4In God I will praise his worde, In God I haue put my trust, I will not feare what flesh can doe vnto me. 5Euery day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against mee for euill. 6They gather themselues together; they hide themselues, they marke my steps when they wait for my soule. 7Shall they escape by iniquitie? in thine anger cast downe the people, O God. 8Thou tellest my wanderings, put thou my teares into thy bottle: are they not in thy booke?

56:6 They gather - After they have severally employed their thoughts against me, they meet together to compare them, and to put them in execution. Hide - They lurk secretly, that they may pry into my most private actions. Steps - That they may find some occasion to reproach me. Soul - Or, life, to take it away.
