“As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;”
King James Version (KJV)
6:9 As unknown - For the world knoweth us not, as it knew him not. Yet well known - To God, and to those who are the seals of our ministry. As dying, yet behold - Suddenly, unexpectedly, God interposes, and we live.
2Co 6:9 As unknown, and [yet] well known. Obscure in the great, indifferent world, but well known in the church and to God. As dying, and, behold, we live. Always exposed to death, and yet preserved, and having eternal life. As chastened, and not killed. See Ps 118:18. Though many a blow fell upon him, his life was spared.
