If we believe all that Jesus and the Prophets and Apostles said, then there cannot be any confusion about the end of the world and the catching away of the Saints at the Lord's coming. The whole doctrine of a PRE 7 years tribulation rapture, and somehow those who are left THEN repenting, is completely unscriptural fantasy! The Scripture says they WON'T! "HE THAT ENDURES TO THE END SHALL BE SAVED!"
  • Dick Cole on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 7 years ago
The Holy Scripture of God Almighty stands as written. How can anyone doubt and try to change what is God Almighty's word!!!!....Accept it as written....

Verse 11: This verse gives excellent advice on how we should live our lives. Minding our own business can help us to focus on ourselves and make any needed improvements.
  • Ray321 on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 7 years ago
1 Thessalonians 4:16, Jesus will shout with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God, to meet the saved believers in the Lord dead or alive in the clouds. This is the Rapture that will happen first, then the 7 year tribulation will start. The second coming of Jesus the Angels will sound the great trumpet, Matthew 24:31, and the Angels will snatch away the wicked, Matthew 23:41-43.
  • Ray321 on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 7 years ago
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: This is one of the mystery that Paul explains, the Rapter. Now the 7 year tribulation is a another event, they will be a snatching away of the wicked. Both are different.

Dear Sharron Pettis; I think there is a lot of 'unnecessary' misunderstanding about the Day of the LORD, and the Catching Away of the Saints. We have been told abundantly by the Lord, that we are appointed to tribulation and trial while we are here, till He comes. For us it is a mark of son-ship that we may be changed into our Father's image and likeness. For the ungodly it is a foretaste of hell.
  • Sharron Pettis on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 7 years ago
Everyone is having difficulty with this, especially the rapture! Is He coming to take believers in the twinkling of an eye OR NOT? I was brought up having been taught YES. Now everyone putting a different spin on it all! Who can know which interpretation is correct?!?!? I thought we were not appointed to wrath and no these are saying it's so! What is the truth and does everyone just see it

hi been hearing this passage all my life its real Jesus is coming back soon fact
  • Saint on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 7 years ago
Verse 17 and 18 in this passage reminds us that one day Christ is coming again, and bringing the saved with him. We need to keep serving our Lord until he comes to bring us home.
  • A disciple on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 7 years ago
"For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord..." Whether by word of knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures, or by word of prophecy and revelation; these things Paul often spoke about, and it was a fundamental part of the Doctrine of the Lord. Accuracy is absolutely important, as it is the truth revealed by God's Spirit about the things coming. No part of the truth is left for guessing.
  • Joshua on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 7 years ago
If there was a 7 year tribulation period, then people in the tribulation period would know when Yeshua/Jesus will return. Christ Himself tells us that no man knows the day nor the hour of His coming, not even the angels of Heaven, but Our Heavenly father ( Matthew 24:36).

    To Matt - 2 Cor. 4:4
  • Matt on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 7 years ago
There is NO rapture, period. You will not even find it in scripture. As Paul stated, there is no way to prevent (precede) the dead, because they are with The Lord. All souls return to The Father (Ecc. ch. 12; 2nd Cor. ch. 5) until the great white throne judgment. At the trib. of the antichrist, The Holy Spirit will speak through His election (Rev. ch. 11) then the Real Christ returns: 7th trump.

David, verse 13 on applies to the righteous whom the LORD JESUS our Saviour corrected. He will Resurrect and Save His corrected as the world descends into descends into wrath, or hell. The wrath will correct the children of disobedience who refuse correction to this day. ALL perish in the wrath. Be blessed with love and truth in Christ. Amen. 1 Peter 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Ecclesiasticus 51:12 For thou savedst me from destruction, and deliveredst me from the evil time: therefore will I give thanks, and praise thee, and bless they name, O Lord.

It doesn't look like the chapter is in the context of a wife. Possess his vessel and do not commit fornication; v. 3. Use self control at all times.
  • David on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 8 years ago
In verse 4 it says we should know how to posses his vessel in sanctification and honour.
What does the vessel refer to, his wife or his body part?
  • Carol on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 8 years ago

Father, bless all those who seek You in truth and let us love those who hate us. In CHRIST JESUS we live now and for evermore! Amen. Psalms Chapter 4:2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah. 3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. 56:5 Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil. ............ John 8:47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Norm thank you bringing Eph. 5 vs 6 and Col. 3 vs 6 that brings the wrath of God to them that have been deceived and the worshipping an get caught with a fake husband saying they are not a widow any longer that their husband has returned but it's a false messiah not waiting for the true CHRIST who comes with no observation and as a thief because they are not even looking or watching for our CHRIST
  • Norm on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 8 years ago
Holy Father, thank You for letting us hear Your voice that we may know that in CHRIST JESUS we are saved! Amen Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Ephesians 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Colossians 3:6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
  • Word on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 8 years ago
Correct, all here to go through the TEST. The elect chosen to stand against Satan and the word of God that will come from them trying to lead Gods children away from the false messiah at that time. antichrist will sit in Jerusalem claiming to be God with his supernatural powers and false peace wanting to be worshipped as a God and those that follow Satan thinking he is CHRIST, are in big trouble.
  • Phineas masaku on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 9 years ago

8173767859 it'S not what I think, but what I believe, the Lord says blessed are those who believe and not seen. FOR I believe, for every drop of rain that falls,a flower grows, and I believe for every soul that born that heaven knows, and when I look at myself, then I KNOW There is a God somewhere over the rainbow, and that's why I believe.
