God provides...In season and out of season. Although the circumstance may change, He does not and He will not. We must trust in Him and lean not to our own understanding BUT in all our ways acknowledge Him and He will direct our path. Trust in the Lord. He is in control. The ALMIGHTY God in the mountain top is the same God in the valley low. He is with His people. He will provide for His own. He alone is worthy to be praised! Amen.
Verses 11and13 show that God factor is absolutely important .Man proposes but God disposes. Verses 11and13 can be compared with 1Samuel1:9b "...for by strength shall no man prevail."
We, as children of God, are suppose to annihilate utterly destroy the enemy so that he can't ever get another foot hold into our lives. We are never to come into a covenant or any other agreement with him because he is the enemy. He will always display a false humility to put one at ease so that you have mercy on him. We found out that God was not please and Ahab lost his life over it.
Verse 11~One should not boast about something in the beginning because he or she can not be sure of outcome. We can rejoice in the final result of something.
The God that we serve showed the Syrians and their King- Benhadad that He is a God of the hills and the plains. He is a God of everywhere. We trust you Lord Jesus to be our protector and sovereign King and not let the enemy overcome us.
We must always seek God 's will and direction on everything we do and be ready to obey Him even if it seems unreasonable to us. Uncommon obedience to God 's unusual commands brings blessing and not judgement, may God help us to be obedient in Jesus name.
The utter importance even of an unusual command of the Lord in the prophetic utterance is seen. There is a penalty of a swift death for defiance of the command by the prophet because a prophetic similitude depends on the smiting, which affects the king and nation of Israel. The logic of db kindness in a dense human understanding overrode for the first man in the way, the divine reason requiring obedience to GOD.
THIS CHAPTER TO ME, WAS ONE MAILNLY SPEAKING ON "OBEDIENCE".
THOU SOMETIME WE TEND TO LEAD FROM THE HEART, WITH GOOD INTENTIONS.
BUT, THE QUESTION, WE SHOULD ALWAYS ASK, IS "WHAT DO GO'S WORD (THE BIBLE) SAYS?" DON'T GET ME WRONGE, WE (I) MIGHT HAVE LOGICAL ANSWERS, TO QUESTIONS, BUT, OBEDIENCE TO GOD'S WORKD IS THE ONLY RIGHT THING TO DO, AND WE ALL FALL SHORT.
