25I, euen I am hee that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine owne sake, and will not remember thy sinnes. 26Put mee in remembrance: let vs plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest bee iustified. 27Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers haue transgressed against mee. 28Therefore I haue profaned the princes of the Sanctuarie, and haue giuen Iacob to the curse, and Israel to reproches.

43:27 Thy father - This may be put for their forefathers; and so he tells them, that as they were sinners, so also were their progenitors, yea even the best of them. Teachers - Thy priests and prophets; who were their intercessors with God: and if these were transgressors, the people had no reason to fancy themselves innocent.
