4I also will chuse their delusions, and will bring their feares vpon them; because when I called, none did answere, when I spake they did not heare: but they did euill before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not. 5¶ Heare the word of the Lord, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my Names sake, sayd, Let the Lord be glorified: but he shal appeare to your ioy, and they shalbe ashamed. 6A voice of noyse from the city, a voice from the Temple, a voice of the Lord, that rendreth recompense to his enemies. 7Before she trauailed, she brought foorth: before her paine came, shee was deliuered of a man childe. 8Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seene such things? shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day, or shall a nation be borne at once? for as soone as Zion traueiled, shee brought foorth her children.

Wesley's Notes for Isaiah 66:6
66:6 A voice - The expression of a prophetical extasy, as if he said, I hear a sad and affrighting noise; it comes not from the city only, but from the temple, wherein these formalists have so much gloried. There is a noise of soldiers slaying, and of the poor people shrieking or crying out. Of the Lord - A voice of the Lord, not in thunder, but that rendereth recompence to his enemies. Thus he seems to express the destruction of the Jews by the Roman armies, as a thing at that time doing.
