 42 through 45. In Greek literature, it is called the beatitude of Elizabeth, and she pronounces three blessings.
First of all, she said blessed are you among women. Notice that it doesn't say blessed are you above women, but among women. And blessed is the fruit of your womb. These two words for "blessed" mean to speak well of. It comes from the Greek word EULOGEO.
It is not a pronouncement of a blessing on somebody. It is to speak well of them. It is to thank God for them. You are blessed, and the fruit of your womb, and she's speaking well of that.
Luke 1:11 - And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
So, Zacharias goes in, and an angel of the Lord had been standing on the right side of the altar of incense. Notice how I read that "had been standing." In the Greek, it is in the Perfect Tense. That means the angel was there.
He didn't just appear suddenly; he had been standing there. It is just that Zacharias didn't know it. But when he revealed himself to Zacharias, and when he saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. Well, that is saying it lightly. Poor guy!
Luke 1:17 - And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the
Lord.
If you are using the King James, it is giving you the literal English translation of the Greek Elias. But he is talking about Elijah.
Luke 1:18 - And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.
It sounds very poetical but in the Greek text it's literally "according to what shall I know this" KARATI NOUSOMAI TOUTO. According to what shall I know this? Basically, what he is saying is how do I know you are telling me the truth? Give me a sign.
Luke 1:23 - And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.
This is one of those verses we read and it's like what in the world does that mean, "the days of his ministration were accomplished?"
This means that his course (ministry) was finished for the week, and he departed to his own home.
Adam and Eve were in a sinless state before disobeying God's commandement. The angels are also in a sinless condition, but this didn't prevent satan and others from revolting against God. We don't know whether Adam and Eve were having, as well as the angels are having, God's Spirit in them, do we? But the way I understand it is that even if one has the Spirit without measure in them they still have a free will and can still disobey God if this is what they want to do. Our free will is not affected by God's Spirit. We can still do what we want and choose to do. (this why we can meet christians who do not have a fruit in their life, and this is because they don't give room in their heart to the Spirit). So even Jesus who as a man had the Spirit without measure could had chosen to quit His struggle against satan while he was hanging on the cross. He was feeling the same pain and agony as any other human person and He could had quited. He could have said, "I can not stand it any more, let me stop the whole thing here." The Spirit could not affect such a decision. And He would had canceled God's plan for salvation. On the cross was where He fought against satan without being in any superior state than any other human being.
Now back to the original question. Can somebody who has God's Spirit in them without measure be tempted to sin? Well my answer is yes, they can still choose not to obey God. So for Jesus it was a matter of decision, to obey God and go all the way to the end or stop. Well I don't want to go further on because I feel I am walking on an unkown path. I may be wrong and change my mind later on. GBU
Please pray for my return to The LORD; healing for my backsliding and body. Please pray for The LORD to turn me again unto Him and to soften my heart. Please pray that He helps me through the trials I am going through and for His protection and deliverance from my enemies. Please pray for my deliverance from any and all bondages and strongholds from the enemy that I am under. Please pray that The LORD provides for all my spiritual, material, and financial needs. Thank you.
Welcome David Jones. Good to have you here on this site with us today.
My husband's family once hailed from Lantwitt Major on the Bristol Channel. They were not original of Welsh descent being from Normandy but the person who first lived in Landoff, Wales was the first Norman Bishop Urban. He married a Welsh woman, daughter of Gruffydd. His descendants settled in Lantwitt Major and some remained there until the 1600's. From there they went to Sedgeborrow, Eng. and then to Massachussets Bay Colony as among some of the first settlers there in the 1630's. Many of this person's relatives also settled in Fair Haven, CT, in New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Virginia, Rhode Island during the 1600's.
The area of South Wales is very beautiful from what I have gathered.
May You be very blessed today and be spiritually enriched in your participation on this forum with us. I will pray for the salvation of all your family.
I can agree with you that Jesus was using Scripture to address the temptations the devil was bringing to Him. But I believe that Jesus is the author of Scripture and was therefore being addressing the devil with the Scripture to chastise Him and refute Him.
Even though we differ in how we view this Scripture, it is good that we can speak to one another on this forum with kindness and concern for one another.
I hope your day is going very well. I am recovering from a minor foot surgery, so in a boot. Clunk. clunk! Going to try to drive with it today, but I may need to remove it to drive. Hopefully I can not need it come Monday after I see the doctor.
I'm sorry I spoke in error, I use the KJV standard on here not the KJV 1611. I don't know why there is a discrepancy in our discussion, however it really doesn't matter, we all know who Jesus is.
I did want to give some more info on the other version of the 1611 bible. After the first printing several other printings were needed to correct spelling and typo errors but the actual translation was never changed, that remained the exact same one as the Holy Spirit had given it to the translators. The final revision of typo errors ONLY was done in 1789 but it has always been called the King James 1611 Bible because the translation by the group of Holy Ghost inspired, godly men was never revised. So I guess you could say I'm using the 1789 version but I still call it the KJV 1611 Bible because it is true to the translation done.Thank you for bringing this up, it encouraged me to learn more about the history of my Bible. If you are wondering why there were typo errors to
being with, you'll have to ask God when you see Him.
I feel like I am going back to our previous discussion which I don't want to do, I hope you don't either. God Bless :)
"Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined. Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: A fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. He shall call to the heavens from above, And to the earth, that he may judge his people."
Here we have what restores order so all seven days in the eternal covenant are restored. This restoration has God in all, where God and His creation, both in heaven and on earth are in repose. The Psalm sets the question, "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?"(Ps.11:3)
New heaven and the new earth are proof of this eternal life in Christ Jesus: we are his workmanship. What was shakeable was sloughed off us so what is eternal may remain. The twelve thrones are called inheritance in the context Jesus refers to them. " Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel./And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life."(Matt.19:28-29) everyone that hath followed him for 'my name's sake' explains the abiding in Christ would signifies. He lived an overcoming life because the name of Jesus was more excellent than everything else. "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;/And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Ph.2:9-11) The 'little ones' 12 in number merely represent the cloud of witnesses that forsook the glory of the world for his name's sake. The 12 signifies the Gospel. The fulness of God was in Christ by which the volume of every little one signified that they are priests and kings 'forever'. (Re.1:6) '
The Day of the Lord arrived, the 7th and last Day,or 7th and last millennium. There are many things to happen from now on
according to the Word of GOD.As all of us know, the Word of GOD is from everlasting to everlasting, the Word is GOD,GOD Himself,self-executing,so the most important thing to be LITERALLY fulfilled now is the establishment of GOD's Kingdom, understand?which was preached by our Lord around 2000 years ago to establish it in this time:Hoseas 6:2-3 and 1Corinthians 15:24-27 and Revelation 11:15-18,take a look, there are many biblical references.
The main focus now,and from now on,is the establishment of GOD's Kingdom preached by our Lord JESUS Christ as said Paul Apostle: Philippians 3:20-21
20For our conversation is in heaven(heaven? Ephesians 1:3-8);from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.-->Is this promise OK for you,is it in your remembrance/mind?
2Timothy 2:4-5
4No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who has chosen him to be a soldier.-->(or to
please the One who enlisted him to the war--> Revelation 12:7-12).
5And if a man also strive for masteries(dominion),yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully-->by the Word of GOD: Hebrews 4:9-13)
Revelation 11:15-18
15-...The kingdoms of this world are become the Kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ;and He shall reign for ever and ever.
...
18-And the NATIONS were(will be)angry, and GOD's WRATH is come...(GOD's WRATH comes upon all the NATIONS,get ready not to suffer GOD's WRATH,but to receive glorious rewards as says the verse)
Ro.8:18-19
18I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us
19For the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of GOD
Hello David Jones of North Wales and may God bless you ! I recently did my DNA ethnicity with a well known genetic information provider . I discovered that 12 per cent of me is Celtic and that I have strong genetic ties to Gwynedd in Wales . I've never been there but I hope to make that trip some day . I've had a look on the web and it looks like a beautiful place .
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
Before ordained is what the Bible begins with. "In the beginning" God has designated places, for you and me, for every blade of grass, fruit bearing trees and marine life. How marine life moves into landwards or land animals took to aquatic living are also foreseen beforehand. How man should walk in the manner God has willed for him owe to what God in essence is. He is Wisdom and Power which establishes an order to which all life forms shall move. As God has ordained us so has He ordained this creation also to walk. God made man as His steward (Ge.1:28) who is after 'our image and after our likeness' so the man so designated for his generation is an intercessor. One man's disobedience upset this order. Where justice is wanting it is a sure sign that the world is out of joint. "And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.:(Is.59:16)
"All the foundations of the earth are out of course." (Ps.82:5b;11:3).In terms of the covenant it would be the seven days are at odds with one another. For this reason Jesus Christ was manifested to destroy the works of the devil. (1 Jon 3:8)
As His workmanship do we work according to what we think as good or according the will of God? "Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is." (1 Co.3:13)
As a steward man failed His creation. Only in Christ our workmanship can restore the balance."Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God./ For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now."(Ro.8:21-22)
Hi Gigi , hope you are having a great day in the Lord today .I personally do not believe that Jesus was identifying himself as God in Luke 4 : 12 . I believe that , as with the previous temptations that satan puts before him , he is using scripture to ward off the temptations .Therefore Jesus is saying : no , I will not throw myself off of this pinnacle just to see if God will stop me from hurting myself . Also please notice that satan himself , refers to Jesus as the Son of God in verse 3 as well as verse 9 .
How that was helpful to you . It's a lesson for us all , that we should not knowingly put ourselves in danger whilst automatically expecting God to intervene . May God bless you Gigi .
Praying for her to make a tip to toes FULL recovery from everything that you have asked for Alina, and it be heared in throneroom and acted on as soon as The Lord is ready , take comfort that He is never early BUT GOD is never late either :-)
Blessings and Prayers for your endurance through all this and all esles afected by this

Good morning. I am new here and I hope I am doing the right thing by responding to your post that reminded me of 1 Thessalonians 5:23-28 in which we read of our own triune nature.
"And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."
As we are made in the immage of God, and are body, soul and spirit while being one person, then likewise we worship ONE God, who is also body, soul and spirit and has appeared in the flesh in both the Old and New Testaments.
"Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever./The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted."
Quality of this generation is mentioned in the next verse. The wicked and adulterous generation. Jesus gave us an example,, "A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign."(Matt.16:4). In our time all we need look on the business section of news media and see how the bulls and bears run amok on Wall street. So much so stock prices become a sign for Wall street traders to to bet on the politics of the nation. It just shows the wicked generations place their soul on such signs that has no foundation on truth. Meme stock of Trump's social media company hits all time high or plunges without the company generating any worthwhile revenue. It is how the ungodly bring down the millions whose sweat and blood for making a seasonable living for themselves and their families are put to serious risk. We are witnesses to global economic meltdown in our own generation. Yet such signs are laughed off by those business czars whose compulsive risk-taking bodes no good. It is no wonder. The wicked are looked up to as men with bold vision and their wealth as a virtue. The vilest men may even write the art of the deal and make bid for more glory.
The psalm begins with a cry,"Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men./They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak."
"Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?" ( 12:1-4).
"Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast."(Is.26:20). "For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him."(v.5)
You write, " Sometimes we may not understand the whys but we have to take it simply as it written. My opinion." I fully agree . It is not an opinion but truth. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD."(Is.55:8). The Bible is the God document and is four instruction in righteousness. When we say we are good by nature and do good we speak from our own view. It is like describing what is above without ever leaving the house. Whereas God has a complete picture. So faith is the only way. Our righteousness is like filthy rags.
And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the Lord, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land./So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake".
Healing the land and healing of nations are held together by the river of time. Elisha having a double portion of his mentor stands now as the double for Jesus Christ. Healing of the land with the new cruze of salt foreshadows indwelling Spirit and it signals a believer as a vessel unto honour. "And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles."( Mark 2:22).
Elisha standing as a double performed this miracle according the word. So his authority is of the Word made flesh. "Thus saith the Lord" is backed by the tag 'unto this day'. Blessings from the waters above the firmament we see at the waters of Marah, "And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet."(Ex.15:25) The cruze of salt and tree are thus physical objects pointing out to the cross and the baptism of the Spirit. Blessing promised under the covenant make use of the physical world for a single purpose. To lead a believer to the rest of God. This healing of the land leads to the new earth. The healing of nations is in context of the tree of life and for the saved nations on the earth. "And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb./In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." (Re.22:1-2)
Our Lord JESUS maked this very clear, saying: John 14:1-3
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in GOD, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Matthew 25:31-34 and 41&46
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Get ready-> Acts 14:22
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the RIGHTEOUS into life ETERNAL.( Romans 2:7-11.Take a look)
Revelation 20:4
4-And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them( Revelation 11:16-17), and Judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the Word of GOD, and which had not worshipped the Beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
The most important thing is to be with Him, no matter where or in what place, the problem is to be cast into the fire of hell.--> Matthew 10:28-take a look.
I agree with you that our all powerful God can give his spirit to a vessel and make him a sinless being.
But that sinless being
/Vessel would still be born of Adam and can only inherit what Adam has to offer. Death!
Adam was "MADE" a living soul, He didn't become one!
A living soul could never give life even if he was sinless.
Christ was a quickening (Life giving) Spirit. He didn't have to become one. HE WAS, AND "IS ONE"
Only the Son of God can make us Sons of God.
Any other person wouldn't be a Son of God!
Jesus had no Earthly Father.
So we should consider these scriptures to perhaps understand "Why a Son?"
Galatians 4:4-6.
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
To redeem them that were under the law, THAT WE MIGHT RECEIVE THE ADOPTION OF SONS.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
John 1:12-13.
But as many as received him, TO THEM GAVE HE POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD, EVEN TO THEM THAT BELIEVE ON HIS NAME:
WHICH WERE BORN, ((NOT OF BLOOD, NOR OF THE WILL OF THE FLESH, NOR OF THE WILL OF MAN)), ""BUT OF GOD"".
Romans 8:19-23. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
In His Service; Rich P
Luke 1:54 - He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;
Luke 1:39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;
Luke (Part 1):
GBU
Good to hear from you, Jaz
(Re.1:6) '
according to the Word of GOD.As all of us know, the Word of GOD is from everlasting to everlasting, the Word is GOD,GOD Himself,self-executing,so the most important thing to be LITERALLY fulfilled now is the establishment of GOD's Kingdom, understand?which was preached by our Lord around 2000 years ago to establish it in this time:Hoseas 6:2-3 and 1Corinthians 15:24-27 and Revelation 11:15-18,take a look, there are many biblical references.
How that was helpful to you . It's a lesson for us all , that we should not knowingly put ourselves in danger whilst automatically expecting God to intervene . May God bless you Gigi .
Blessings and Prayers for your endurance through all this and all esles afected by this

May God bless his word.
Get ready-> Acts 14:22
GOD BLESS
God bless.
