I really don't care about what others think. I want every Holy book written, the holy Spirit guides me, and I know truth from lies. Chanukah, the festival of lights, is all about the Maccabees and how God allowed the oil to that was only for one day, to last for 8. Yohua/Jesus celebrated it, so as to why it wasn't part of the Bible, maybe so only those who truely love him will seek out all his words, to live by them.
I am amazed at these scriptures, I had not known long. The information they give strengthens faith, points to Jesus the Messiah. Gives wisdom even encourages. I am blessed by reading them, Too
I believe that this book has been removed from bibles because of fear of what can be done when the children of the LORD Most High stand together in unfaltering faith. Those who had it removed must have not wanted to give further ideas or references to believers on now to stand firm in their faith and look to the Father for help and deliverance in times of darkness.
Let this resonate with you: Without the defeat of Antiochus IV by Maccabees [the real Hanukkah miracle] there would have never been been the announcement by the Angels to the Shepherds "Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. ( Luke 2:8-11)
Dear Harold, the short answer to that is: our salvation with its promises are given by God our Creator & Redeemer & are not from the intellect or authority of man. If man had devised this plan & given us an assurance, we have every reason to doubt & despair. But if God has done the Work of saving man, even to the giving of His Son to secure our salvation, then we know that He can be wholly depended on for that salvation & indeed, every promise given to us. John 6:37: "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out", is Jesus' personal promise to each one who has been appointed to receive eternal life & who approaches Jesus via the Cross. None who come to God in this way (His Way) will ever be rejected.
But the long answer is found in the reading of the whole Epistle of John. I can't share it in depth, but if you read it carefully with some things in mind, you'll receive much confirmation & blessing to your heart. There are four main reasons the Apostle John gives for writing this letter: 1 John 1:4, "These things write we unto you, that your joy may be full"; 1 John 2:1: "These things write I unto you, that ye sin not"; 1 John 2:26: "These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you"; and 1 John 5:13: "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
As you read this epistle, keeping in mind those four reasons for writing given by John (i.e. for the fullness of your joy, to abstain from sin, be aware of & reject false teaching, and to know for sure that eternal life is your possession both now & into eternity), the Spirit Who inspired these Truths, will confirm to your heart that what has taken place in your life, is not false or wasted, but done in God's Power & Plan for you. I have the original Roman canonical laws . What it shows is that Rome took over Judah/israel who taught the law of God, . Rome banned the law of God.&Stole these books , took over the synagogues & told all the non jews ,that Rome had written
the Bible& that it Taught romes god's days( lies) Bc the Bible is about Israeli/Jewish historical records of God &generations from Adam,moral law, prophets that prophesyabout the Messiah Jesus that would come to restore Israel& bring gentiles to the faith. It shows that Rome stole. Many books and letters that made up the faith Judaism. That is the faith of Jesus.. not just documenting God's law but also how they kept the months of God (which are not the months that are kept today)How they kept Feast & the Sabbaths ..also how they were to treat each other with love and how to. and then they had the genealogies of all of the Israelis and Jews from the bloodline of Adam . These books also documented the Kings that reigned in Israel and the wars about Nations that took over and put them into captivity
And how God took them out of captivity too..This is a case of one of those books that document this history..of the temples DEFILEMENT and how Judah and a bunch of other devout Jews had fought to take the temple back after the enemy did . Stealing from them killing their babies .similar to what Rome did later

I think the Maccabees were great and fealess men of God. Men with great and Godly courage to stand up,fight,kill,and die for righteousness. what was righteousness? The preservation and the keeping of God's commandments and his laws. They fought to keep the faith and belief in the one true God alive as well as to keep reading and living by God's laws written in the scriptures which we call the Bible today. Remeber that at that point in time not only was Judaism in danger of being destroyed or abolished but also God's written laws were destroyed and burned in the fire by the hundreds. Copies of the scared scriptures were ordered destroyed and anyone caught reading or even holding one of the sacred scrolls(or books)were executed by the order of that godless, tyranical, and wicked ruler Antiochus IV Epiphanes. The Maccabees were and should still be an inspiration to us all today because beleive it or not, of it hadn't been for them we wouldn't have the Bible today or wouldn't even know who God is today either.Through them we can definitely learn the importance of taking a stand against what is wrong and to fight for what is right whether it's for our freedom to worship God or anything else that isn't against the will of God.
